    Okay, I'm not a motorcyclist. Never have been, and probably never will be. While sitting in a drive-thru yesterday, I spotted a silver Stryker and just sat there...staring at it! It was gorgeous! A few minutes later, this guy walked out from the restaurant and I commented on his bike and asked what it was. He gave me the lowdown on it, and how he almost bought a Harley, but was glad he didn't. He got his bike with 400 miles (2011), last year from a guy who just never rode it. He paid $4,400 for it. I immediately Googled it, and I'm a fan. I'm hoping I shouldn't try to talk myself into this, though!

      I'm not sure how big you are, but this is a heavy bike for a person to start out on. I'm 18, 145 pounds at 5'10. I have rode many bikes as I've grown up. I currently have a Yamaha V-Star 650 which weighs about 500 pounds. It is a great cruiser to start out on. On the other hand, I would totally buy this Stryker, as I do have some experience with bikes. Just a few words :)

    The Stryker is a great starter bike. My 2015 SE was my first ride and as Jon mentions... its about respect, respect the ride and you'll be good. My wifes first ride is a V950Tourer and she tried my Stryker last summer and loved it! And last summer was her first year riding!

    I have ridden motocross and sport bikes all my life. Never had a use for a “cruiser bike” style ride…. Until I flew into N.C. this weekend and rode my brother’s Stryker on the Blue Ridge Parkway….. That bike is a lot of Fun…..! It has fun usable power, sits and rides really comfortable and got a lot of attention. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed blasting those curvy roads up there in the mountains.. If your thinking about one or on the fence, I loved it and I didn’t even like those things…!! That motorcycle is a lot of Fun!!!

    I have the 2017 model and i fell in love with it the moment i saw it. The day i got my blacks (full open licence - Aussies have power restrictions for learners) i drove straight over to the dealer and picked up the keys to my brand new Stryker. I was nervous going from a 650cc to the 1300cc and honestly, there was no need to be nervous at all. The power is there if you need it but it is far from unmanageable. Its a beautiful bike, and as a lady rider i appreciate that it isnt as bulky, makes lane filtering easy and it is surprisingly agile. LOVE THIS BIKE.

    At 6'4" shopping for my first bike, the Stryker and the Fury were on my shopping list. Highball was the top of the list and ended up with a Vegas and love it. 1731cc but I needed a bike that fits my size. Ironically couldn't find either the Stryker or the Fury to view when I was shopping.Landed on my feet though, Victory is an awesome ride!

      @@michaelb.42112 A Honda Shadow is a nice bike. I don't think there is much difference between a Shadow 750 and a 1300, in terms of performance. The biggest difference might be in the modifications. I have since moved on and unfortunately sold my first bike. I still miss it from time to time. With 56 MPG that Honda shadow is built for good long rides. Congrats on getting back on a bike and enjoy those long rides.

It has 2 usb ports, victory Performance exhaust, power commander, brand new spare 240 rear tire, LEDs. Runs great......thanks for your help from you videos

      @@jtbasic Right on, brotha! Congrats on the new ride. I didn't wanna persuade you one way or the other, but victory probably would've been my choice as well. I like its overall personality and character a bit more. 💯🤘

    Would someone that is 5'5 be able to ride the Yamaha Stryker?

    • @JonsMotoGarage
      @JonsMotoGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I'm only 5'8" and handle it with no problem. It sits nice and low t the ground and the bars come back quite a bit.

    Been debating between this and a Kawasaki Vulcan

    • @JonsMotoGarage

      My two cents: vulcan for handling/fun factor. Stryker for style and comfort. If possible, try em both out at a dealer. Both great options.

      @@shinobi_ryder the FZ for sure but they are 2 different rides. I could not get comfortable on the FZ but the newer models I hear have addressed that.

    There is no such thing as too much power only too little discipline and experience. It is only 10+ Horsepower and Torque than a 1200cc Harley Sportster. The Yamaha Warrior also did not like slow speeds and it had nothing to do with throttle control. Either you had to idle and drift forward or it would instantly jump to 30mph with barely a twist of the wrist (1/8th of an inch). The tank is 4 gallons and it gets 40mpg average.

    Aaw too much power? Get a scooter so you can feel the wind blowing up your Skirt. Shine up that penny on your loafers.
