Great video as always! I don’t know when having to treat for this will come up in my future (we don’t seem to have a lot of it here - probably has to do with the lack of sheep 😂🙈) but I really like the method you’re using. You can clearly see that you’re managing EACH sheep to their best compromise of their needs and the need to get their head under. Except for the last two of course, getting to go together haha. I’m a small producer but I can see in my case that I’d want to keep that as calm and easy on them as individuals as possible - some of mine are incredibly feral as it is and if I used some big system they’d remember it forever and I would never catch them again 😂🙈
Merry Xmas team, hope you have a good one and no sheep get out on the day 🤣 Is see a kelpie man developing before my eyes! 😜 Moose is definitely benefiting from all the work 👏👏
15:14 is that the ram towering over them?? No issues with lamb sizes with these two breeds? I’ve been terrified to let my big ram anywhere near the smaller ladies 🙈
Yeah it’s a fair point Wendy. I applied for it for 5 years because honestly the money was too good to pass up, considering we want to buy a house and hopefully a farm 1 day. Luckily hill farming is almost organic. But it’s quite restrictive and a pain in ways, like the testing for example, grand if the sheep are out behind the house but when you’ve sheep on a mountain and you have to run them in and test them to see if they have the thing first, even though the weather is wet and vets are saying there’s a lot of it around!
Why on earth would you dip sheep in an 18th century style trench , because you must have seen the NZ Built Portable Sheep Jetter Sprayer's as you worked out on some of the sheep stations in Australia in the past year
Not sure if Ireland have something we don't in the UK, but here we don't have any products licensed for use through a jetter (even though there is a few still around).
Happy Christmas to you Karol & Jazz, love the videos, best wishes Sue & Ben (Woodhall Spa) xx
Thanks!
@@michellefrank8116 you’re very decent, thank you so much! 🥰
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Jazz

Great video! any idea if/when Joanne will be making videos again? Hope you and your family have a very merry Christmas!
You'd need a better lid on your tank😄 Them sheep would wreck your back and break your heart as well!
It’s getting shook! 😅 Aye they wear you down over time. 😂
Have you ever came to Blessington to get your Wicklow Cheviot rams ?
Do you think ram lambs kill quicker than wethers ?
In my view Organic is a pain in the A . You have prove that you need to do what you know you have to do in the best interest of animal welfare.

Sounds handy, one second and I’ll pull one out from behind my ear. 🤣

Because those NZ jet sprayer systems are shite, good plunge dip for 1 minute worked in the 18th century and still does in the 21st

How long has the dip been in tank? @Ewetube
