- For this series I’ll be taking you with me through New York & New Jersey to various Music Stores & Record Shows. Sifting through CD’s, vinyl, and whatever else the stores have to offer. Then at the end I’ll un-bag the loot and discuss why I chose the ones I did. Come on…let’s go to the record store!

It seems a cool store and selling some equipment, finally 🙂 Quickly saw a McIntosh amplifier and some not so expensive modern Marantz but I like it 🙂
I have that Mötley Crüe's "Decade of Decadence" on a double LP 🙂We share it with my friend, bought it 50/50 long time ago 😀It is not mint at all but it has been in regular rotation for a while. Nice compilation and a cool band pic on one of the inserts 👍🏻🙂
"The Outer Limits" reissued on vinyl, well, I do not know 🤨🙂
And I need that Crumbsuckers CD, would take it for sure 🙂 Pre-1991 Metallica stuff on vinyl it's another story 🙂

Hi Brendon, we had this record store back in the day in Sydney called ‘Zounds’. A really cool store located in a basement in the city centre. Had everything. I really miss those days!

Great record store. I miss the Empire era of Queensrÿche too. There were many great albums there from Trixter, Tesla, Slaughter, Heart, Iron Maiden among others.
This store had all the best stuff from my favorite era of music.
I got excited when Brendon showed that Neurotic Outsiders CD! That album is so rockin', so tight, explodes with energy! Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) best work outside The Sex Pistols - folks, get this album and live a better life! Great vid. felt good all over seeing this music store! Thanks Brendon and Anthony.
Nice record store! Huge fan of Trance here. Recently picked up their album Break Out on cd. I need more UFO in my collection. Cheers 🍻.

the first Mr. Big album is my favorite but you can't go wrong with the first two... the second Living Colour CD for $2 is a steal and another awesome album
Wow ..that is cool ..we still have old record stores in London in the backstreets, and find like minded people who like certain time and space we hold to our hearts. And still play that music, as musicians too, with a strut walking down the street !

Dream After Dream is actually my favorite Journey album. Destiny and Sandcastles are great. One of these days I want to get to Revilla. I've met the owner, he bought some records from me here in Brooklyn and I've bought records from him at shows. Cool guy.
Great video. Love watching the Going To Record Store episodes. I was hoping to see what you two came out with. I like that part of those episodes too. Also, overheard Anthony say it might be a $1000 day. Lol. Was curious what he bought.
What an awesome record store. Love the fact that it sells vintage stereo equipment. How much for that JOURNEY 'Dream After Dream' LP (saw it's $10.00 - excellent price) and KISS 'Asylum'? Cool Japanese vinyl LP imports like Gary MOORE's 'Live In Japan'. CDs for $2.00, $3.00...that's cheap. Cassette tapes are more expensive than CDs. Cassettes are making a comeback.
Brendon, for some reason I didn't realize you were going to do a Q&A show (excellent episode btw!), and seeing you guys walking in the streets like that at the beginning of this episode and talking about all the stores in the area, came a question to me: when you decided to move out of NYC, did you pick a neighbourhood where you knew there were going to be record stores? Was that one of your criteria for deciding where to buy a house?

No not for this one. I wanted this video to have a different feel from the others. Also I only bought two CDs, the MOD which I mentioned in the video that I took home and also the Richard Hell CD that I showed.

...god-DAMMIT, I MISS Record Shops!! ..spent my LIFE in those joints! ..Tower, HMV, Virgin Megastore, Vinylmania, Rebel, Golden Disc, Joe's, Sam Goody, Sounds,The Wiz, Titus Oaks, Rec Runner, Disc-O-Rama....those Owners were SICK of seeing me! ...ha-HAAA!! ....memmmoriesssss....
I know what you mean. They were beginning to disappear on my when I lived in NYC and then I moved to NJ and found a whole bunch of new ones. I hope they don’t start closing. I would be lost without them.
it's amazing that the vinyl resurgence and Stranger Things brought back cassettes... 8 tracks will be next when the 1970's cycle comes round again.
According to some stores 8-tracks are already selling. Factory Records has a HUGH stock of 8-tracks.

the new Joe Lynn Turner album is fantastic and MUCH heavier than the stuff he did with Yngwie & Rainbow - he got rid of the wig too and looks so badass now

It was hard to tell from the video, but what was the CD selection like? Looked like they didn't have much. Always looking for new stores, and with Vintage Vinyl sadly being no more, wondering if that's a worthwhile replacement for that area for those times when I have more time after my occasional Princeton trip. (I'm a CD person, so travelling that far for a store with a very small selection of CD's is probably not worth it)
i’d need a tutorial on getting a cheap but good record player if i were to try records…frankly i’m not even sure how to play one
