    Today's divers may have more technical skills but nobody ever matched Greg's grace.

      That’s why I never get bored of watching the first jump time after time. So simple, so beautiful.

      Haha that would be a cool video to make.. only 303As! Not many young divers perform these these days!

    1 meter is no used at international competitions?

    • @FlipnripDIVING
      @FlipnripDIVING  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is actually used at some of them. At the Junior Pan American Games, Junior World Championships, at the Commonwealth games, at the Sea Games and at the World University Games. They are not a the Diving World Series, or at the World Championships, World Cup or Olympic Games.

      @@FlipnripDIVING interesting, so why that? It has no sense

    • @FlipnripDIVING
      @FlipnripDIVING  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Marketoromagnolo I don't know the real reason for it but I can assume that it is because Diving World Series are "training meets" to compete at the Worlds meets, and ultimately the Olympics so they do not need to offer 1 meter events. On the other hand they offer 1m to the Junior divers for more exposure internationally, and at the World University Games, because a lot of colleges do not have towers, so divers only compete on 1m and 3m.. and these do not lead to the olympics.

    • @Marketoromagnolo
      @Marketoromagnolo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FlipnripDIVING interesting, maybe also it s a bit less spettacolare event. Same for ryhtmic gymnast. They have 5 events, but one is not used at worlds- euro- olympics : rope,the less spectacular is used only at yrs competitions
