I used to have a Do It Yourself book that belonged to some kid named Owen. He'd only filled out half the book so I decided to pretend to be him and filled the rest of it out, inventing stories to happen to him and his family in the diary part of the book.

I had a cat in the hat themed "do it yourself " book that I received when I was little. years later, I read it, and one page told me to draw a picture of myself in the empty box on the page. for some reason I drew like 20 stick figures in the box. none of them looked like me at all. I must've been confused, idk why I did that.😂😂

"Dead fish" is the supreme answer because it's funnier the more you think about it. Does it imply the kid would have preferred alive fish? Did he actually try alive fish and like it better/dislike it less? Did they specify dead because they think people usually eat fish without killing them first?

This brought me back especially because I got a used one and it wasn’t completely filled out but I could see some weird erased drawings
Ok y’all. I bought one at a thrift store and well it was already drawn on, right? Well, I’m the end there’s the write your own journal, and mine was a little bit weird. The kid starts off by “I’m a bad kid. I do everything wrong. I just wish that I was good enough. My mom says i am bad. I am probably not getting any presents this year.” The rest is scribbled on. The picture is him breaking a window with a baseball, his mother yelling at him and pampering who I think is his sister. Later in the pages, he says “I wish I was like my sister. Mom likes her best.” Earlier in the book, there was the make your own comics, and he drew him with a skate board. From here we see his mother forcing him to give his sister a try, and the kid says “shut up Emily” and things like that. The results of the comic are his sister(presumably Emily) crashing and, well, getting injured or possibly dying? He keeps this pattern throughout the rest of his comics however they are different characters. This is an obvious case of child neglect. He draws himself getting yelled at, his mother shooing him away, and pampering his sister ‘Emily’. This is either a sick and cruel joke or a serious case of a obviously young child being, from what I saw, mentally abused and neglected.
