Huge Iced Earth fan here. Their music has meant a lot to me, they really changed my life. I know every album by heart. I've met them too and they were very nice to me. Was heartbroken by Jon Schaffer's implication in the capitol bullshit, as well as his COVID denial, and haven't really been able to listen to IE since, pretty much. It sucks hard, because their music was a huge part of my life, but it just isn't the same now. This album was a very weird product and it truly baffled me, when I first listened to it. My take, sad as it sounds: it was a way to quickly release something "new" and make some money to help pay for Jon's legal expenses, seeing as he is in deep trouble after the riot. The music is all stuff that already existed, rearranged to sound like background fantasy music. The spoken stuff was partly already existing lyrics and partly new stuff that probably didn't take long to write. It's familiar stuff, if you know Jon. And obviously recordings the vocals wouldn't take long, you could probably do it all in one day. So, yeah, I think this album was simply a way to make some money as quickly as possible. The fall of Jon and Iced Earth is truly depressing.
You really disowning him because of his pretty standard political ideals and the fact that he went with to the capitol with a crowd? And the fact that he thinks covid was exaggerated? Covid WAS exaggerated! it’s a fact do some research.
@@DoktrDub 1) I didn't really say that I disown him, I basically said that i am let down by his actions and statements. They soured the music for me. I can't help it. Also, what does disown him even mean, in this context? 2) He wasn't merely there, he stormed the building and had bear spray on him. The storming of the building was stupid and dangerous and people got hurt, even killed. Over what? 3) It's not just his being there, he gave statements at the events that didn't sit well with me. The fact that a man whom I've always seen as smart would go there because he sees Donald Fucking Trump as a force for positive change in the world is depressing. The fact that he destroyed the band over this belief is even more depressing. 4) COVID wasn't exaggerated, fuck off. Also, let me add that I don't think this is unforgivable or that he can't come back from this. And he definitely doesn't owe anything to me personally. Honestly just seeing Kanye at this point just makes me sad. One of the most influential artists of our generation devolved into... this. This pathetic, self-important nonsense that long since gave up on anything but stroking Kanye's massive ego. I honestly just hope he gets help soon and drops from public eye. The man needs it and I would rather him retire now and save what little credibility and honor his legacy had than ruin it all with these statements. But he won't. No, his managers and fans are going to keep feeding into him until it reaches a boiling point and god knows when. It just makes me sad. I can't even listen to his music anymore without thinking of it. I mean I still enjoy his records don't get me wrong but... it's still there.
I was around when Kanye very first dropped, and he always struck me as a self-important asshole. Never liked any of his music, glad to see him fall off finally.
@@paultapping9510 I respectfully disagree. At least in relation to his earlier work. I will admit he was always an asshole and he had one hell of an ego but I always thought he was able to properly back it up with really damn good music and narratives and stories anyone could relate to. Or just being so over the top you couldn't help but sing along and enjoy it. His ego, for better or for worse, defined alot of his career. Unfortunately, as we've seen recently, that can easily turn into your greatest enemy as much as your greatest ally...
Would you say it was his mother pass the point of no return or the divorce?
@@DoktrDub over 6 million deaths is “exaggerated”.
@@yakkro. Wtf? Did you just insinuate he supports the Nazi regime?
@@DoktrDub how is that a standard political ideal bye
Buy, yes, at the moment his music is pretty much ruined for me. IE has always been close to my heart and these events are not, so I can't do it.
WHY IS MELON'S DIABLO 2 NPC IMPRESSION SO ON POINT 💀💀💀
Hi everyone, Deckardthony Caintano here...
Its basically just an old man voice but true its really good.
I was a big Iced Earth fan 20 years ago (yeah, old af) and had no idea this existed. I hope the streams and $1.74 Spotify checks this video brings will fill Jon Seditioner's prison commissary account.
Just because Drakes Vegan Cookie Recipe turned out to taste like shit doesn’t mean you should put him on a Worst List
Idk how Jack Harlows album got left off this list
I completely forgot that even came out, maybe that's why
Because it’s not that bad…? Just doesn’t stand out
I think because it was more inoffensive and bland than it was outwardly insulting to anyone's sensibilities
its not as bad as anything on here
was underwhelming and there are like some songs that are songs and are listenable unlike honestly nvm for example
Cannot believe the #1 was Soul Calibur stage intros: The Album
Drake the typa guy to rub his hands together and wiggle his fingers and say “don’t mind if I do” before grabbing a scrumptious baked good fresh outta the oven

I really enjoyed Anthony's fantasy narration over MIDI tracks, extremely DOS RPG.
Iced Earth's album is like that because it's not "the band" anymore. It's just Jon on his own being weird.
idk what’s more impressive, that fantano was able to find 3 albums worse than mainstream sellout or the fact that someone could even make an album worse than mainstream sellout
Try to sit through that iced earth album it's complete torture
I mean mgk wasn't that bad, it's just his previous 2 records focused on rock genre is obviously better than this
Surprised Viva Las Vengeance wasn’t on here. That album was PAINFUL to the point I couldn’t finish it.
Two songs into "A Narrative Soundscape" and I am dying (of laughter, mostly). This is Metal Corey Feldman. "Declaration Day" is easily the most unintelligible far-right anthem I can imagine (for now).
Why did Iced Earth feel the need to take their songs and narrate them? Real bruh moment
Their epic Jan 6 battle needed a narrative soundscape bruh
The Iced Earth record reminds me of the intro of Spinal Tap’s Stonehenge, but for the whole album
I die of laughter everytime you mention Kid Rock having 1 flow 😂😭
Nav's latest, it really did it for me. I put it on, and I couldn't help myself. I punched so many trees. People saw me do it and they were confused but they were Nav Normies.
Eventually I got put into prison but I did it all for Nav. Every night I would cry "NAV IS THE GREATEST POET AROUND" although it took a fellow inmate (meth) to tell me how to pronounce poet correct
poot
The most insane part about this list is that somehow Flawless Like Me and No Stylist aren't even on here despite both those records scoring a 1/10
0:42 Drake - Honestly Nevermind
2:41 Muse - Will of the People
3:36 ye - Donda 2
5:01 Ken Carson - X
6:29 Nav - Demons Protected by Angels
8:00 Black Eyed Peas - Elevation
10:07 MGK - Mainstream Sellout
12:03 Kid Rock - Bad Reputation
13:50 Tom McDonald - Brave
16:20 Iced Earth - A Narrative Landscape

@@lowkey1167 I guess you are new to Anthony’s channel. Ideas are more powerful when you learn them for yourself
That kid rock album was bad but it was also one of the funniest things I’ve listened to this decade. 10/10.
THANK YOU FOR REVIEWING A BLACK EYED PEAS ALBUM
He should review another Black Eyed Peas Album
@@stephenmassaquoi2814 He should review all the black eyed peas albums
@@KiddsWorldEntertainment How about Masters of The Sun?
The fact that Muse should be considered a barometer for the "state" of rock music is such a poor take. Mainstream arena rock band is at a low point, but so much amazing indie, progressive, experimental, etc. rock is being made as we speak!
He knows that, his most positive reviews this year are Indie, Progressive, and Experimental Rock albums lmao
I agree
Love this comment
@@pazuzu66.6 Does he though? I'm not so sure about that. His bubble seems quite small imo
@@fluidikons He put out his best albums of the year, literally just look at it lol
Based on the replies, it looks like Iced Earth just got the BIGGEST promotion they possibly could have.
The fact that he didn't leave a link to the MacDonald/Calhoun album for maximum disrespect 🤌🤌
I love it when anyone shits on Drake lol But Anthony does it so eloquently and cutting. "Are there worse albums this year? sure. That's why it's at number 10." Made me LOL
I love how there’s multiple Grammy nominated albums on this list
Shows you how left music has gone

Cause the only way I can feel what you are saying is by remembering what I feel for Bam Margera, staple of my teen years and childhood, but after ryans death it was just so sad to see where he has been heading and the hope in me is almost over.
@@brunomendoza3132 Dunno really
Imagine learning from this video that Iced Earth, which I like, has a new album out. That's what happened to me. I shouldn't bother with it, right?
..... no
Do NOT play this album unless you find trainwrecks funny
Not even trying to make a pun. You are extremely brave to see Tom MacDonald and Adam Calhoun make a collab album and actually listen to it anyway lmao
Anthony made a noble sacrifice for all of us
The iced earth lyrics sounds like you’re the announcer form Soul Caliber.
‘In a changed world, a hero emerges….. to battle’
If he's wearing the yellow flannel, he must love all these albums!
9:09 thanks for mentioning that, bep literally just lifted the hook of scatman 1 to 1 into the intro of one of the tracks, it was by far the most infuriating thing to me on the album
The Iced Earth album caught me off guard lol I wasn't even aware that was released

Kanye, Drake and the Black Eyed Peas all on the worst albums list is a christmas miracle
Holy shit, I was waiting for years until you'd finally mention power metal, and never in my wildest dreams would imagine it to be #1 worst album of the whole damn year! Even beating top contenders with Kid Rock, Tom McDonalds and Nav! I am genuinely amused how this came to be!
Oh yeah and that Iced Earth album is just a sad look into the mind of a racist uncle crumbling under his midlife crisis while he reminisces the times he put out good music.
that iced earth album sounds like a fiver gig
This is the first we’re hearing about his #1 and he talked about it for like two minutes 😶 His review of the Corey Feldman album was like a year long, I need more about this monstrosity
People who listen to tom McDonald and kid rock most definitely never get passed the aux cord at any point in their lifetime🤦♂️🤣
On god I was playing some Kendrick and dis mf has the audacity to say it’s trash and the only rapper he listens to is Tom Mcdonald 😐

That Iced Earth album is technically a remix album, every song has the same lyrics as something they recorded before with matching titles(just with the "narrative soundscape"shit at the end).
Holy shit I had no idea about this iced earth album but after hearing the description by Fantano and listening to 1 minute of the song I was in tears a laughing for like 10 minutes
Props to melon for sitting through that Iced Earth record. Takes a real dedication to the craft, my dude.
As someone who can appreciate many Black Eyed Peas songs in an almost ironic way, even I can say that Elevation is just miserable
Didn't even know they were still around
Sigh. I remember Elephunk
I agree, I'm like the biggest fan of them but this album it's just...
DID NOT expect number 1 💀💀💀
So this is how Kanye ends. Not with a bang, but with a whimper.
Happy to see fantano shout out classics like Iced Earth, finally they make one of his year end lists!
💩
Putting Drake on this list just because he’s a lesbian was a bigoted move, Anthony. Very disappointed in you.
Dude, this comment is four years out of date
Thank you, THANK YOU Melon for including the BEPs latest album. It's so bad and unbearably cheap. Another aspect that makes this record so insulting is the fact that they sampled Fergie's vocals on one track while she left the band.
I didn’t realize Iced Earth had a new “album” and after watching this I’m like “number one? I have to check it out” and after listening to the Dracula narrative (Dracula song was fantastic so clicked the narrative) and it immediately made me cringe. What were they thinking? Lol
Love that on both lists, Tom McDonald doesn't even get a link
The Black eyed peas « joke band kinda like Gorillaz but if they had nothing going on » statement was such a roast
Fantano's Iced Earth impression is 100% soul calibur prematch narration. By which I mean it gets me hot af.
Finally an album i like made the worst album list!
But seriously i don't think Will of the People is really that bad. It's not masterpiece but it's fun rock album with fun riffs and catchy hooks. It's silly but silly in a fun way. I don't think it's on the same level as other albums in this list.
Anthony finally giving Drake, Nav, and MGK yellow flannels? Glad you finally came around to these fantastic artists!!
