Saw these guys play a week ago. The whole ritual was incredible, but Year Zero absolutely stole the show!
Year Zero hits different in this version. The pyrotechnics, the flashing lights on the beginning and ghouls standing without moving, the way all the lights go out at the end - it's stunning. I really hope I'll be able to see this live one day ❤

seeing this live could fix me UPDATE: i did see this live! i don't know if it fixed me per se but it was easily the best show i've ever been to and to go even further, the best night of my life. there's really nothing like a ghost show, videos don't do it justice! it's an experience i'll never forget. if you have ghost you really do have everything

I don't care for the live back-up singer version at all.. when it goes "Archangelo" the harmonies are too strong and drowns Tobias out. It sounds so much better when he's at the front and his voice is allowed to pierce through the mix. Maybe it's just the videos but it sounds weak.

Love the regalia. Too bad Ghost still seems a dull live band. They just play the songs through, allthough very well done but there is no new arrangements or suprise elements.
All the elements are there to be show of the millenia but poor execution.

Literally all comments from people who go to their concerts indicate the opposite of what you're saying. And they add new elements all the time, maybe they can't be heard that well in recordings. But they went from using the stock studio backing vocals and effects to adding new live backing vocals, keys and extra instruments (like tambourines, an extra guitar and pianos) on older songs). Not to mention each frontman character has different vocal deliveries so that's a huge change every album cycle

@@Lazarus_Cardinalis If you compare Ghost live for example Iron Maiden in 80s, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper they are just in another level. They are entertainers esp.Cooper with his show which was almost a musical with great theatrics.
Robbie Williams is also a GREAT live act because he is natural entertainer.
Now Ill take Ghosts awsome songs anyday over great live show BUT....But they could be so much more. Tobias has the character but he does not become it, think Gene Simmons.
They all the set up and greatest music but the entertaiment sphere is missing....
@@jakeneva8349 I really don't understand why you are saying that when they recontextualize their older songs every album cycle with new light shows, extra instruments, backing vocals, new members and also add all osets of monologues, little comedic skits and theatrics to every ghoul. I think the criticism would have been VERY valid to early ghost, like the first two eras, but they have been innovating their show since then with every cycle

I love seeing growth. If you look and watch lives from their 2017s shows and stuff vs today's, oh my Satan you can see the difference. Not that they were ever bad, just saying they finally found how they wanna perform and such ya know?
