Hi Paul, given all the different versions of iOS and variations on commands/sub-commands available to particular network devices, is there a specific version of iOS that’s used in the exam at least as a baseline?

Not specific not and they don't test on IOS versions as such. Aim for 15.1 as it's more about the protocols and services than the version.
