I love listening to her speak. She’s intelligent and has a calming voice. Also very pretty. Wish this interview was longer, and if you haven’t seen the movie I highly encourage you to.
Loved what she had to say about Molly and Ernest's children and grandchildren. It's wonderful that family went on to thrive and be happy and healthy after so much betrayal and grief.
As a fellow grad of Mountlake Terrace High School (many years earlier), can confirm that Lily is the most famous person to ever attend our little alma mater 🦅 so proud of her!!
OK, this interview was too darn short. Lily's voice is hypnotic, her grace and demeanour are charming and i could listen to her all day. The interview finished awfully and abrupt.
agreed, the live interview felt short. i wish she’d been given the time Wahlberg got, but i guess since she’s “less established” she got the secondary interview block. the interview may have continued off-air during commercials as they often do. i’d love to watch the extended version if it exists. she was on Fallon too. i realize he’s not on Colbert’s level, but the interview was longer and equally lovely. same for Kimmel.
I sure can relate to her much more than many of the bloviating celebrities whose lifestyles and privilege are so completely alien from mine.are so completely different from mine.
As someone in whose life both Leonardo da Vinci on one side and Meryl Streep on another had an extraordinary impact I could see what you see, both comparisons do make sense indeed. I have a special connection with the Native peoples and culture so I really hope she wins and, I believe, most likely she will.
Love how "Killers of the Flower Moon" showed me why storytelling through visual medium in cinema format is crucial for so many groups or is more for telling the stories transparently for having better historical memory.
She was the heart & soul of the film. Some scenes she had to show her emotions w her expressions & not words. If she doesn't win the Oscar it'd be a travesty! Go Lily!
Her performance is effortlessly powerful. Her almost unnoticeable shifts in body language and speech as the film goes on are brilliant. The performance doesn't scream into your soul, it sneaks into it.
Seriously?! She picked a card depicting a Philipine Tarsier (man's smallest cousin and beyond adorable?!), and when I thought I couldn't love this woman any more. Edit: And a pet-bee named Bee-elzebub? What to say? ♥
@@HBarnill The story about John Wayne and the security guards is a myth. Don't go nuclear on this dude. She has a decades long career ahead of her. This will not be her last nomination. She is the reason, scorseses film grew into a masterpiece, recognized all around the world. She has already won the hearts of the moviegoers in my country. Greetings from Germany.
The spoilage I can attest to! Last year I picked up jars from my Aunt's garage THAT WERE MADE WHEN I WAS BORN IN 1962!!! Better than store bought I swear!😮❤😊😍🤩💋
We just watched the movie last night. Best Scorsese film ever - IMHO. Lily was amazing and this may also be my favorite role for Leonardo, too. What an incredibly complicated, painful story. We're rooting for you, Lily!
Great to see Lily on the Late Show. Have seen her on most the other late night shows as well. Kudos to her and her superb acting in the role. Seems they hinted twice that she had already won the Oscar? Or was that just me.
Now that's HERSTORY! As a member of The First Nations (my grandmother's family BTW that's where I get my cheekbones and ears from!), I couldn't be more proud of her! Hope ahe wins big! ❤😍💅🤭
beelzebub! i'm hollerin! 🥹🐝 she is gorgeous, and her voice is so soothing. it's very reminiscent of bebe neuwirth's voice to me. it's never too up or never too down. just so comforting. i wish lily all the best! 💙
This woman is so real in the phoniness of the Entertainment business. You can tell she doesn't really fit into this world, and Stephen is actually a thoughtful and empathetic person. I can't imagine her on some stupid vapid morning show or a red carpet being asked moronic questions.
I agree her interview segment should have been longer, but if you add up the two from Wahlberg it's 10 mins. and hers is 8 ½ mins. In the old Letterman days, guests got twice that. Too many ads, that's the problem. We've become an ADD society to our detriment.
I love that yearbook photo of Lily Gladstone because she was the exact type of girl I would've crush hard on in high school knowing full well she was way out of my league....and tbh that's still the case now
I loooove Lily and her performance was flawless, I do feel though Emma’s gonna take the Oscar this year. Her acting in Poor Things was unlike anything I’ve seen this year. Still though Lily rocks and I will continue to watch her. So poised, classy and kind!
I love listening to her speak. She’s intelligent and has a calming voice. Also very pretty. Wish this interview was longer, and if you haven’t seen the movie I highly encourage you to.
Worst movie I’ve ever seen. She was the only good part. Total waste of four hours.

What’s a “movie”?
Indeed
I read the book a few years ago. It made me angry and it was one of those books that you have to put down because you're crying.

Cutting her off from the ending of the story about the bee was sad and rude. I know the time was short, but that story was great.
I agree , way too short. I could listen to her talk for hours
I sure can relate to her much more than many of the bloviating celebrities whose lifestyles and privilege are so completely alien from mine.are so completely different from mine.
Absolutely!!@@eclectickimmer
what a lovely person she is. i wanted a longer interview. she has a beautiful presence.
I hope she wins .. she is a wonderful example and a sweet person , plus anyone that loves bees deserves the prize 🐝🐝🐝
I legit get Mona Lisa + Meryl Streep vibes from Lily. She’s amazing!
That’s what she looks like. I couldn’t put my finger on it.

oh my GOD you're so right!!! i knew she had a familiar face but i couldn't tell why!!
She reminds me of Melanie Lynskey acting wise. She’s understated, but captivating. Love her so much.
this has been bothering me for weeks and i finally see it in text omfg 😭
What a lovely role model for all girls, women, native cultures, and the toxic entertainment industry
Love how "Killers of the Flower Moon" showed me why storytelling through visual medium in cinema format is crucial for so many groups or is more for telling the stories transparently for having better historical memory.
Her appreciation of and respect for the natural world does not surprise me at all. Bless you, Lily!

i love her even more now... i can listen her speak all day. What a wise genuine pure soul
She named her pet bee, "Bee-alzebub." Cut too short.
Please have Lily on again. So lovely to listen to her
Oh my gosh the pet bumble bee story was so charming and wholesome. I hope she wins 😊.
As an Actor it’s nice seeing someone really deserving of living the dream!
Her performance is effortlessly powerful. Her almost unnoticeable shifts in body language and speech as the film goes on are brilliant. The performance doesn't scream into your soul, it sneaks into it.
She moves me to tears every time I see and hear her speak. Steven you cut her off too soon. Wish this interview was longer. Love her ❤
She’s just incredible. Her role in that film was the heart and soul of it. Good luck, Lily! 🐝
Her dress is so amazing!!!

Not to mention how she said Bee-elzebub like it was (and it is) the greatest pun in history
FINALLY! I waited for
this interview for a while❤Ms. Lily, so deep, thoughtful, perspicacious. Love her.
Love her....wish she'd had a second segment!
I read the book and also saw the movie and it just baffles me how much history was never taught to me in school (60+ years ago).
Something deep about her...some immovable, well built soulfulness.
The interview was too short, she is exactly what we need right now
Colbert: should have had Lily on for a 3 segment take! More please.
Congrats on the nom, Lily. Hope ya win it! And I wish Brando were alive to see it.
And don't ever forget how John Wayne and Clint Eastwood reacted to that moment.

Ok. That was way too short. I hate it when someone interesting is cut short. Wahlberg's been on many times. Cut his short. 😟
Emma Stone, I love you and you were brilliant in Poor Things. But Lily Gladstone needs to win this.

Emma has been winning more in the lead up. Lily was good but Emma's role was more challenging
Emma is not a good actress though @@jj-if6it

I could’ve listened to her talk about her bee friend all day 🐝
What a delight she is!
If the bee's die so do humans. A wonderful person to interview.
What an elegant, well spoken young lady! She reminds me of a native Drew Barrymore - hope she wins that Oscar!
Love that she loves bees. My dad kept bees and I still love them. They are fascinating and important.
I hope she wins, she's so beautiful and her work in the movie was so good.

Finally got round to watching the final season of ‘Billions’ recently, only to realize Lily’s been in it for years!
A woman of purpose and meaning who loves stories and the life in them. Just incredible. And a pet bee named Bee-elzebub - best pet name for a bee 😂
Despite him completely bypassing her comment about the larger betrayal these people have faced, we hear her. May justice eventually prevail.
Lily needs to read stuff to us...just a TH-cam channel of her speaking on bees or anything at all or reading novels. I am in love.
