1974 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Ultimate Transformation!! Saved from the Scrapyard!! Junk to Jewel!

  • We found this 1974 Chevy K5 Blazer missing it's axles and suspension laying in the scrap pile at a junkyard. In a previous video we swapped the suspension to 2WD using a similar year C10 pickup as a donor and the drivetrain from a 1975 Chevrolet G30 van. Let's see if we can't make it look a little more appealing and road worth at the same time! I'm getting attached to this one and I've got a TON of labor into it thus far but I'd let it go in the as seen condition for $9,500. If you don't like the price, move along! As always, thanks for watching!

Mr mortske, when dealing with a Dent and not wanting to use hammers, you can use a deflated Basketball or football to shove behind the dent and slowly inflate to pop it out, this works very good for pickup beds with whammies in the side, might not work for the blaze but it’ll do, dig the blazer, just hope to see the quarter rust repaired? Keep up the good work!

Duffy thoughts on test drives. I wonder how far this POS (piece of sh** ) will go before I get to bail out and run around? Why does this donkey insist on no windows or heater until July and August? And then he can't shut it off so we enter the Mortske Carnival "Gates of Hell" non-amusement ride. Hey Mortske I need one of those Hamm sammiches.

Mr. Mortske this might be a silly question but I'm a kid and we do ask dumb questions sometimes. When u say you are gonna loose the shop are u being funny or are times really tough right now, I only ask because I have learned alot from ur video's and I would hate for u to have to stop making them if u lost the shop. From watching your videos you have made me want to pursue auto mechanics or some type of fabrication when I graduate. I'm 13 and this past weekend I did my first break job with my dads supervision of course on my mom's car and I learned it from you. Thanks for all the informative and funny vids! What I like about your videos is that they're not like little Snippets it's actually like watching all full length movie.

White wall tires are for old men driving Buicks. The Bloozer needs white steelies, dog dish center caps, and black tires.
Love what you've done so far with this truck. Perfect stance, and still fully functional.

Another Monday Mortske fix. Whether you take a Blazer up or down from the stock height, it's always a winner. From Drab to Fab,

I usually drive the little roll pin out for the accelerator pump arm. One less linkage to monkey with when trying to reassemble everything at once!

Love the wheels and tyres that you have on it, lots of chequer plate, and Matt black paint, that’s the coolest ratter ever.
Smallest digital instruments possible, hidden in the dash, which is left as it is. Make it roadworthy, but make it look as though it isn’t.
I would kill to have something that cool.

1974 K5 Blazers are virtually indestructable, and this one is no exception, plus they like it when you take a torch to em, an added attraction is the parts interchangeability with other Chevys, imagine that, also I am not going to slag on Fords.

When I did the engine swap in my '85 Ranger from 2.9 to 4.0 I opted for an electric fan. Noise is hardly noticeable over engine noise. I've got a set of magnetic end screwdrivers purchased at Harbor Freight. You can also do it "Rednecky" by taping a fridge magnet to the screwdriver shaft. Enjoy your content.

Cool ol blazer, nice to see you bring er back to life. My brother had a mid 70s K5 with 35s and bright yellow. Driving it felt like you were taking up 2 lanes! Thanks for sharing!
