Started rewatching all the old vlogs a couple of days ago. It‘s just like a time machine. New video now is crazy. Edit: it really bugged me that Casey removed the wall and rebuilt half of the Studio without ever showing it. You would only ever see glimpses of it. Finally he is sharing it.
Love your content Casey but riding e-bikes that can go 30+ MPH in bike paths shared with non-motorized vehicles is fairly dangerous, especially on narrow two way bike paths on bridges.
I mean a top tier cylist is dangerous by existance in that way. this is a vehicle whick takes up the profile of a bike. Would safety overall be better with something of this size be on the street instead? This seems like a grey area overall and I am not sure we have figured out the answers. One could imagine more small but fast commuter EVs should be encouraged to have even less taffic in nyc.

I went back to 2015. I was a developer from Sri Lanka, just moved to Singapore for a job. I had stable internet for the first time in my life allowing me to watch TH-cam and I found Casey's vlogs. Those were good times.
These illegally fast "e-bikes" in the bike lane on one of the most heavily trafficked commuter bridges are so lame and toxic. That's not a class 1-3 e bike and those of us that have to commute on the BRB every day are completely sick of yall making the commute chaotic and dangerous. This shit is not impressive or difficult, yall have the streets, we have the bike lane. Stop endangering our lives cuz you're scared of cars.

If it goes over 25 miles per hour on electrical power, its not an ebike and is not legally allowed in a bike lane as far as the state of New York is concerned. 25 is the speed limit on city streets so if you're faster you are fine and there is no way you should be doing 37 among bikers. If you actually tried biking daily in the largest city in the country instead of watching this loser from a basement in Iowa you would understand what we are dealing with here. I see brutal crashes regularly and kooks like casey are almost always part of the issue. I cant get over it and move on, because I live it. It's beautiful to look at; but the fish pond right where the leaky fire hydrant is located; wouldn't comply with the city's property laws... especially 1. The fire hydrant should not be leaking. 2. There should be no obstruction near , towards or to the fire hydrant; especially during emergencies....And possibly animal cruelty. New York City Department of Environmental Protection fixed the fire hydrant''s leak; as well as the cracked pavement. Some safety questions.. #1 Where is that water draining to? #2 Will the drained water affect the surrounding foundations? #3 Will that pressure building from that faulty seal lead to the hydrant busting off the cap and injuring someone? It's beautiful to look at; but the fish pond right where the leaky fire hydrant is located; wouldn't comply with the city's property laws... especially 1. The fire hydrant should not be leaking. 2. There should be no obstruction near , towards or to the fire hydrant; especially during emergencies....And possibly animal cruelty.
New York City Department of Environmental Protection fixed the fire hydrant''s leak; as well as the cracked pavement.
And while the fish pond has been moved; the fish will possibly not be safe....due to unsafe various temperatures.
