@@PatsCreatureCave I will be content just watching them. I also have 3 Uromastyx and 2 Crested Geckos and an African Fat tail gecko and I handle all of those, My Thomasi Uromastyx is about the size of the viper gecko full grown right now, he is just a wee baby.
Love the videos I was hoping if u could do a care guide on viper geckos? There’s not a lot of info out there and they look like cool geckos to keep I will highly appreciate thank you
I will see what I can do over the next little bit. They are great little geckos, kinda clumsy hunters and prefer not to be handled but will tolerate it a bit. My favorite thing is that you can keep them in groups. My current group is 1 male and 3 females.
Thanks Terry! Yeah, I have been sitting in the creature cave just about every night snapping pictures and video and playing with settings. The lenses that I have bought from you have made a huge difference, I really appreciate all the info and help you have given me.
Thank you Sean. They are a neat little gecko, more of a display animal. Very easy to keep and they eat the same thing that all the slings do. makes it very easy to take care of them.
They will either lay in the moist hide I provided or they bury them in the substrate in the back corner where it's warmer. Since it is a full bioactive they bottom layers of the substrate stay moist.
Just found you on here, I am looking to breed my geckos, but they dont seem to want to breed, they have been together for a while they are about 3 and a half years old and both definitely male and females, any advice would be great 😊
It took me a while to figure the vipers out. Light and food were the main changes I made to start getting them to produce eggs. I shortened the daylight hours during the winter then increased it in the spring. I also fed them a bit more than usual to ensure the females had enough calcium and their tails were nice and fat.
I should also add have an appropriate spot for them to lay is also important. Mine chose to lay under a log near the water dish and a succulent. Likely because of the mild humidity from flooding the dish.
You can see the first Viper Gecko video here(unboxing and original enclosure build): th-cam.com/video/5MvpNj4ocT0/w-d-xo.html
I just bought 5 and I am putting them in a 36x18x18 bio active. At the moment I have eco earth and sand mixture for substrate. Love these lil guys
@@Cagal08 they are awesome. I love that they do well in groups. Some also don't mind handling occasionally.

Holy cow, I love your channel. Very professional, too
Thank you! That really means a lot and I appreciate the kind words.
Hey Pat. Vids are looking good. That 17-70 putting in work!

Omg! My red bearded dragon is named Ragnar. Really liking your channel so far.
Thank you so much. Ragnar is an awesome name. I have quite a few of my lizards named after Vikings.
Nice one Pat, enclosure looks great, never seen Vipers before, quite cute tbh.

@@PatsCreatureCave I'll have to look them up, see if anyone has them here 👍🏻
Awesome. Interesting to see them climbing. How do you find eggs in a bioactive enclosure like that?
