Titanic work. Assembling is the easiest of all. Thinking through and creating a 3D project is colossal! And then combining the soundtrack with all these videos. And also preparing a cut of all these videos. I am amazed. The detail is simply off the charts. Thank you!
Just WOW!!! thank you so much for breathing life into this old platform that is wasting away in my garage. Phenomenal. I just finished upgrading one of my two enders to a voron switchwire, leaving the other all sad and unused. Now i gotta tear everything down and go at it again. This is genius
dude, you just keep giving me good ideas. there's a few changes i'd make, personally, primarily to improve enclosure capability but otherwise it's fantastic & a cheap way to make better use of parts most of us already have. i have several extra extrusions i've been wondering what to do with, but this project gives me ideas.... 😁
I do not have any Creality printers. However, I find your videos both very educational and motivational. I hope you moved from Russia. Thank you for your work from a patron.
You have me really thinking about getting another Ender 3 Pro for doing one of these. I want to get better at filming and documentation and this is a really awesome use of old parts!
Excellent video! You did a great job explaining the most important parts of this project. I have been waiting for this one. I will definitely build my DuEnder! Ender 3 printers are dirt cheap here in the US because a lot of backyard print-farms have upgraded and have loads of Ender 3 printers for sale. Even if you just have only one Ender 3, you can now buy a second one for a bargain! I want to build my DuEnder for the fun of it and also to save two Ender 3 printers from a landfill!!
The projects are really interesting, simple and easy to use or modified. Thank you. P.S.
Sergey, I do hope you now have own printer production company or invited by guys, like Prusa. Because it cant be other other way after you modelled FULL thing and made project in digital 🎉
I will be building 6 of these. Though i will be using a 3rd -z and linier rails. On all motion systems. Currently looking at motherboard options. My goal is to spend as little as possible to build dependable workhorse klipper core XY printers as the core of an upstart buisness.. eventually getting to a point to where I can have an established package of parts for the BoM and slowly expanding my future farm by buying up older sender's getting swapped out for newer machines... If I can use at least 1/2 of the parts from 2x enders3's and pay 1/2 price or less than what the ender 3 was going for new. Then it's a win in my book. Target goal of $500 or less for full build for each printer. Thank you so much for doing this!
Would be interesting to see if it would work with any of the larger printers that have the partially "solid" base like CR-10 Smart. Since it is already 150mm/s capable, with CoreXY it might reach its maximum potential. (I have seen that CoreXY mod of it where the whole z axis gantry movies on the y axis, not really practical doing it that way.)
@@EclipseElement 2.
With this configuration, resonance tests (with adxl directly on the nozzle) give about 10K accelerations for the Y axis and 13K for the X axis. With max printing speed up to 300mm/s. But these results, as well as the overall printing speed, will depend on the extruder and its performance.
This is great. I would love to see an Ender 3 converted to a CoreXY Vinyl Cutter / Plotter. EDIT: Do you think it might be a project you would concider doing in the future? I see that there have been vinyl cutter conversions before, but from what I see of your work, I think you could do it better.
I didn't plan on it, but I don't think it's a big problem to adapt the print head for cutting. The only question is the correct gcode and firmware settings. Maybe someday I'll do it if I find a use for it)))

You should make it awd as you already have models the front stepper holders and you have enough spare steppers from the enders. With 4 steppers running the toolhead its gonna be a nice speed monster
@Irbis3D I’d would consider implementing it sooner it opens the door to a whole new group of skilled 3D printing enthusiasts, and you are still in a early enough stage to make the small adjustment. Right now, it’s an Ender-to-CoreXY upgrade without the speed, but AWD would make it instantly appealing to high-speed CoreXY fans. Many of them already have Enders lying around or the DIY experience to contribute. These speed-focused projects have strong community backing and funding, which could be exactly what this project needs to reach its full potential.
It will be either the next video or the one after that. I wanted to release a video about installing Klipper first to answer most of the firmware-related questions. That way, in the AMS video, I won’t have to distract from the main topic.
I talked about this in the video and showed examples of these printers. On this version, the top two profiles don't quite fit. In the version with rails, which I'm already starting to prepare, it won't really matter which printer to make it from.
