Have you ever tried the Curl Maker over a leave in or cream on soaking wet hair? In my experience with the product, it works best that way and using it on hair that isn't drenching wet doesn't "activate" it if that makes sense. That way the oils seal in all of the hydration from the water and leave in into your hair while the pectin captures the curl pattern from your soaking wet hair.
You are right. It's funny you say this because I did make the recommendation, but I did not include it in this video. I left it on the editing floor. LOL!🙂 I think the Curl Maker would be good over a leave in conditioner as a sealant only. The leave in conditioner includes the ingredients i.e., BTMS to curl the hair. Most leave-ins provide the curl and the Curl Maker provides the sealant. It's just too oily for 4c hair. I find the Pectin did not curl my hair.
@@ZalinaW Lol, gotcha. Yeah, a lot of type 4 naturals will use the Almond Jai Twisting Butter as their leave in and the Curl Maker on top as a sealant as you described. They also make another gel in their lavender line that's supposed to work better for kinkier textures, its more of a cream consistency and a lot thicker than Curl Maker.
Well, actually may not be a good combo, because the Curl Maker has similar ingredients to these gels. So putting a gel with another gel, will be the same piled on top of the same. I believe pvp is the second ingredient in the Curl Maker. I need to watch my own video again. LOL! I think the Curl Maker will be good with a cream based product. Use the cream-based leave-in to twist the hair, then the Curl Maker as a sealant.

I think Curl maker could be paired with another gel like Ecostyler or Wetline or their Lavender which has Pvp and Carbomer.
