We were so lucky to have Grandma Emma. Unfortunately she has passed, but we were blessed to have her in our lives, and I’m happy that Tim was able to share her with all of you. ❤️

I was also physically abused growing up & am now living with my amazing grandparents for about 6ish years now & have made it to age 23.

Your "dad" being a jerk to you sounds awful but at least you got to go back to your grandmother afterwards, she sounds like a wonderful person and welcomed you with open arms it also shows that family doesn't always have to be blood related

I also have a grandma who’s isn’t a blood relative, and honestly I don’t care. Right before I was born my “real” grandma died, so I never got to meet her. My parents asked her best friend to be our grandma and she agreed, and honestly to me she is just as much my grandma as my other grandma
Same here. I had one who wasn't related by blood too. She died in 2020.

Emma is like the most caring grandma anyone can have
This is just so heart-warming and it reminds me of my grandma who passed away almost 10 years ago. I spent my whole childhood with her and I loved her so much. I can't help but bursting into tears everytime something reminds me of her
The "you don't have to be blood relatives to be family" at the end is SOOOOO true. I'm black ever since I was born I've been adopted by white parents. So hearing that at the end touched my heart

I had a similar grandma when I was a kid. I loved her more than anything, but she had to leave to be cared for by her own family and I was distraught. I never got to see her again. Hopefully one day I can go see her grave.

(So, I'm late to the party as usual.) I watched this recently after my own grandmother passed away. It didn't hurt too much until the veiwing, but when I consciously found that she couldn't say hi, or give us a hug, I got a sad feeling in my gut. Watching this made me remember that I'm not alone when it comes to this. Thank you, TimTom. ❤❤❤

Timtoooooom We love you man. Someone close to me had a similar step dad. It lasted for 10 years before they could finally move out. Constant screaming, throwing things, etc etc. I'm glad your mom got outta there relatively quickly.
