Ye Olde Cross Stitchery is my LNS as well. It is well stocked with fancy floss, fabric, and patterns. Only downfall is the hours and days open. Retro patterns are the best! I love my Juki and it is a wonderful machine to quilt on! Happy Stitching.

I was a kid in the 80’s and I tried to collect all the Care Bears, until one day we were evicted out of our home and I never saw them again. 😢it was a sad day.

I am self taught with knit, crochet and cross stitch. Next thing to learn better is sewing with I've failed at a whole lot but won't give up on. I was knitting on a sock while watching. It is super cool you found a "you" pattern. It is so perfect. It is extraordinarily pathetic that there has to be a "movement" to be kind...cowards. 😡 Thanks for another video.
Self taught is awesome. I used TH-cam of course so I don’t know how it would have worked out if TH-cam didn’t exist😂. I learned before YT. It was read instructions, try, grumble at strange results, rip it out....repeat. Took forever! Family kept their distance. 🤣🤣 TH-cam is FABULOUS! That is where I am going to learn sewing, much easier. Never want to go back to just instruction books again. I personally would go crazy with just a single craft. Multicraftual Rules!! 😁
Wow, kudos to you learning without TH-cam, that’s quite a feat! 🤣 I would be cursing like a sailor trying to teach myself that way. Teaching yourself to sew wasn’t too bad. It’s intimidating because you are using a machine compared to using a hook or needles. I bought a simple machine first, nothing with bells or whistles and built my skills up from there.
Well before YT that was how they trained us to learn. If you didn't have someone willing to show you it was keep trying or stop trying. I'm way to stubborn to stop. The instructions for cross stitch showed how to make the stitch "backward" to how everyone does it now. If you see someone make the stitch "backward" either they learned from someone older or they taught themselves a long time ago.

Thank you! So when I pick from my Tupperware bin, I have a random goal on there with the project. If I get the goal done, I’ll write down a second goal on the paper and put it back…..it’s not an exact science but it works for me😆
I'm binge watching you from a hobby retreat in the mountains of Pennsylvania! Re-watching actually lol! I tried those needles that you mentioned! They really do slip through the fabric like a warm knife in butter!! I did have an issue with the eye of the needle fraying my floss? It was the size 28. Have you had that or do you think it might just be a one-off issue? Thanks in advance!

I was a kid in the 80’s and I tried to collect all the Care Bears, until one day we were evicted out of our home and I never saw them again. 😢it was a sad day.

Love that finish! I’m totally stitching A Summer Place by cricket collection. Its part of my maynia so I haven’t stitched much on it. Loved seeing your old school patterns. I love nautical as well. Don’t have a clue where I’ll put it all once its stitched but I’m gonna stitch it all away 😂
Ohhhh a summer place would be a perfect start for maynia! Now I’m gonna have to start my maynia plans😂 I think it’s safe to say we all have the same problem. I will need a mansion to hang all the stitches I plan to display😂

I am self taught with knit, crochet and cross stitch. Next thing to learn better is sewing with I've failed at a whole lot but won't give up on. I was knitting on a sock while watching. It is super cool you found a "you" pattern. It is so perfect. It is extraordinarily pathetic that there has to be a "movement" to be kind...cowards. 😡 Thanks for another video.
Self taught is awesome. I used TH-cam of course so I don’t know how it would have worked out if TH-cam didn’t exist😂. I learned before YT. It was read instructions, try, grumble at strange results, rip it out....repeat. Took forever! Family kept their distance. 🤣🤣 TH-cam is FABULOUS! That is where I am going to learn sewing, much easier. Never want to go back to just instruction books again. I personally would go crazy with just a single craft. Multicraftual Rules!! 😁
Wow, kudos to you learning without TH-cam, that’s quite a feat! 🤣 I would be cursing like a sailor trying to teach myself that way. Teaching yourself to sew wasn’t too bad. It’s intimidating because you are using a machine compared to using a hook or needles. I bought a simple machine first, nothing with bells or whistles and built my skills up from there.
Well before YT that was how they trained us to learn. If you didn't have someone willing to show you it was keep trying or stop trying. I'm way to stubborn to stop. The instructions for cross stitch showed how to make the stitch "backward" to how everyone does it now. If you see someone make the stitch "backward" either they learned from someone older or they taught themselves a long time ago.

Thank you! So when I pick from my Tupperware bin, I have a random goal on there with the project. If I get the goal done, I’ll write down a second goal on the paper and put it back…..it’s not an exact science but it works for me😆

I'm binge watching you from a hobby retreat in the mountains of Pennsylvania! Re-watching actually lol! I tried those needles that you mentioned! They really do slip through the fabric like a warm knife in butter!! I did have an issue with the eye of the needle fraying my floss? It was the size 28. Have you had that or do you think it might just be a one-off issue? Thanks in advance!
