Hello I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have 2 daughters (Freja & Lucy) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she cool singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. Nightwish is from another Universe in so many facets, including those who support their performances, that it is easy to ignore Tuomas’ brilliance as a lyricist 🤯 blows my mind every time! Wacken Open Air is considered the biggest heavy metal festival in the world. In 2013 when this gig took place, about 82,000 fans were present. To me (a 55yr old), this performance by Nightwish ranks second best live performance of all time. Number one has to be Queen's 1985 'Live Aid' performance at Wembley Stadium in London. These two bands, Queen and Nightwish, to me are the greatest of all time. Queen, seen by many as a pop/rock band, in 1974 produced the first metal song entitled ‘Stone Cold Crazy’. James Hetfield, the lead singer of perhaps the world's most famous heavy metal band Metallica, decided to include this song in their set list, and they still play it regularly in their performances. This was recorded at Wacken Germany for 82.000 people,Wacken is THE metal festival (4 days) in the world ,all main metal bands played or playing here. I think Wacken started in 1992 (not sure) Nightwish IS the biggest band in the symphonic metal genre,they are most famous for their epic live concerts. Nightwish is a "rabbit hole",with a turbulant history and will also lead you to many other great bands.😉🤘
