There's nothing worse than some random landscape photographer showing up at your secret spot... except maybe if they turn out to be a vlogger.
I finally entice Uncle Grumpy out for a shoot and then this happens. But everything is not what it seems.
In spite of these challenges, I manage to show you two cool photography techniques that I reckon you'll find useful. Yes, that's two full blown tutorials, one of them is even done in Photoshop.
The ancient one tries to hijack my channel to promote his brands but I'm having none of it. Will one of us fall in the river? Will any of us figure out how to use the deer gate?

Amazing! Your photoshop skills are far more than tricks. There's a ton of skill and experience in what you do. Only a true professional will understand, "You work with what you got." As always, love the video!

not gonna lie, i usually hate landscape content on youtube, but today i found out you can watch landscape photography videos on youtube and have your face hurt like hell because you keep laughing all along! Great video!

Another great video! Love the bloopers - when Adam was showing off his locks for some reason all I could think of was wanting to see a sketch with Adam as Doc and Gavin as Marty from Back to the Future.

I greatly enjoy Gavin's videos and Adam's videos, but you two together and the result is more than the sum of the two. As an amatuer landscape photographer I love the way that, even as professionals, you guys keep it real and have fun. It's always interesting to see how you approach and compose a shot.

Just want to say thank you for your videos. As we have been locked down for nearly a year in the UK I have enjoyed watching every video and they have been the only thing to make me laugh. Hopefully we will be able to go back to normal and take photos soon.

What a good start on 2021 -
That is a crazy image, seeing the rock below the surface in that clear turquoise water. I like your composition of it too. There's a river not far from my house here in Donegal, it has a few three foot falls in a section of it, not as deep or clear but it has the same circular holes in the rocks around the edges. The very same. It's called the "pots waterfall" The folks years ago and probably still today would find salmon in those circular holes (hence the name pots) where they got trapped when trying to go upstream, that was their dinners sorted back then. It's a lovely formation on the rocks too with the same stream of white bubbles circling around. Great to see Adam, he's looking very chilled out. Brilliant video and thanks for sharing

never seen one of those.... seems to be so wildlife can move but only in one direction... i presume away from that river where they could slip, fall, and drown???

Thanks for this video, and for showing me another great location on the Island. I'm a "Bridge Nerd" and so my Oyster River photography adventures have only been for the one-lane wooden Howe Truss bridge, downstream from the highway bridge.
Thanks for the reminder for me to consider what is below the bridges that I visit. :) We all have different interest magnets that attract us to different locations, but usually there is a diversity of opportunity at the location. Go for the bridge, stay for the pot-holes...

Great post. A perfect marriage between a genuinely helpful blending tutorial and honest hilarity. Gavin always comes through, but what the heck is going on, on Vancouver Island? At least tell me that great sticky toffee and Yorkshire puddings, meat pies and sausage rolls abound these days.

Another great video, Gavin! Adams videos are awesome but for some reason they are so peaceful and his voice is smoothing. This sounds terrible but they make me fall asleep whenever I watch them in the evening. No- I’m not being a dick 😂 he is one of my favourite photographers.

Adam ADAM!!! You forgot to promote your book. What a missed opportunity. Any of those little Photoshop or Lightroom tips are HUGELY appreciated. Im having a tough time learning those. I get shots and want to do things but I just dont have the knowledge. That "new guy".....oof he needs a gold star for using two fingers!

Was setup for sunset...guy comes along - on a 6 mile stretch of coast - decides to setup right in front of me. I said, sry mate, though your now right in my shot and his answer - 'I dont care'. My reply...no worries - enjoy - I'll just remove you in photoshop - have a nice day. I took my shot and then threw my sandwiches into the sea in front of him causing hundreds of seagulls to fill the skies....I should have taken a pic of the look on his face '') its easy to be a prick....

The rock formations remind me of the Strid. Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire. The danger is the river, not a drunk Geordie. GREAT video the Photoshop hint is really useful.
