I don't know about this report yet....but I was feeling it for adani power since almost 7-8 months....what happened there was that it shot up in price almost 10x in short time (like 6-7 months) which made it's PE ratio to ~ 300. It was before 7-8 months. And then suddenly in next 2 quarters their PAT shot up 40x and then pe ratio came down to ~10 at the same price, making it look like undervalued. This is very fishy that an established companies profit suddenly shots up 40x within 1-2 quarter.
Till date, I am quite puzzled at how and from where did that revenue/profi came from.

There is no law stating the minimum age limit / years of experience required for the auditors...So, legally you can't question SEBI or any other institute. Its just a logical question to ask about the audit firm & its staff. How a firm with less than 15 employees can audit such a huge entity...

Ambanis and Tatas are different league. Adani got an open market for his big businesses, Ambanis made it during a time when india's economy wasn't even open. So yeah Ambanis have a lot a business experience.
Ambani entered telecom industry and all other companies couldn't compete, now they're doing this in retail market. The reliance smart bazaar or smart Point sell groceries, electronics at a lower rate than other kirana stores and online grocery stores. They gonna takeover retail area in 2 years.
While some practices of adani look shady and questionable, the ambanis have a very clean image.

Just a small question, Why was ICICI bank, hdfc bank, pnb banks fell on 27th Jan? Is it due to bank nifty going down or these banks have given some amount of loans to Adani group aswell?
Its because all the banks are interlinked due to their finances. If one bank is exposed to any problem, it will create a ripple effect to other banks also
ICICI and Axis Bank came up with a statement that their loans to Adani are backed by high cash flow businesses, Pvt banks have an overall 8% exposure while PSU banks have 30% exposure, things are going to be bad in banking until exposure of each bank to Adani is made clear.
That is because Adani promoters have pledged their some holdings to banks and due to domino effect banks shares fell.. this is very serious issue and if Adani fails to answer all 88 questions properly imposed by Heindenberg then it must cause markets to nosedive and put halt to india’s growth for years.
I think lower circuit in Adani stocks should continue.
Adani was playing the valuation game like Paytm , Nykaa. The difference being PSU bank funded growth with support of govt instead of VC fund. Any type of unfair practice should be exposed, this is reality of capitalism..

It's not a surprise that companies in commodity business requires debt and leverage assets hoping for cash flows. What's interesting is money going out and coming back from few FPIs also the auditors point of inexperience and large psu only exposure including lic. It's no wonder that stock has gone down. Hidden berg accuracy as been more than 80% in indetifiying issues at least in global markets. Let's hope Indian markets fathom and move on any toxicity if any here.

Yes right that many things are in public domain about irregularities in Adani. But I don't think any Indian agency or media outlet has condensed all that info and provided a detailed picture about Adani. Infact stock has been a darling of retail investors for past 3 years. That's why this report is significant as it has clearly connected all dots using information available and public and their own forensic investigation. I strongly belive that government in this case must not try to bail out this company or its owner and let things take their own course of action. That will be best thing for Indian stock market in long run.

I invest only in shares where the PE ratio is around 20. Adani stocks were never nearer to it.

2. Dividend giving company
3. Debt ratio should be less 1

I will just give one example.
In 2021, I bought one stock 'Kilpest' at 290rs, because it got gowth in profit by huge margin.
It reaches 700rs in just 3 months,
Next quarter, results were down,
So I decided to sell, it got sold around 640rs. I am not emotionally attached to it. Even if it cross 1000 tomorrow. I don't care as it is not fitting in my parameters.
If adani comes to pe 20 you will not invest because it will be near it's end

Hindenbug went short on the adani group via non indian traded instruments, which gives them an edge over similar short sell on reliance group back in 90s. So this is a different scenario and doesn't come with compulsory physical delevery obligations. Its do or die for adani group

There is no great thing about what Hindenburg is saying. Almost all companies are doing such tactics. Hindenburg khud doodh k dhule nahi hai.

Simple question sir, how SEBI approved the 20,000 crores FPO to Adani which is trading above 400PE multiple times.
Because of stupid SEBI, Nyka, Paytm, Zomoto, Adani these kind of companies looting the money from the market. It's a simple comensense how SEBI is allowing 1000+PE multiple IPOs.
Indian Stock market should be trustful and above 80% indian population should invest in good companies and make the India big.

age of auditors is low and lead by experienced however such a big firm having so low count is fishy also Hindenburg also has low employee count and released this report. In my opinion comparing auditors and count is not valid. Shell companies almost every listed stock has it I think Adani knows this time will come have to see how he will come out of it.
markets were overvalued and needed correction so this news is a good one. I will look out for budget and do stock shopping

I have studied not all but few pages of report published by Hindenburg Research, if taken seriously its really scary as per market is concern, just hoping Adani Group Gives appropriate reply or else market will correct no doubt about this, hope Indian Government Needs to interfere towards the investigation and to think about the common man
