Great job on your video. I am also a 14 count stitcher/sometimes 16.. love your projects. I enjoy @stitchingwiththehousewives too!!! Your project bags are adorable. Nice to see another 14 counter who also dyes her own fabric 🎉🎉🙌🏼Denise
Great first youtube! I am a quilter too! Loved your parade of stitches. For the Tiny modernist Christmas chart you could get tiny beads from mill hill or maybe Hobby Lobby!
I have just found your videos….OMG …so in love with your WIPs. You have sent me down a rabbit hole now 😆. Thank you so much for sharing. You are truly talented.
Great first video! Welcome to the floss tube world. Your stitching is beautiful and enjoyed seeing your WIP parade. I am a aida stitcher too! Happy stitching! 😊
Nice to meet ya… I too am an Aida girl… I have a hard hard hard time seeing anything over 18 count and I don’t want to have to lug around a magnifier/light and wear higher strength readers so 14count is sooooo much easier for me….And WOWZA….You have oodles of wips but girl…… your tastes is sooooooo similar to mine…I’m not a big fan of samplers, love love love Priscilla & Chelsea, Lori Holt, anything Halloween 👻, Christmas 🎅🏼 and fall colors… Actually on the fence about starting my own flosstube. Been reluctant since I don’t have many finishes but my wips are growing…I’ve been a full time nanny to my first grand baby sine January this year and it has significantly cut into my stitching time and my quilting time as well. But I’m in heaven getting to be with my granddaughter everyday. Best job in the world. I take my stitching with me but never seem to get any done since she’s a busy baby when she’s not sleeping in my arms 🤭😍…now I’m off to catch up with the rest of your videos! Hi from Arkansas 🙋🏼♀️💝
Great first video. Loved every single one of your projects. I also like to stitch on aida cause I love the stiffness. I do stitch on evenweave too. In a hoop cause it is so loose. Till next time Happy Stitching. Kim
I totally enjoyed seeing all of your projects. Your full coverage ones are impressive. You do nice work. I am glad to have you in my list of floss tubers to watch. Can’t wait to see your finishes.
Great first video! I love finding other 14 count aida stitchers. My favorite used to be 18 count but my poor old eyes can only do 14 count with strong magnification. I also like the things you stitch. Great job on the dyeing you’ve done and your color conversions. I love the little packs of fabric from Hobby Lobby. The vintage taupe, vintage oat, vintage linen, spa and mist or my favorites. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Happy stitching!
Congratulations on your first flosstube! I haven't had the courage to dye fabric yet. Great job on your dying and project bags. I use the one from Amazin too lol. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Happy stitching!♥️🪡🧵

Great 1st video. I also work on 14ct but I did one project, tomato row, in 18ct and really enjoyed it. I'm going to do more in 18ct along with 14ct. I enjoyed seeing all your projects, they are fantastic. Aida rules, lol

Wow...what an Awesome 1st flosstube, your definitely a natural 🎉🎉!!! I really enjoyed visiting with you and seeing your beautiful work, dyed fabric and project bags!! I have subscribed and rang the bell 🔔 and looking forward to your next video. I also am a Aida stitcher and have recently fallen in Love with full coverage, which i stitch in 10x10 blocks in a diagonal with parking like you. 👍 Happy Stitching ❤
Thanks for your WIP parade - I've been meaning to do one too so that I've got a record of my stitching that can't get lost. Filmed one for just me a couple of years ago and my computer died and I lost it so I think putting it on TH-cam is a good idea - and lots of people are like me and like WIP parades so I figure that it wouldn't hurt to make it public too. Well done to you for your first one - can't wait to see your progress.
Great first video and look forward to more. I like the fabrics you dyed yourself. Pretty colors. I’ve come back after a thirty year break and started back on Aida , and can now stitch up to a 36 Linnea with lots of light and a magnifier. My favorite relaxing fabric is 25 count Lugana . I split the threads on Aida sometimes and get mad! 😂. I’m stitching Valentine patterns right now from Primrose Cottage. Fun and fast. See you soon. And I quilt. Your room is cool!
Loved your first video. I only stitch on aida mainly 16count but have stitched on 14 and 18. Your wips are great and love your project bags. I'm in the UK.
Great first video Dawn! Very cute project bags and very nice stitching. I am an Aida stitcher too! I have stitched 14, 16 and 18 count. Vintage Country Mocha is probably my favorite fabric, but I have stitched on lots of different colors. Your dyed fabrics are beautiful. Just a thought, you could just stitch the full column down the side of the house on your October monthly cottage piece, where you have the 2 extra stitches. ❤️🪡
Loved your first flosstube can't wait for the next. I've been stitching off and on since the 1980's. I still only use Aida and DMC floss and look for flosstube channels that do the same. One word…fabulous! I just happened upon your video and my heavens have you impressed me! While both of us share cross stitching as a hobby, I must say we are a bit of polar opposites in the choices of what we stitch and the materials we use. I’ve never stitched on 14 count Aida, my sweet spot is 36-46 linen and I’m mostly a sampler stitcher. To be honest I really wasn’t aware of “the look” 14 count Aida presents…I was astonished. Your stitching is soooo neat and tidy! And in my opinion that’s no easy task when working on a low count piece of fabric. Multiple threads are required for coverage and getting them laid in neatly has to take a little bit of extra attention. Kudos to you for developing that skill level. Another thing I found very impressive was your determination to stitch daily. I LOVE the little game you play each day! I just started WIPGO last year and that’s the game I play to ensure I stitch most days. I’ve been stitching since 1978 and I’ve never dyed a piece of fabric or stitched a full coverage pattern…you’re braver than I am!🤣🤣🤣 Keep posting my dear…you certainly have plenty of WIPS of which to show your progress!❤
Great, first video. Love your projects, not one that I’d really stitch on for the most part, though I have in past. As everyone says the longer you stitch your taste change so I have a bunch of sitting with the housewives they’re done, and I love them but now I’m Doing Blackbird and La d Da and Stacy Nash, and so on and so forth I am also in Illinois or western suburbs of Chicago. So nowhere close to you I do have two LNS used to have four. to morrow no make that Tuesday I’m going to Minnesota, so I’m going to pop in to welcome stitchery. And then in March I’m flying out to Utah and I will get to go to four different needlepoint stores and one retreat so I did all the things I like I subscribed and I left a comment. Have a great day.
Great job on your first flosstube. Your stitching is very nice. Always excited to see other Aida stitchers. I only stitch on 14 count Aida. Congrats on dyeing your own fabric. I'm too chicken to try that, yet.
Just stumbled upon your video tonight as I was stitching….girl, you weren’t kidding when you said you had a lot of WIPS! Love all the bags you’ve made and even the ziplocks ( we’ve all been there! ) Congrats on your first video!
Wow! You have a lot of WIPs! Me too! I also love to start things. I have tried to buckle down this year and get more finishes. We'll see how that goes. I also have twins. They are 23 now. Looking forward to your next filming.
Enjoyed your first Flosstube and all your projects! I'm an Aida Girl too! I used to only stitch on 14 count but recently have moved up to 16 or 18 count and really enjoying it. I'm from Illinois too! Thanks for sharing!
Welcome, love all your fabulous stitching. I also am a aida stitcher I do all the counts depending on the pattern. Thank you for taking the time to do a floss tube. Sounds like you are really busy.
I'll bet I know who your favorite designer is! Great first video and your variety of projects is fabulous. Hint: look at the camera, not at your monitor.
I just happened across your flosstube channel & knew I had to subscribe...I too stitch on aids...18 & 20ct but I also enjoy stitching in Monaco that I tea/coffee dye or that I rit dye. I am always happy to see other stitchers who enjoy aida as well. I love your taste in patterns...right up my alley :-) I will be looking forward to seeing more videos from you!
Hi Dawn! Great first video; I love the way you took your time showing us your many great projects. I, too, am an aida stitcher, and don’t know if I’ll head into linen at any point. Your bags are adorable. I, too, am in Illinois.

Congratulations on your first video! Can you please do a tour of the bookcases behind you? I am looking for ideas for my project bags and that looks great!
Congratulations on your first floss tube you did awesome! I also stitch on Aida 14, 16, 18 and 20 lol depends on the pattern. We have the exact same tastes in patterns, in fact I had some of the same ones you did! I also hate French knots! lol I use petite beads instead and fine it works quite nicely if that is any help? I hope you continue and I can’t wait to see your next one! 💕
@@Busymomstitcher Yes I do and they are the petite beads, they sell them at any of the needlework shops or on line store. Mill Hill petite glass beads. They come in a ton of colours so when ever a French knot is in a pattern I do that instead. I hope this helps. 😊
Great first video! Love your projects and love all your bags! Beautiful color fabric choices! What bag pattern did you use? Nice job in your cross stitching and I like Aida and Even Weave too! I’ve not tried linen just yet !
The Aida i usually buy to dye my self is at Joanns the Charles Craft white or the white at Hobby Lobby which is the artist fabric. Then i use rite dye or coffee tea dye. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
I 'm in Illinois also, are you in the north, central, or south. I am in the west central, so I go to be-stitch-me for my fabric. I've only been stitching for one year now, and DMC is my choice as well. I have tried hoops and q snaps, but I've been doing the sewing method for the last 2 months, and I seem to like it. Don't take this wrong but you seem to be not looking at me so I think you are looking at the wrong thing, but you are showing everything great. Great voice.
Loved your first flosstube! Also love the variety of projects, I am also a DMC and Aida Stitcher! Question- Do you have a pattern you use for your project bags?

We have the exact same tastes in patterns, in fact I had some of the same ones you did! I also hate French knots! lol I use petite beads instead and fine it works quite nicely if that is any help? I hope you continue and I can’t wait to see your next one! 💕
Do you use small beads for eyes and where do you purchase them?
@@Busymomstitcher
Yes I do and they are the petite beads, they sell them at any of the needlework shops or on line store.
I use the tutorial by elizabethanncanstitch but I change the size that I cut. Thank You for watching ❤️
I also only do 14 count Aida❤
I just so much easier to see! ❤️ Thanks for watching!
Loved the video! I’m an Aida girl too. Where do the Aida you’ve dyed yourself?
I’m in the central.
Love the video how many threads do you use 😊
I use the loop method!
Hello from Peru IL!
Hello
Question: I like the stiffer fabric also. Does dyeing the fabric make it too soft?
I have not found it to make it softer. To me the fabric is the same, sometimes the whole seems smaller but not to bad.
Thanks. Someday I will get brave. 😂
Great job on your first flosstube! Where are you in Illinois? I’m in Normal, IL
I’m from central Illinois!
Loved your first flosstube!
Also love the variety of projects, I am also a DMC and Aida Stitcher!
Question- Do you have a pattern you use for your project bags?
I do not I use Elizabethanncanstitch video on TH-cam but I change my sizes to be bigger!
@Busymomstitcher thank you so much! I love Elizabeth Can Stitch!
