- If you are wondering how to do the hardest boss fight in the game then make sure to check out this video!!! In this video I will be showing you guys how to run the ascension tek cave over on the island. The is the alpha version.... In my opinion this is farrrrr toooo easy of a boss fight and all that you need is a tek suit which makes this one of the easiest point and shoot types of fights in the game.... The overseer is wayyyy to easy!!!! Check it out, no dinos needed!!!!

***FOR OFFICIAL SERVER PLAYERS** for everyone that wanna try this solo on official, it is actually possible, i just did it, alpha tek cave solo on an official pve server(pc), however there are a lot of things to keep in mind, in the video he was using SINGLE PLAYER SETTINGS, which reduces the bosses hp and resistance by A LOT, thats why he finished the fight using only around 400 ammo with a 400% pump shotgun.. on official you will need at least 1500 ammo(i brought 1840, missed a lot of shots cause of lag.. and when i killed it i had 242 ammo left) with a max damage capped shotty which is 298% damage, also the shotgun must have at least 2k durability, mine was 2.5k and had 850 at the end of the fight. About the drone atacks, they actually deal less than 1 damage per hit but ITS NOT ZERO, its like 0.5 thats why the damage text was showing zero, so you will lose hp after some hits and they are super annoying cause they break armor dura and make it harder to aim on overseer so you will def want CACTUS BROTH during the whole fight so they ignore you.
During the fight you will see the 60 min timer going down except when it lags or server saves every 15 mins.. i used the whole 60 min and more actually, the timer will go negative 1 min and will disappear, but the fight continues anyway, its not like normal bosses that u insta lose after timer runs out. My whole fight was like 70 min long, i brough 50 ele for the tek chest but used only 11, so 20 is more than enough for 90 min constant use.(you will keep all things on inventory except the element if you actually win the fight, like a normal transfer).
Also watch out for monkey rocks, its a HIT KILL if you get hit so make sure to fly at max height close to ceiling when fighting the monkey forms.

My question is can you unpod a crew of dino's once you are past the "bubble" door, my friend that recently went down there with a crew says yes. But I am maaajorly worried he's wrong, I don't really want to fly down there with 10 rexes in my pocket only to have them... Sit in my pocket for an entire boss fight.
@@krackerskez im 99.9% sure u cant unpod anything past the main entrance, you can test on singleplayer tho just to be sure.. I'm not playing ark anymore tho

A full actived tek armor gives immunity to the elements

Good video, one recommendation is take a otter with you next time, it keeps you warm and gives you a place to put your gear once you kill the boss. He'll be back at the entrance to the tek cave once it's over.

@@TeachersGameToo I've enjoyed your videos glad to be able to contribute. It's really shitty to loose all your gear so a shoulder pet is great and since the otter keeps you warm it's a perfect choice. Keep in mind the otter may not be able to hold all your gear.
I've also used a terror bird instead of a wing suit to get through the tek cave. The name of the bird you can hang off isn't coming to me but it works pretty good for getting through the tek cave too.

Thanks for the video Teach My tribemate and I went in and the strat worked without a hitch. We flew in on a cloaked Rock Drake and took otters for the temp but apart from that we followed the strat and we are now Alpha ascendant. Keep the videos coming.

dont get too excited, you will get ur s beaten so hard if you do this on official lol he got single player setting turned on which makes the bosses like 10 times easier and he also got 450% shotguns that are impossible to get on official right now cause weapons get instantly capped at 298% even with blueprints, i think the only way to get a pump above 298% is a purple drop on ext but if you travel to island i think it will get back to cap anyway so no op shotguns for this fight

Use right shift to hover lock. Makes it a bit easier to dodge the laser stun when you don’t have to hold down that left shift.

Just did it on unofficial server for Beta, shotgun were the best, but we used grappling hooks when the spider, monkey and dragon forms were out to save some element. Thanks for the vid, it became quite frustrating having your tames follow and freefall past you into the lava. We killed the keeper when the time ran out.

So I'm not sure if it's changed since I did this, but me and my friend did this on unofficial but we had unassembled meks in our inventories, and you're able to deploy the meks in the overseer arena apparently, and if you use the shield module to debuff the overseer, it can make things way easy. Like I said idk if this still works, but we pulled it off and it made it so easy.

July 24, 2021 - This method still works, did it on Alpha difficulty on single player. used about 16 element to stay in the air. took around 900 shotgun shells with a 480 pump. Remember that if you press and release the right shift it will keep in in the air, only having to use spacebar every so often. Your left pinky will thank you. Used tek boots and chest, rest was fur from drops.
Took me about 45 - 50 minutes-ish, I did sight see as this was my first time.

Important tip: If you get hit by the overseer's stun ray you can use med brews even while in the air, this is the same for any hard stun in the game, aka shadowmane or cnidaria/jellyfish, specially usefull if you are loosing hp from cold
Just as I was approaching the point where you teleport to the arena in the cold region, 4 allos showed up to attack me. Just putting it out there that the freezing area isn't always safe and everyone should stay aware even in that part.

Ark is probably the only game I’ve ever played where the developers understand that shotguns remain deadly at mid range. As opposed to most shooters where u have to be smelling the breath of your target to kill it.

When I tested this the flying drones can sometimes when killed spiral in your direction and drag you to the floor and blow up killing you in the process
the moment your fps dips, your pretty much fucked when you in the glider suit
Sad to admit it, as your videos are almost always on point, but me and a bro tried this method (10/6/22) and it didn't pan out. Although it was pretty close.
We were using 220% shotties (was hoping 2 of us with those would make up for the 440% in the vid) and just wasn't outputting enough damage. I think somewhere in the vid teach mentions the shotty doing some kind of bonus damage, I get the feeling this mightve changed as our slugs were doing about 25-35 damage a piece, compared to those three digit numbers teach was dropping.
Thanks however for the vid, its given us a lot of food for thought. We'll get this done in the next couple of days using some of the ideas in this vid for sure.
Perhaps a stupid question but do you beat this, then load back into the same map, then you can move your stuff over to a new game mode e.g. Scorched earth via obelisks? I don't know how any of that works.
Needing to grind all the way up the tech tree etc would be a nightmare if you had to do that for every map.
idk if u knew but if u have a tech suit when u get to the safe zone at the end theres liquid element pool u can refill ur tech stuff by swimming in it but without a tech suit it will kill you

Sorry for what may be a newbie question , but What do you do after you complete the boss fight? Like how do you spawn your same character back onto the same map?
When I go to do it somehow I’m creating a new character. I’m able to use my beds and spawn locations, but when I spawn in I’m actually a new character unable to use the stuff my other (ascended) character has built?
I’ve went back with old save files and have done the fight twice with my original character, but I keep loading in as a new character.
What am I doing wrong? How do I continue with the same character?

How would you go through part 1 with only island engrams then? Asking for ASA specifically (in case theres a better start there)

never thought the alpha one was so easy, no time limit is nice. i wanted to only ascend the gamme one but you concerned me to just do alpha. i skipped the ascension because i want to see the ascension myself.

Can anyone help me find how to use that glider suit on console? Im playing on Xbox One X, and when he says to hold shift, I think that's equivalent to clicking the left joystick. But I can't seem to make this work at all. I always wind up swan diving after a few seconds of glide time no matter what I try. I've searched for articles and videos, but no one seems to have any advice for this on consoles that I can find.
Edit: never mind, I figured it out. I just wasn't starting from high enough elevation.
* edit... in the end it shows you the broken ark (red) which would be Abberration from where you will then go to Extinction. Or not?

just a heads up, and ascendant shotgun is a must for this. My mastercraft one with 1600 shots was nowhere near enough. Even with a rex army still ended up using over two thousand shots
What was the dmg?
Any tips on how to get one of those? I've yet to find a decent weapon drop. I just increased my difficulty so hopefully that will improve matters...

i could be wrong but looks like the floating combat text is saying "0" when you get hit and didnt see you lose any health. Must have had something enabled to avoid taking dmg
Actually the attacks are just very low hit power, the tek suit negates all the damage. I just did this fight this way myself, albiet I flew in on a Archeopteryx since I didn't have a wing suit. Unlike Teach, I did not have single player settings enabled and the fight legit lasted about 2 hours.
From my experience, the Drones and Defense Units do not damage players. Only tames
He doesn’t have anything enabled those drones in the air only affect tames much like on genesis you’ll get 0 damage hit markers with armor on in the lunar biome

Just thought I'd mention stuff can follow you through that bubble. Maybe not everything, but I almost died to some allo's in there and another guy with me did die. Make sure to stay high and try not to agro anything.

when i do it i use a rock drake because its very eay with it and you can just let all the enemy dinos walk into lava

Thanks for this vid, i was kinda worried if i can do it, cause i play solo on pve server, always thinking: do i have good enough dinos, saddles, guns, should i breed more to aim for even higher damage mutations bla bla bla... @@BigBoyNowYT I need to deal with alpha dragon first, cant enter the cave without trophy... So far I prepared 352.7 armor saddles, and my therizinos are 20k hp and 700% melee... Ill bring 18 theries, 1 pig and 1 yuty , pig on passive , and auto healing, and ill buff with yuty, i hope that will be enough. im on unofficial, so its harder than single player.
@@BigBoyNowYT Theries auto eat cakes to heal or i need to manually feed each theri when dragon is flying ? As for saddles, i have 334armor saddle BP, so i was like "why the hell not" , and its 5x rates, so its not that hard to get materials. And Im doing it all solo, so my tactic will be to ride yuty, pig on auto heal and on follow the yuty. When dragon is up , i will have some time to go from theri to theri to force feed it with cake ?

Can you use like a grapple and just stay there instead of having the tek suit? I'm a solo player and I've never done a boss, so I dont have any tek engrams
I have never tried it.... Would be really hard because the boss moves around a lot and could probably cut the grapple

Nuno2461992 I did the Megapithecus solo with 13 bred Rex’s and I didn’t have any problems. You could do it easily if you’ve got some good tames. It unlocks some tek items that are quit useful.

@@Nuno2461992 go to valguero and do the boss there. All you need is 1 rhino or yuti for u to ride and use the new val dino to dps the bosses. Its pretty easy and the dinos raise super quick
