Didn’t know this existed!!! Spiderwoman I need more from this production!!! Well done and this was a much needed lift in my day - you are the best Spiderwoman - thank you as always!
Thank you Aurora 😊 Another wonderful treasure. I don't think the overly glossy commercial productions of recent match the wonderful Broadway shows I saw in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's...your wonderful collection is a reminder of the shows I've see and how wonderful they were. Great memories. I saw Sunset Blvd. On Broadway with Betty Buckley, who I thought sang the score better than any of the Norma's, and the revival with Glan Close, who was okay.
Not going to lie - i've been coming back to your profile every couple of days in the hope you may treat us with a clip or two of Debra! This production changed my life as a wee lad and it's so incredible to see this! Thank you so much for sharing!
There was an hour-long TV special on The Making of Sunset Blvd in Australia. I had it on VHS thanks to a friend who lived there. I can’t believe I never got it transferred to DVD.
The scene where Joe saves Betty Schaeffer, but takes the opportunity to take revenge for all the things she did and said to him! And with Hugh! A dream come true.
I know, right? The shoulder pads are something else. He is not how I perceive Joe. No shade intended, Jackman is the real deal. I like Kevin Anderson's darker delivery of Joe.
Wow! Never seen this before. And uploaded the very same day "The music man" has its premiere! Awesome! Thanks a lot! (I don't want to sound greedy, but... do you have more recordings of this musical?)
I've always wanted to like Jackman's voice, but aside from The Boy from Oz, it just grates on me. The hardest to listen to was his Soliloquy in Les Miserables.

Thanks so much for posting… Amazing to have confirmation that a video exists of Melbourne… would love to see the entire thing one day 🤞
Thank you so much, you provide some moments of magic.
Nice of you to say--glad you enjoyed.

Hugh is Magnificent. He must be Fabulous in The
Music Man.
He's doing more talk-singing than other actors in the role. I'm used to hearing different phrasing. Loved him in "Boy From Oz."
Also- the tempo seems to be faster than usual.

Watched this ahow twice and also when he played as Gaston in Beauty & The Beast
Aurora, you are amazing! What a terrific find! Thanks so much for uploading this.

It’s on YT - saw it a few months ago.
This WINS the internet for the rest of the year!!! PLEASE tell us Aurora, is there any more? Who was Norma? Debra / Maria?
Final performance, so of course Debra.
@@auroraspiderwoman5886 AMAZING!!!! If there is any chance of sharing more, especially clips of Debra, would be over the moooooon!
With a new Australian tour about to commence, ANY CHANCE we could reminisce further with some footage of Debra's footage???? @@auroraspiderwoman5886
Thanks so much for posting! I love this musical... Is there a full version of this performance 😢😢?
Great find! I'm not sure I agree with the yell-sing method he's employing, but you can't deny he has passion in those lungs!

And what a massive shame it cut just on Debra Byrne's entrance. There must be more. OH to see the whole thing!
I never knew footage existed from the Melbourne production!!! Pleeeeease please please say you have more!
Love the Jackman ❤️ His singing has gotten better over the years but he is great here too.
Now, there are some shoulder pads if I've ever seen any.

WOW This takes me back!!! Any chance there are more clips/ full show????
He is the perfect Joe
Is there any chance we might see some more highlights from the Aussie cast?

I get what you mean. Maybe it’s because in Boy From Oz he didn’t have to change his accent.
Plus his awareness of the audience is distracting. He seems more aware of them. than what he is doing as a character. And yes, his voice is grating...
I thought his soliloquy in Les Mis was incREDible!!
Totally agree with you! His “Bring Him Home” was ear piercing and not pleasant to listen to at all.
He's a very complete artist! Not just a pretty face!
Brilliant! Who knew?
