I’m here in 2024. You all have not been forgotten. I come back to this track every now and then to remind me of a much simpler time 🙂‍↔️

      Here in September 2024.
I started WoW during WotLK. It was a special time. I left after Legion, in part because of too many changes to the lore.

I grew up with this game, watching my dad play vanilla, sitting next to him while he played his warlock raiding MC and BWL. Then finally getting to play during BC, I made a dwarf hunter and tamed the named bear in Loch Modan. Ol'Snoodie(still have him as my go to pet) once Wrath dropped I finally hit max level and my dad passed the raiding off to me and I raided almost every night on my hunter, being in the top 100 hunters in my server(which was actually really fucking special) wrath was my expansion and now 21 and in the Navy, coming back to hear this music, it hits me hard. Really hard.

This will make a beautiful opening for your "when I was young" story for your grandchildren :D "...and that's how I met your grandma in Hellfire peninsula. Those were them times alright. Like srsly, shit was ridiculous. Mobs would never spawn, 70's would camp you day and night... and then there was the Fel reaver. You BFA youngsters could never know!"

Not to ruin your story or anything but with some quick maffs you were 14 or 15 during wotlk so there is no way you were in top 100 hunters on your server unless it was some really obscure low population server.

As a beta-player i can say golden era has gone with Deathwing arise. My heart is buried deep down under the cold ice of Northrend with all memories, skills, time, glory, rage and happiness. Myabe one day someone will dig it out and feel the powerful bond which was created in only 4 years between game and a player. It may sound funny, but actually that's how it worked. Farewell, Azeroth. I will never forget it.

One of my favorite memories in wow was when I was leveling a resto shammy and I was going through Grizzly Hills.. I ran into this huge fallen tree that had been hollowed out so I went inside and it was the most amazing little discovery, it just went down to a little space and sunlight was seeping through the ceiling and the bassoon solo at 1:40 kicked in and it was at that moment that I realized I wasn't just playing a game.. I was playing a masterpiece. Something people will be talking about a hundred years from now.

It's just absolutely incredible that a video game was given such powerful music... music, which empovers the feeling of lands and story even more. Most of the films don't have music with quality like this.
Breathtaking. Nostalgic. Heartbreaking. This music has soul. And I lose my words while listening to it...

The Grizzly Hills music is so powerful, it has me in tears, never have I felt this way about a zone. It brings so many good memories, a time forever lost, but always cherished. To all the friends I made there and who I lost contact with, this song reminds of you.

This is one of my favourite musics in the whole game. So deep, so nordic, so bagpipe *-* and so colourful. Poetry made music. I remember stoping to hear this and howling fjord's one entirely, EVERY time I put feet in the region.

You have no idea how homely this is. Never before have I ever heard such calm music.... music you want to stop to do something else.... but you can't. You just close you eyes and enjoy an adventure through the woods of Norway. Blizzard needs more of this. Grizzly Hills and Howling Fjord was the first time in WoW, I felt at ease. And I just, keep, listening.
May your heart and mind take you to places no other has gone before.

Also Bambi's Mom got shot.* Quest Giver: WHERE'S A HERO WHEN WE NEED ONE?! *WoW Toon still relaxing to the atmosphere and music not caring otherwise.*

  • @samwisegamgee6206
    @samwisegamgee6206 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Yes I started in WOTLK, but I feel privileged to have done so. Even if the game was technically easier it never mattered to me. WOTLK hit you so god damn hard with feelings, atmosphere, beautiful zones, and in dept quests and story that you actually cared to see everything around you. These past three expansions I never cared too much about what was going on. WoD is definitely the best since WOTLK, but all it does is use NPC's already placed in past games and re-use them.
WOTLK was an experience I'll never forget and 3:49-5:26 with the sad sounding music always makes me think of my Tauren sitting down with a book of photos, some missing friends who had died.....others showing his adventures in Northrend and at the end of the song he closes the book.....the end to his adventures sealing the past and letting it live on forever........

+Music Playlist nah that aint true that change they did in the pre wotlk patch during tbc it literally made the game a milion times eaiser, and when they decided to let everyone get epics which you could attend icc with kinda made it even easier. PvE wise wotlk was a simple joke way to easy

Came to this area to level and fell in love with it. Somehow managed to find myself in the middle of a secret werewolf village during some quest chain and went off and one of the greatest escape quests in the game... scenery, quests, music... everything was spot on about this place.

This is compellingly beautiful music in its own right, and when considers it was composed for a video game, it is extraordinary. As many have stated here, I spent time in the Grizzly Hills not to quest, but merely to stop and listen to this sublime music.

This place. As a Horde player you got an extra Ring of Blood type thing you had to do and it was part of a questline so god help you if you needed to find a group for it. Other than that this place was really pretty with all the big trees and it was cool seeing them bring back Arugal. But to me I will remember this zone as the zone I fished up my Sea Turtle in. Michelle Beaty This decrease is completely natural. Every game will reach its peak, and Blizzard does a good job stabilizing it after the great sub loss. 100k sub loss is pretty good for a game that is.. 9 years old? You're not alone, sure. But most people stop playing not because they are very disappointed with the game, but because they lost the fun they once had (which is quite normal since it is freaking NINE years old).

Legion has zones like this... I'll just be there the entire time. zones like this and howling forge need to be common. Everyone loves these areas.

@Klamadatu I very much understand this. However i would like to remind you on that this music for certain is inspired by Scandinavian folk music. I am not an expert on this, though I am Norwegian. My guess is that this soundtrack is inspired mostly by Swedish and possibly Norwegian folk music. Glad you liked this video :)
