Plum should be something in between brown, red and violet. Her hair color after is kinda like deep magenta? Idk but it looks super gorgeous! It makes me wanna have the same color as well!
It is a warm purple(purple+red), not too bright or too dark..I would say level 6 or level 5, not sure.. Magenta is red+pink and it is very bright, those are usually level 7-8, maybe even level 9, not sure. I think this warm purple goes great with her eyes and her skin
Yeah it was warm purple, meaning red is dominant. Plum is purple where blue is more dominant. Plums as fruit can have shades from blue, dark blue, purple blue and warm purple(this one) . Always have a picture what shade and color you want. The best way to avoid this. If she wants she can buy crazy colors and mix purple and a little of blue(not too much, depending on what purple you get) and she will fix it, easy. But it should have been done in salon, at least her hair looks healthy with volume and it does look good on her.

I had pictures from the lightest and brightest I can take to the darkest , they were all the same color and undertone, just different level, that was from level 5 to level 7. And how I want it too look indoors and in the natural light, I really did my reserch..it took me 8-9 months to decide to go red and what kind of red XD
it’s because because she had virgin hair! it’s capable of being lifted without bleach with permanent color but after that she’s going to need bleach to lighten it :)

Reds are super easy to get on virgin hair but a huge pain getting rid of. Wish the stylist would have added some highlights and low lights in it to give some definition
I know they don’t show the consultation but first thing I’d do is take out google and say “what does the color ‘plum’ look like to YOU?” And in a situation like this I would recommend direct dyes “Oh this is not what I was expecting” (To be 100 though the rich red looks hot on her. Makes her skin and eyes pop. Looks like Ariel.)
@@natasha6967 personally that's why i hate going all the way to the scalp. you get such a harsh demarcation line and it's just not feasible to keep up with it. it's much less maintenance if you do a root smudge or something similar.
If you bleach your hair from dark brown to bright white it's always going to be fried and dry. You can make it look good with the right products which I guess she didn't use, but you can't really fault her for it being fried in the first place.

Came out a beautiful deep red. Plum has more blue- purple in it, which she could fix on the next visit or with a color shampoo at home. Really pretty as it is, though.
I... love.. this colour! It is definitely more a rich cranberry colour than a wine or plum but the end result is gorgeous and flatters her! I didn't even notice her eyes before and after you can't not notice them. Its gorgeous. I want that on my head. ❤

I think people just look forward to complaining about this series now. This color looked great on her! It looked red-violet to me, which is what my plums usually look like. i feel like everyone in the comments always gives the stylists hard time. yes maybe the color wasn't 100% the plum color they asked for. people need to keep in mind that sometimes salons have a specific color line that they use and often don't have the exact color that the client asks for but they'll have something similar. stylists also pick a color based on the client's request as well as their skin tone and features. for example, at the end you saw the stylist say that the color brings out her eyes more since red tones tend to bring out blue eyes a bit more. personally, i think the color is stunning on her, could be that the color is not being picked up by the camera exactly as it appears because lighting also plays a huge factor in hair color. I'm pretty sure in certain lighting her hair will appear a bit more violet and in others it'll appear more red

Actually happened to me once. I had red hair that faded into a light brown after asking for a bright purple. Weird.

And probably bc her hair's color is light brown also with fine texture, color penetrates this type of hair better than thick black hair
