    Nice Kevin
I did a similar army for DBA based on early Syrian list mine minuscule compared to yours only 12 elements will make larger in the future for Rapax and WRG.
Ended up being one of my favourites a lot of work but as you say extremely colourful.
    All the best

@@koganinja100 thank you Louis. I always enjoy your emails there entertaining and wonderful. I have so many more armies to video and put up sometimes I don’t even know where to begin. I played a great American Civil War game today with My Friend John, the battle of Newmarket in the Shenandoah Valley using Black powder. We’ll finish it up next Saturday. In the meantime this week, I’ll try to put up maybe one more army on video.

A very good combination of choice and versatility. Currently building a Fatimid Egyptian and E/L Crusader army .Maronite archers and the local levy not sure of their clothing colors can you shine some light on this

What a wonderful collection! Your video presentation is outstanding. I am looking at starting an early 100 years war army in 15mm and am debating what size bases to use. How did you decide to go the direction that you did? Do you play a specific game or just collect? I would like to base that that I could use them in a variety of game systems, though admittedly, I will likely not play often. Interested in your thoughts. Your collections are incredible. Keep sharing! Take care

      Hi Dan
Thank you a lot. You should give me a call sometime. We can chat about it.
But. All ancients and medieval no matter the rules follow a specific convention. (Not skirmish games of course). Hail Caesar, to the Strongest, impetus, armati, mortem er Gloria or even DBA. Doesn’t matter.
40mm frontage. Depth is often irrelevant I have found. I mount all of my armies in this genre to be 40mm frontage by either 40mm depth on infantry and 60 mm for cavalry. Now one difference is most rules call for a total width of a unit to be 80mm. That seems to be standard. Or sometimes 120mm. Depending on the look you want. That’s two stands or three in width right. I just put it all on one base for looks. All my armies are 80mm frontage. All of them!
That’s about 16 foot a unit or 12 cavalry. Some people like it larger but this is the standard.
I play hail Caesar and two the strongest. Or armati if I want a simple fun game. My figures work fir all three. Hope this helps.
Early 100 years war army huh. I have beautiful ones. I could shoot you a few pics.

@@thekrausecollection15mmmin53 Thanks Kevin! Very helpful. I have been gaming for quite a few years now, mostly 28mm WWII, AWI, and fantasy games. Recently I have been really drawn to the 10mm-15mm scales, particularly medieval. These smaller scales really lend to the epic massed army look and game systems that I find so appealing. In addition 15mm would be quite a bit more affordable than 28mm and presumable quicker to paint. I do worry that they might be hard for 52 year old eyes to paint though.
I would love to see videos from you discussing the hobby side of your projects. How do you pick a manufacturer, what paints and brushes do you use, what painting methods do you use, how do you plan your armies/projects, basing techniques and things of that nature. I come from a 28mm background and I know different approaches might be used at these scales. I would also LOVE to see your 100 years war army! A video would be great or pictures would be good too. My email is danbuman@outlook.com
Thanks for answering my question about basing. If I start this project, I want a good plan in place as I would plan on it taking many years to complete to the size that I want. Keep the videos coming, they are quite inspirational! Take care

Saladin was quite brutal to other rival Muslim rulers and armies it is an interesting story

To be honest I think almost every army and leader has its brutal side. But as Wargamer‘s and collectors somehow we just enjoy painting in building and enjoy the history that comes with it I’m very glad that you like it and hope that you enjoy the other movies as well
