Don't care if I don't do a single follower dungeon, it's an incredibly amazing feature for new players and we sure need way more of those.
Yep and from next expansion prepatch dragonflight dungeons will be from level 10 so even better for new players.
It's going to make leveling lowbie alts so much easier
I'd love to see this feature incorporated with past expansions, so that garrison, Order Hall, War Table, and Covenant followers fill in the slots in dungeon runs from previous expansions.
they 100% need to get it working for timewalking, those dungeons are easy enough for AI and it would make leveling so much nicer for us DPS

Another plus for the Follower Dungeons for me is clearing out the quests from my log and off my map. It annoys me when I have quests still sitting in my logs and having to either hope I get the dungeon I need for that quest when I que or waiting till I'm high enough level later to run the dungeon on my own. Having a clean log and map as soon as I get the quest is going to be so nice.

If you're DPS ir can take up to an hour for a specific dungeon to pop. With the follower dungeon it's instant. @felixavenier9659
Scaling the event progress based on how many players are actively doing it should've been standard for all events requiring group participation.
All about follower dungeons for me. I haven’t grouped since 2012 because of the horrible experiences I have had. Certainly never tried tank or heal. The abuse I know I would get for practicing those in a pug makes that out of the question. Now I can practice with AI. I might even be brave enough to group properly at some point in the future.
The follower Dungeons, could be a good step to Practice Tanking and Healing without getting berated by the rest of the party. I know it cant be as good as the real thing, but if you're new or a returning player even, you can practice those roles in safety to your hearts content.
I hope they have a random chance to have that one toxic NPC group member that just doesn't do anything, stands in the fire and blames you for all the problems in the world.. you know, so people get the real experience.

The follower NPCs were interesting. The AI of the tank is actually very good. It will do baby steps etc, side strafe to avoid objects etc. I was very impressed by the follower dungeons.
Just did the reclaiming Gilneas quest-line and god damn that was underwhelming, was really looking forward to it. Takes literally 15mins

Gilneas is not a major feature... it turned out to be a 15min questline in the same areas (i.e. not reworked) as cataclysm.
It’s easy for high level players to forget that they are a minority. Most players don’t chat on Battlenet forums, don’t scan through WoW sub Reddit and an amazing 70% have never completed a single raid. That includes a lot of players with five years or more of sub time.
But in these bubbles on the forums the veteran players live in a bubble where they believe their experience of the game, their wants and needs are almost universal. Where, at the very least they represent the majority view (because no other views are represented on these forums and Reddits, because casuals..by far the majority…tend never to go to these places and express alternate view points)
So when casuals who have never grouped or only tried once or twice and gave up due to the toxic experience say they want follower dungeons. Then that’s what the majority might want.
You can hop off back to your vet forums and see thousand who agree with your vet pov, and be part of what seems like a majority that agree that these casuals haven’t got a clue and revel in the warm feeling that everyone agrees with you.
But your living in a bubble.
As a vet player. Even someone who has completed,one single raid EVER.
You are the minority.
Your view represents fewer than one in three players. And we all pay our fifteen bucks a month. Which Blizzard are hungry for. Blizzard know our stats. They know the games meta data. How people play.
Whelp, like most male characters in WoW who are either dead or shuffle off with emotional damage they cannot overcome; Tess becomes queen. Next up, Turalyon will go Light Ape-nuts and Talia will take his place. :)

I was disappointed to see what they did with Gilnas. It was too short for my liking.
I would rather side with the Scarlet Crusade than the Forsaken
the Reclaiming Gilneas questline was just AWFUL, it was a poorly written 10 minute quest to sideline Glen
He has been a sideline character since he was introduced.
Reclaiming Gilneas was bad. Flat out, lazy and lame.
Taking back Gilneas with the same Forsaken that did all that bad stuff and are even know helping to take back the city with more plague was certainly a big brained decision. Glad they paid someone to come up with such poetry that only a true genius like George Lucas would appreciate

You brought up FF when talking about the new follower dungeons, and I totally agree that it's super nice not to be rushed doing content at your own pace. But tbh the environment of FF is totally different. They don't get mad at new players watching cutscenes over there if you choose to watch them.
If you try that in wow your party will already be fighting the boss by the time you finish watching.
If they do follower dungeon mechanism for raid either, that would be awesome.

So after years of waiting for Gen to finally get his kingdom back, he imediately forgives the forsaken? Then hand passes it off to his heir??? bro i don't get it at all. Was kinda hoping we'd get a bad ass seige on the forsaken (OR EVEN THE SCARLET CRUSADE) in Gilneas City and finally get a Genn redemption for all his moping around doing bugger all. but no he gets pushed into accepting the aid of the faction that Killed his only son, butchered and used chemical weapons on his people, taking everything from him. then retiring. god damn this is sad :(
Have issues with my hand and they are incredible stiff and hard to click around a keyboard. Solo dungeons are nice so im not slowing anyone down.
I hope Gilneas isn't the Forsaken turning it over.....There's too much power of friendship going on lately, I need the War back in Warcraft

Finished it, not as bad as I had feared....actually does make sense; but, still disappointing.
That stuff happening was painfully teased and the fact that they’re still trying to force Calia as this Svylanas replacement “but oh so sweet and not evil or mean” is just pathetic.

😮as a purely solo player who hasn't completed a single dungeon quest since I started playing dragonflight this is amazing
There is SO much for me to do in wow. If I play my alts, almost TOO much. As I don't raid any more I like the transmog/mount stuff and rep grinds but I know not everyone loves that stuff. Looking forward to getting some of my alts into follower dungeons just to finish quests I cba to queue for.

Why would you ever want to replay the content. You've already experienced it.
They need to consolidate resourses and tokens for all old content so as to not be so timegated and makes it simpler for new players also.

So.... no catchup for crafting? The slow skilling/levelling was a major reason (not the only one, though) for why I quit playing.
I am going FERAL for the archeology feature. I need that transmog more than I need air. I'm also VERY into follower dungeons, especially for learning how to tank (and maybe even heal). Can't wait for tomorrow!

I think they need to revamp the speed on ground mounts now.
They are it was mentioned in a previous video that the old mounts will be getting a massive speed buff as well as some of them dragon flying
There was some sort of data mined dynamic ground mount thing that I heard about recently. Definitely want focus on ground mount since they’re basically useless right now.

I'm hoping there are Gilnean stuff we can steal too. I'm liking the fact that the horde can go to Bel and I hope that keeps happening. Rather than get rid of the big two it would also be cool to see races change sides, which always seems to happens with the elves.
The Elves should all just be neutral with each other. Also the Tauren & Worgen should be their main friends with perhaps the Draenei too.
Would be nice if exp wasn't nerfed into oblivion in follower dungeons

Completely different thing. DH wings use Fel energy that they need to use in controlled short burts or they risk dying. Its the reason they can only stay in metamorphosis for a short while. Having wings out for an extended period of time and just dumping out fel energy is not lore friendly.

They really should make glineas alliance only (coming from a horde player) it would support the idea the game is still somewhat pvp, this all being if the city will actually be a city and not some dungeon or quest area to be forgotten
The point they keep trying to drive home is that the world is changing. There's still plenty of war to be had, but the Horde vs Alliance faction war just seems silly after they've had to work together so often to fight off cosmic threats.

Hi I noticed when your on the nether wing mount that your camera angle seems okay but for some reason when I get on that mount or proto drake mount my camera like pushes the Mount down so it’s hidden behind my action bars anyone know how to fix this thanks

soo... Druids get dynamic flight added to their flight form but Dracthyr don't get a static flight mode added to their soar? Frustrating,.. Empowered soar is a very big W though.
I thought the Gilneas quest line was pretty anti-climactic. I was hoping for a bit more frenzied rage from the worgen.

6:10 - Is the follower dungeon for leveling or farming some mogs? Unlikely. I tried to do one on my alt who has 98% experience till the next level. After finishing the dungeon, the experience didn't rise one bit. And when it comes to the mogs... is it just me, or no items drop in this mode? I did two follower dungeons, and they combined dropped one blue item which was worse than I had, and not even anything to mog. Maybe it was bad luck. Still, very low drop rates, and NO experience.

I'm not sure why 40-year-old men now really want cosmetics and toys? For me, when I played, it was about armor and swords. This seems to be a game for 12-year-old girls now.
The Gilneas takeback wasn't enough. It had some tugs at the ol' heartstrings, but it didn't feel like I actually helped or did anything impactful, and as such it wasn't real closure. The epilogue was meh. And inexplicably, they somehow managed to make archaeology -- a feature I'd been awaiting the return of for YEARS -- worse. I'm not sure how they could possibly make it worse, but they found a way. I was so excited for this patch and it was such a damn letdown.
How did they make archaeology worse when they haven't even reintroduced it yet?
FYIO, Gilnaes questline nets you a new mount, transmog and toy.
What toy? I finished the questline. Got the mount and the transmog set but no toy.
it was on a gravestone by Greymane at the end of the quest. It said only Worget can use it so maybe only Worgen can see it?@@kornfreak78

Follower dungeons may be good for learning the game, for me, max ilvl character it was worthless, tried it once, ran ahead of them and killed everything they didnt even attack nothing, great dig is meh, atleast can work towards mount, druid city is worthless for me as a horde and gilneass was short questline, so this is 30 mins patch, what else is there, oh atleast world dragonriding rocks , can farm mounts 10x fastwr

On top of that, if you play a spec with S3 bonus and S3 tier set won in voting, you can enjoy it for almost a year, playing the same rotation same gear. Genius design. See you in TWW beta... oh wait its locked behind $90, nvm.
i as a tank cant wait for the follower dungeons, not because i need the loot or can not go 20+ but because its a way to just run a dungeon in a group without the fear of toxic party members. i cant wait to tank a whole dungeon with a team that does not comlain about speed, what is pulled or wich direction i walk. so basicly like back in the days when lfr was not a thing and people played together^^

maybe, maybe the old days are also other friends and thoughts we had that made the game different but i remember going into the blackrock dungeon for hours having fun, traveling to zul farak and play that dungeon slow and full of fun or go to the sunken tempel and fighting the way through that maze, going in the bonus arena. all took more tie, was slower and more fun. Something you cant rly do today since everyone wants to complete everything superfast because noone has time

i sure will do,i am one of those tanks, that gets high gear in m+ and then makes lfr normal and hero dungeons, so lower player can profit out of a OP tank. so yes i will have my fun in Hero, in normal, shit i even have fun doing the Orgrimmar dungeon thats lvl 14 XD you dont ?
