Love the show. Just curious why you haven't done any Insane Clown Posse reviews. Having that they've been around for 20 plus years started their own fan movement. Released a double disc and two extended plays albums. Only hip hop artist that have their own music festival for 17 years straight. It seems that they're doing something correctly.

Not quite related to worst albums, but I'm glad you bright up that Animals As Leaders and similar styles of rock/metal not being your thing. He also referred to the vocals as cut-rate screamo/emo. I don't know if you noticed, but DGD's screams sound exactly like cut rate screamo and emo from the 90s. Stop listening to reviews and just extracting certain bits out of context to justify your own insecure opinion on the album.

I really hated the Twitching Tongues record too.... However, after seeing them at Tokyo antiknock in 2016 I really caught on to it. The vocals are really powerful in the context of the live show where they are contrasted with the other more typical hardcore sound. I have had this experience a few times now though.... Brennan Hibberd Let me explain. I found Caracal oppressive because it was incredibly heavy, overpowering and thudding. It may not be a nice word but it shows the best way possible how every listen felt. As for Royalty, I find it offensive because Chris puts himself and his cute little daughter on the cover, yet he talls about sex and luxury and drinks. It kinda feels like he's talking to HER and it's just disgusting.

I'm curious, if you say Instant Gratification was that bad why do you think it got critical acclaim? I just listened to a couple of tracks from the album and I can't stand it either, but then again I can be fussy with what music I enjoy.
As a die hard dance gavin dance fan I have to say instant gratification Definetly wasn't as good as their previous albums. I feel that some of the lyrics were very "meh" and just not that stand out from their well know crazy this doesn't make sense type. It was a great album no doubt but it wasn't like "dam this is fucking awesome" it was just pretty darn good but not as good as acceptance speech was, that album had zero bad songs. It was a perfect album. Down town battle mountain pt.II will always in my opinion be the greatest album DGD has ever produced. I think it's what perfectly defines and shows their crazy and groovy style.

Not quite related to worst albums, but I'm glad you bright up that Animals As Leaders and similar styles of rock/metal not being your thing. Reason being, it really solidifies for me that we don't quite share similar taste when it comes to rock/metal for the most part (except for Baroness, I'm digging them so far).
I've followed several of your rock/metal suggestions and didn't really feel them, which puzzled me at first since I usually enjoy your suggestions.

He also referred to the vocals as cut-rate screamo/emo. I don't know if you noticed, but DGD's screams sound exactly like cut rate screamo and emo from the 90s.
Stop listening to reviews and just extracting certain bits out of context to justify your own insecure opinion on the album.

I really hated the Twitching Tongues record too.... However, after seeing them at Tokyo antiknock in 2016 I really caught on to it. The vocals are really powerful in the context of the live show where they are contrasted with the other more typical hardcore sound. I have had this experience a few times now though....

Brennan Hibberd Let me explain. I found Caracal oppressive because it was incredibly heavy, overpowering and thudding. It may not be a nice word but it shows the best way possible how every listen felt. As for Royalty, I find it offensive because Chris puts himself and his cute little daughter on the cover, yet he talls about sex and luxury and drinks. It kinda feels like he's talking to HER and it's just disgusting.

As a die hard dance gavin dance fan I have to say instant gratification Definetly wasn't as good as their previous albums. I feel that some of the lyrics were very "meh" and just not that stand out from their well know crazy this doesn't make sense type. It was a great album no doubt but it wasn't like "dam this is fucking awesome" it was just pretty darn good but not as good as acceptance speech was, that album had zero bad songs. It was a perfect album. Down town battle mountain pt.II will always in my opinion be the greatest album DGD has ever produced. I think it's what perfectly defines and shows their crazy and groovy style.
Really, for me it's the other way around. I really liked more tracks off Instant Gratification rather than Acceptance Speech.
