    Same connector on the 950 - I didn't have the plug on my sat nav so I cut the wire and used the plug you showed me, works great thanks

    Cheers Mark, I have the new Enduro so it is great to see a post that is exactly for same fittings.

    I have a Pikes Peak 2019 - exact same. Works very well.

    For those that have been asking the mount is SW Motech Ducati MTS1200 2015- Quick Lock GPS/Sat Nav Mount. It's been great and does not obscure the dash instruments at all.

      Mark Marshall - Is the GPS still readable with a tank bag on the bike?

    • @markmarshall1500
      @markmarshall1500  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would depend on how tall the tank bag is? With a Kriega adapter and the
      5lt or 10lt bag fitted I can still see the GPS.

      Thanks! What's the Kriega adapter? Does it show in your video?

      If you look at this video th-cam.com/video/y67Z8ZHalvA/w-d-xo.html (in my channel) you'll see me fitting a Kriega tank adapter to my Ducati 899 Panni. It’s also simple to fit to the Multi and you don't therefore need lots of
      adapters or bike specific luggage. The Kriega “one-fits-all” concept is guaranteed water proof and quality with a 10 year guarantee.

    Great video. I think I found the connector. Both wires are black. Which is power and which is ground?

    • @markmarshall1500
      @markmarshall1500  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps there is heat-shrink over the wires... If you have or can borrow a multimeter use that, or look further down the wiring loom to see the colour coding..:)

    Thanks mark. Can that plug be changed and used to power things like phone chargers?

      I would have thought so, but remeber the current carrying capacity of that fused connection. I doubt it could porovide much current.

    Hi there, I have a 2016 dvt Multistrada and I am trying to fit a Tomtom xl satnav I have the mount and the cradle I just need power to it. The 12v accessory socket is not of the 12v cigarette lighter type but I’ve bought and modified it to fit into the 12v accessory socket but won’t work even though I’ve tested it with a 12v battery and the plug light up like It should, maybe I have a fuse out I will check. The other way is to attach to the supplied wires as per this video just need to know is this a 12v supply or a 5v supply that is needed for the tomtom satnav .

      The video shows a keyed (on with ignition) 12V supply :)

    How have you modified the cable supplied with the browser so that it can connect to the motorcycle installation?

    • @markmarshall1500
      @markmarshall1500  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The other parts of the cable are secured out the way under the side panel.

    • @juanjosezorro9763
      @juanjosezorro9763 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes, but I mean the black and red cable that comes with the garmin browser, you have modified it and at the end of both cables there is a white adapter

    do you try with tank bag? Do you see the nav or bag obscure the screen?

    • @markmarshall1500
      @markmarshall1500  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the small Kriega bag with the tank adapter (see my 899 video) but this was a small item and didn't obscure the MULTI dash info. A larger tank bag would so perhaps a RAM type mount may work for you.

    Where did you get your connector ? JSP i believe

    • @markmarshall1500
      @markmarshall1500  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The connector came with the satnav. The mount came from sw motech and the connector into the wiring loom was included by Ducati 👍

    What should i do if the gps is not turning on?
    I even tried changing the black/red polarity

    • @markmarshall1500
      @markmarshall1500  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would check the fuses in case swapping red & black (polarity) you have blown a fuse.

      +Mark Marshall if usb port is charging, everything is fine right?

    • @disa9781
      @disa9781 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Had the same issue actually, current comes out but some times it doesn't and my phone keeps telling me to check the connection. Thoughts? Would polarity have a play in this ?
