I would personally like to see the follower dungeon system applied to the older dungeons. It would be nice to have the option if playing through the older content.
You mean playing through dungeons from previous expansions with the intended difficulty right? Because otherwise you can pretty much solo every dungeon from before DF.
@@frankenbou yup. so when leveling, you can experience everything before you hit 70, even though leveling is quite fast. but when learning, people might want to jump straight in without waiting for 30-180 minutes for a dungeon queue pop
As a Dad, the follower dungeon system is amazing. Being able to complete current dungeons without people raging when I need to go AFK to cut up an apple or help with homework is a gamechanger, literally 😂

Probably mentioned somewhere in all these comment but will repeat. If you are a Worgen, doing the Gilnean quest also rewards you with a new toy. It's a seperate hearth specifically to Gilneas on a 30 min cooldown. Does not share a cooldown with your actual hearthstone.
As someone that has no friends, I really love the follower dungeon idea. I hope some day Blizzard applies this to ALL dungeons in the game, but for now? This is a good start in the right direction!
Would be amazing to see the Follower Dungeons concept taken further. Imagine your follower NPC's having ranks and these ranks determine the difficulty of dungeon you run and what quality of loot you get. As you progress through the ranks, harder and harder dungeons become available.
Ιmagine the NPCs coming from your Warband toons. One fore each role, with a basic,automated template and power (disregard their ilvl) for that spec. And they also keep their current transmog gear

I agree it needs more. And they need to up the dmg the dps are doing. It's tuned so so low haha. And they need to program the AI bit better so they don't stand in things that kill them. Ever since this was announced I was screaming at the monitor "let us use our own alts for the team" it would be so much more fun. Haven't tried tank or healer in them yet but as a dps...it was a slog and a snore fest. Plus the healer kept dying. At times I turned off assist and did big pulls so that's on me. But during a boss fight when it just stood in fire puddles until it died...cmon. A decent first iteration and I hope they don't abandon it. Where I think this idea could really shine is old content. Transmog runs or mount farming, could be fun.
Blue post for the XP for follower dungeons "With a hotfix that went out to all realms at 2:35 p.m. PST (about 10 minutes ago), we’ve greatly increased the amount of XP you’ll get alongside followers. Throughout the PTR, your XP was reduced by 20% per follower, so if you ran a dungeon with two friends and two followers with you, XP was reduced by 40%. If you went in solo with four followers, XP was reduced by 80%. Now in the live game, each follower causes a 5% XP reduction. Your party of three players and two followers should see a total of 10% reduced XP, and solo players with four followers receive a 20% reduction."
Another cool usage for the follower dungeons is for configuring your uis. Sometimes I like to experiment with different addons or configurations and had to go to a dungeon to really test it. Now I can do it and take as much time as I need for configuring everything.
One thing I REALLY wish Blizzard would do is increase the number of quests you are allowed to have in your Quest Log at once. Right now, 25 is far too low of a number! My quest log is always full, yet I have to abandon quests all the time in order to add new ones. I could easily fill up my Quest Log, even if the limit was 50, I bet!
I look forward to Blizz expanding on these follower dungeons. Hopefully they allow heroic dungeons some day and maybe even LFR-level follow raids. Heck, I'd even argue to just replace normal dungeons with follower dungeons and LFR raids with follower raids.
I liked Dragonflight a lot. It felt like WoW‘s beach episode and was super wholesome and welcoming. The new features are great and I hope most of them stay the way they are or get even further improved on.
I loved the new Night Elf city but was very disappointed with the new Gilneas. It's still just a dead zone for newly made Worgen after reclamation. I had really hoped it would be a place to use like Stormwind or Ironforge beyond just a start zone.
Finally! Don't think I've done a dungeon since Wrath. It will be nice to know what the hell is going on story wise now. And to be able to complete profession quests and get mats.

Just a heads up for those not aware. There’s a head transmog you can fish up during the Gilneas quest line called Lord Godfrey’s Old Spectacles. I believe they are the glasses he wore during the worgen starting quests. From what I’ve read you only need to have started the quest to be able to fish them up, but you can still fish for them even if you’ve already finished the quest.
I am one of those who likes to tank or heal, but am not very good and need practice. The followerdungeons are perfect for it. Also, when you want to level alts from 60-70, note that it goes very slow and you need to be ilvl 176 (maybe 175) for the followerdungeons to unlock.
Cheers for this, I had no idea of the first questline with Alexstrasa (spelt wrong) as there was no indication of this in game when I logged in. It made up for the average "Battle for Gilnaus" quest line.
i like the dragonriding but i hate it too. im a mount collector and i hate that pretty much 95% of the expension im seeing 4-6 mounts... the joy of seeing all mounts as they randomly pop up is gone.
Little detail about Reclamation of Gilneas, Players can now finally snag the Transmog for Lord Godfreys' blue spectacles that he had back in the Worgen Starting Experience at long last: an Item that had been datamined but unavailable for *_13 years._* The only requirement to get these spectacles is to fish them up anywhere in The Ruins of Gilneas, and it'll take a few casts until you can find them. I managed to find mine after 71 tries, and they look very snazzy and very Ozzy Osbourne.
Chapter 4 of the emerald dream campaign is currently bugged on live, so if you havent completed it yet you will have to wait till it's fixed before moving on the epilogue quests. The night elf transmog bow seems to be bugged for some players and isn't interactable, you can see it on the weaponrack but cant loot it. if this is the case try switching to a different character if this is the case hunters seem to have better luck as to whether they can loot it (my warrior couldnt but my warlock could) Either during the questline to reclaim Gilneas or after it you can fish in the waters of Gilneas to acquire Lord Godfrey's old sunglasses, this is a transmog that returns an appearance of an item that was prior to the patch no longer available in game. The post intro questline for the azerothian archives after you have learned the basics of techonoscrying and excavating is currently a buggy mess, the quests with the NPC and elemental totems to excavate digsites will bug out and YOUR progress will be reset when players turns up to start THEIR quest, then when you talk to the NPC to start over again the other players' progression gets reset, and the cycle repeats. Best solution is the shard hop to an empty shard with no one else or to do the quest in warmode. The quest Hidden in the midden in zaralek cavern is a real pain point till they fix it. The big dig site (currently in the azure span) suffers from the same problems the iskara tuskarr feast did, lags when to many people are in the zone (especially when there is also the tuskarr feast, a maruuk centaur hunt, and a primalist storm in the zone), also it has the same issue the feast did where if there are too many people at the digsite the NPC wont assign everyone tasks, which means the task bar doesnt fill as fast as it should/would if less people were there, though unlike the feast you can just click on the excavation dirt piles to contribute to the event even if you didnt get assigned a task. You will have to mouse over the world quests to see if they are azerothian archive world quests or not, they currently dont have a visual UI marker to differentiate them from the standard low level world quests which could lead to players missing them, since they award currency for the new event/rep vendors that can be frustrating.
In the future, being able to do LFR with followers would be great, too, to avoid the long queues, loot drama, and toxicity. I know that Delves are coming in the next expansion but have a feeling that devs will still put all the best rewards behind raiding.
Follower raids should not have gear rewards. You only have to do a tiny fraction of the work, unlike delves. Plus, if they did that real player LFR queue would be like a day long 😂
As with some others, hard disagree. The point of LFR is to see the fights in their most basic form, NOT for gear. You can craft higher gear, get higher gear from the event stuffs and so on. A good idea if you are tired of waiting for ques is to play a role in more demand like tank or heals.
Yes! AI dungeons perfect for me to practice being a tank. I have wanted to tank since BC but never had time or confidence to learn the dungeons or spec. Really happy to see this
I was so looking forward to the solo dungeons, I am the not so confident player! I am what I like to call a 'titivator', going into dungeons etc was only ok to play when my daughter and son-in-law were playing, unless it is old content for mounts, pets and transmog. So If you don't mind I am off to Azeroth for some fun and mayhem. 😉

I started the artifact things and so far found it utterly frustrating. I and many others were confused as to how the water/fire/pile of dirt thing worked and how many times we failed, making it take forever. I"m sure it will be fine once we are used to it, but there was a lot of grumping in the chats. Found all the cosmetics in the new zone except the bow. Did the Gilneas story and finishing up the Belemeth stuff now. Gonna give the Outland Cup a go soon (tomorrow). I'm happy for the follower dungeons but I kinda wish it scaled a bit to ilvl to make it more of a challenge. I took my bear in there because she still had the quest for one of them. I pulled huge groups cause I can but the followers were standing in everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, so eventually I had to slow down. I couldn't brez them which I thought was weird.
I really hope they will increase the level of difficulty for solo dungeons at mythic and pref unlimited key cap so you can not only level yourselve but master your class on your own so you can try out a lot of things without taking others in consideration. For me it would be awsome to try tanking and healing on higher keys so you can control them after a while and get into keys with friends and knowing what to do. I do keys myselve as well 23 timed sofar(not really high but going to aim 25 soon) and that is fun to do but is limited now only for 2 chars atm.
If they allowed Mythic or Mythic+ for follower dungeons, then they’d have to make the loot table inferior to ones that require other people so that you’re still incentivized to play with other people.
About flying, at this point we'd really appreciate flying order zones like Silvermoon, Exodar. We've seen older parts of the world re-worked, why not this.
The issue with being able to use dragonriding mounts where you couldn't before even if you can't dragon ride. Is now random favorite ONLY picks dragonriding mounts in zones where you can't dragonride 😥

I found a questline last night that sent me to Argus too, the quests for it are presented with the campaign-style exclamation point style highlights, but in pink. But I just came back a couple weeks ago, so maybe this was part of the previous patch?
I was a bit dissappointed in the Gilnaen quest. Hordeside was fine, but I was expecting the Allianceside to be different other than same as Hordeside with an extra step.
I am still bummed you still cannot fly in Silvermoon. I have been dreaming of flying thotugh that city since TBC. Does anyone know why you still cannot fly there.
If you’re referring to those diamond shaped icons when he summons that fancy looking gryphon, I believe those are referred to as Vigor. All dragon riding mounts use them but the gryphon mount’s are diamond shaped while the others are oval.
It would be nice for the follower system to apply to higher difficulties. But even as a solo player advocate, it might undermine the grouping dynamics at some point. I'd rather follower dungeons get a more unique gearing path, gear thats more designed to help solo players than BiS style gear.

For whatever reason, Vyranoth does not appear at the Seat of the Aspects for me so I cannot get the 3rd epilogue quest. No idea what I need to do to make her show up since I have completed the Emerald Dream campaign.
I still think it would have been cooler if Ivar and the Bloodfangs claimed Gilneas as their territory and refused to let the Gilneans return home because wolf packs don't share their territory. Remember it was the Bloodfangs who initially invaded Gilneas and brought the curse with them, so it would be a fitting way to bring the story full circle without involving Sylvanas loyalist faction or something like that.
I've done everything in the dream, i've done the raid quest. Took 2 days but finally found the first epilogue quest at the raid entrance on at the seat so i've done part 1 & 2, but i cannot freaking find the Vyranoth one. She is not at the seat, she's no where. any clue what to do?
With dragonriding enabled everywhere now, I really want to request through all the zones. But 1 shotting every mob at level 70 is boring. Is there a way to make it scale up to me? or me down to it? Perhaps leveling to 60 and turning exp off is best? or would simply using extremely low level gear work?
Flying is not everywhere possibel. Nazjatar, argus and the maw are still non fly zones. Azurmyth island and quel thalas are alsow still not flyabel yet
I have a question, i tried to use the dragonriding mount in the old zones but its fly style was static, like the usual mounts. Do you know if there is a specific level to get the skills to use on the old world or its just for max level toons?

Good content rhythm but lore leaves a lot to desire. The new night elf place is too basic to be a capital. Other than that this expansion has been enjoyable.
They seem to have buffed the XP on live. I was getting 560 xp per mob in Academy. No end reward as you would get in random que but 347 mobs to go from 60 to 61 isnt too bad if you really dont want to quest. Also got 1600 for the boss kill and 7.8k from opening a chest so it could be viable alternative.

Just like how they eventually allowed dragonriding everywhere, they will probably also make follower dungeons applied to all dungeons eventually.

Been playing since TBC, and this period in WoW is the best time I've had since Wrath. Blizz has been making some really good additions to the game.
Follower dungeon also very useful for Alchemist access to the Altar of Decay without the need to get a group :)

Those followers dungeons are not just great for everything listed in the video but also Damn good for Configuring one's user interface "Ui"/Addons.

They're literally adding it for all mounts next expansion, calm down
I still use my normal mounts for short distances and exploring. Dynamic mounts are very fast but I like taking my time and sightseeing sometimes too.

In the future, being able to do LFR with followers would be great, too, to avoid the long queues, loot drama, and toxicity. I know that Delves are coming in the next expansion but have a feeling that devs will still put all the best rewards behind raiding.

Follower raids should not have gear rewards. You only have to do a tiny fraction of the work, unlike delves. Plus, if they did that real player LFR queue would be like a day long 😂
As with some others, hard disagree. The point of LFR is to see the fights in their most basic form, NOT for gear. You can craft higher gear, get higher gear from the event stuffs and so on. A good idea if you are tired of waiting for ques is to play a role in more demand like tank or heals.

Yes! AI dungeons perfect for me to practice being a tank. I have wanted to tank since BC but never had time or confidence to learn the dungeons or spec. Really happy to see this
I was so looking forward to the solo dungeons, I am the not so confident player! I am what I like to call a 'titivator', going into dungeons etc was only ok to play when my daughter and son-in-law were playing, unless it is old content for mounts, pets and transmog. So If you don't mind I am off to Azeroth for some fun and mayhem. 😉

@@zekonja90 while usually I would agree with you, they already have the model in multiple places. Wouldn’t be that hard to scale the already existing stagecoaches down a bit. We have them in Gil and Rivendreth.
I started the artifact things and so far found it utterly frustrating. I and many others were confused as to how the water/fire/pile of dirt thing worked and how many times we failed, making it take forever. I"m sure it will be fine once we are used to it, but there was a lot of grumping in the chats. Found all the cosmetics in the new zone except the bow. Did the Gilneas story and finishing up the Belemeth stuff now. Gonna give the Outland Cup a go soon (tomorrow). I'm happy for the follower dungeons but I kinda wish it scaled a bit to ilvl to make it more of a challenge. I took my bear in there because she still had the quest for one of them. I pulled huge groups cause I can but the followers were standing in everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, so eventually I had to slow down. I couldn't brez them which I thought was weird.

I really hope they will increase the level of difficulty for solo dungeons at mythic and pref unlimited key cap so you can not only level yourselve but master your class on your own so you can try out a lot of things without taking others in consideration. For me it would be awsome to try tanking and healing on higher keys so you can control them after a while and get into keys with friends and knowing what to do. I do keys myselve as well 23 timed sofar(not really high but going to aim 25 soon) and that is fun to do but is limited now only for 2 chars atm.
If they allowed Mythic or Mythic+ for follower dungeons, then they’d have to make the loot table inferior to ones that require other people so that you’re still incentivized to play with other people.

About flying, at this point we'd really appreciate flying order zones like Silvermoon, Exodar. We've seen older parts of the world re-worked, why not this.

Tanking a follower was the best dungeon I’ve ever tanked.
The issue with being able to use dragonriding mounts where you couldn't before even if you can't dragon ride. Is now random favorite ONLY picks dragonriding mounts in zones where you can't dragonride 😥

I found a questline last night that sent me to Argus too, the quests for it are presented with the campaign-style exclamation point style highlights, but in pink. But I just came back a couple weeks ago, so maybe this was part of the previous patch?

If you’re referring to those diamond shaped icons when he summons that fancy looking gryphon, I believe those are referred to as Vigor. All dragon riding mounts use them but the gryphon mount’s are diamond shaped while the others are oval.
It would be nice for the follower system to apply to higher difficulties. But even as a solo player advocate, it might undermine the grouping dynamics at some point. I'd rather follower dungeons get a more unique gearing path, gear thats more designed to help solo players than BiS style gear.

Do people not know you can add the "favorite" mount to your bar and it automatically selects the appropriate type of mount for the content your doing?

Follower dungeons only appear to be available starting at level 60, so leveling alts using this tool isn't available as far as I could tell.
I only wish dragonriding was account bound instead of character bound. Still having to wait till an alt can do Dragonflight to use dragonriding is a little disappointing

For whatever reason, Vyranoth does not appear at the Seat of the Aspects for me so I cannot get the 3rd epilogue quest. No idea what I need to do to make her show up since I have completed the Emerald Dream campaign.

I think that feature/system change will be part of the war within expansion or pre patch.
I still think it would have been cooler if Ivar and the Bloodfangs claimed Gilneas as their territory and refused to let the Gilneans return home because wolf packs don't share their territory. Remember it was the Bloodfangs who initially invaded Gilneas and brought the curse with them, so it would be a fitting way to bring the story full circle without involving Sylvanas loyalist faction or something like that.
Keep in mind you need pathfinder one for dragonriding in BFA
I've done everything in the dream, i've done the raid quest. Took 2 days but finally found the first epilogue quest at the raid entrance on at the seat so i've done part 1 & 2, but i cannot freaking find the Vyranoth one. She is not at the seat, she's no where. any clue what to do?
I was able to find only 11 night elves mogs...not 12...maybe I need to go back.
With dragonriding enabled everywhere now, I really want to request through all the zones.
But 1 shotting every mob at level 70 is boring. Is there a way to make it scale up to me? or me down to it?
Perhaps leveling to 60 and turning exp off is best? or would simply using extremely low level gear work?

Flying is not everywhere possibel. Nazjatar, argus and the maw are still non fly zones. Azurmyth island and quel thalas are alsow still not flyabel yet

I have a question, i tried to use the dragonriding mount in the old zones but its fly style was static, like the usual mounts. Do you know if there is a specific level to get the skills to use on the old world or its just for max level toons?
I'd guess 60 at the earliest but it might just be max only.

Good content rhythm but lore leaves a lot to desire. The new night elf place is too basic to be a capital. Other than that this expansion has been enjoyable.

The xp is miniscule, as little as 70 xp per mob, so based on my testing on PTR it is not a viable leveling option.
you mean on end content? why would you be leveling at lvl 70..

They seem to have buffed the XP on live. I was getting 560 xp per mob in Academy. No end reward as you would get in random que but 347 mobs to go from 60 to 61 isnt too bad if you really dont want to quest. Also got 1600 for the boss kill and 7.8k from opening a chest so it could be viable alternative.
