Hi randy, thanks for all your great content. One suggestion for your solo instruction videos. Could you please play the lick a few times normal and sloe speeds then break it down? There is no timing taught when you only show notes like this by saying, and then we go like this....
I simply cannot piece together the solo in this style with no reference points. Maybe somebody with photographic memory can but I need to hear a tempo and a context to understand where these notes fall. Thanks in advance.

Hi Johnny, Here I play usually two bars at the time as a unit slowly. Then I go into detail. Additionally the timing and rhythm are displayed in the tabs on the screen. Are you familiar with note values and this style of guitar tabs?

Didn't mean to send that yet,,,,,,, I appreciate that you share your knowledge and the fun of playing guitar. I have had my share of students over the years some of these teenagers blow me away and how fast they catch on to things.I started with a John Denver's greatest Hits album and the book with the cords above the sheet music. Boy I wore that record out until I knew every song.I tried to show them how to listen for the guitar and try to copy what their hearing and playing by ear because I believe that shows them how he guitar can bring the song to life and I think that instills into their hearts and souls the purpose they are fulfilling, well enough about me I hope this message finds you in good health bless you and your and what you're doing for people!!

This was CARL PERKINS SONG!!! I WAS A FRIEND OF SCOTT'S AND CARL'S. THE LAST TIME THAT I SAW CARL, HE POURED ME SOME MORE SWEET TEA IN HIS RESTAURANT. BOTH SCOTT, & CARL WERE REALLY NICE PEOPLE & I WAS A FRIEND OF SCOTTY MOORE FOR 30 PLUS YEARS & MY SISTER WAS SCOTT'S SECRETARY IN NASHVILLE @ HIS RECORDING STUDIO.

Not really, since Johnny B. Goode was recorded and released two years later than this version of Blue Suede Shoes. Both solos share the mix of Blues and Major Scale just like countless other songs, but apart from that don't have too much in common I think.
