Bro I admire your principles in trying to make fair pay. But do you ever wonder if it’s worth all the time waiting to find the perfect ride? For all the time you waited sifting through rides, you could have done a $25 ride and come back.
I would kill to have one of those rides from LAX back home to San Diego. At least if I were in your shoes and had to come back to LA, I would just camp out at the border and wait to see if someone wants a ride back to LA for $250 straight up. You’d be surprised to find out how many of these people coming from Mexico would be needing a ride to LA.
No offense bro I’m from Austin Texas, no one in my city ever waits airport that’s a waste of time, ya u see surge, but that’s how Uber does it they want you coming at airport never chase a surge, because Uber knows it
@@DriveLikeASniperlook bro, Uber is smarter than you lol u can’t play them they always win 😂😂😂 meaning u ain’t gonna get that 14 surge, Uber has over 1 million drivers, people will eventually take those rides cuz they get tired of waiting Uber wins lol
27 mins into the video still didn’t take a ride lol, I mean that’s cool I just can’t wait that long I’ll wait 15 mins but after 15 mins I’m either gonna do rides or go home… or do private rides
You are 1000000% right. Change in strategy after this. Look out for the content that shows it. That’s the beauty of this gig thing, we learn from our mistakes and learn from others. I fuck with ATX btw!!!
@@DriveLikeASniper ya atx is nice been here my whole life, but man Houston ride share is the worse I’ve seen lol I visited h town 2 weeks ago I tried Uber for a few hours during Friday night and morning I ingnored like 50 trips they would give you 16 bucks for 20 miles to airport I’m like damn surges don’t even show up and Houston is a big city with 1.4 million people, Austin ride share is def better than Houston
So basically just stay around LAX. Lol thats where the money is. People tend to tip more generously there if you help with their luggage. Also, doesnt airport rides get an extra $4 on top of the rides? I wanted a Tesla for uber black, but i see you BARELY get any. So its not a huge deal. I have an ioniq 5, a lot of people never heard of it and be wow-ed but when i was in a tesla people tip like crazy! Lol
@@DriveLikeASniper hmmm I wonder how effective that really is… I drive a bit different than most drivers and don’t necessarily go just for surge pricing or more dollars per hour as I promote a couple side businesses that I work on to all my passengers so there are times I take shitty rides where my goal for the day is to run across as many people in a certain areas as I can to meet them, Another thing I was running numbers on are the taxes we pay at getting a deduction of $.65 a mile …. So take one dollar per mile which would be $60,000 at 60,000 Miles driven at $.65 per mile deduction = $21,000 taxable income VS Four dollars per mile which would be $60,000 at 15,000 miles driven at $.65 per mile deduction = $51,000 taxable income That could be anywhere from $6000-$8000 in extra taxes that somebody would have to pay just for getting more dollars per mile… Obviously, putting more miles on the car, lowers the overall value a bit, as well as the chance to come across major repairs which these numbers I guess are taking it to consideration Ubers got this shit figured out down to the wire😂
Shiiiiiiit I’m def not figuring taxes out, my accountant can do that. Profits baby profits!! That’s it for ride share for me. If it’s not profitable, I’m not doing it
You wasted a lot of time rejecting to only accept 19$
I most definitely agree! That’s why I posted this to get better and help others get better by learning from my mistakes
I do regular rides from San Diego to LAX. I charge $400 and my clients are grateful.
That’s fantastic!! I’d do that for sure too.
if you need driver i can do that too lol i have tesla model y

I agree with you. I had to shift strategies for airport. Check out my video after this one. Thanks for the comment!
Looking at those good ride payouts. I'm reminded you're in expensive azz Cali 😂😂😂
For real!!!
I would’ve taken a lot of those offers. At the end of the day you made more than your gas cost.
That’s a given but the time allotment is importantly along w opportunity cost. I rather not move than drive for peanuts.

I’m coming to SD this weekend, I won’t drive for profit but it will be cool to be back in the city.

Drivers shouldn’t have to do this to get a decent pay
I’m always interested to learn about different markets. Which shifts do u generally work out there?
@@DriveLikeASniper like 5pm to 6am last night was pretty decent 435$ 23 rides 335 miles
Oh hell yea!!!!!! $435 is a solid night.
Cherries go rotten if you wait too long to pick them.
Yea I feel u. But can’t take bs that don’t make sense u know.
I did 210 miles for 175 . The guy wanted to go fast so it only took 2.5 hours.
Niceeee
I declined $390 for 250 miles. It would've taken me 8 hours round trip
I work in the santa monica area too everyday
95% of the trips were $1 per minute $2 per mile
Yeaaaa I thought I could get that $14 surge back. A lesson learned for sure
Also sometimes I rather not take a ride to a place bc I know it’s more than likely coming back empty leg and that kills the real profit I’m after.
You are lucky to get surges. We don't get those in my area. Lucky to get 1 an hour for a request. Small town.
Oh wow! What’s your market?
@@DriveLikeASniper Vero Beach, FL. Small town & I have a feeling a lot of drivers. I use the rider app to see how many drivers are around.
Once surge is up uber drivers go back online
They honk there horns so other uber driver go offline and build up the surge at the airports
Good looking out, thanks for that!!
@DriveLikeASniper no problem hopefully I'll see you around I drive a polestar2. Keep up the good work

Minimal surge in LA too
How do you do private rides ? cash trips?
@@omarbarron1767 ya or cash app or other cash app similar apps
Out of all those trips you took the trip with a 4.56 score haha.
What u mean 4.56 score?
@@DriveLikeASniper passenger rating was 4.56
Ahh. I don’t really pay attention to rider ratings. Although the ride I took wasn’t a great ride
@DriveLikeASniper sometimes it's a good rider rated unfairly but it's worth keeping your guard up.
I hear that. I tend to do mostly short rides so they don’t get a chance to act out if they are awful humans lol
Lyft sucks in Colorado too
The worst! I think they get mad as a company every time they actually have to pay us
@@DriveLikeASniper they’re just mad because people aren’t falling for their shit 70% my ass
