Absolutely love watching your vids. As someone who suffers from horrendous anxiety and depression, seeing you upload always cheers me up. You’re probably not much older than me ( I’m 34) but your voice reminds me of my mum! Not much makes me happy, but you do. Just wanted to let you know that. Greetings from Glasgow! ❤️

Excellent......a slow cooker recipe that doesnt require tinned soup or onion soup mix!!! ❤❤❤😋😋😋

Was thinking the same thing, kind of not the point when adding a tin of soup to a homemade soup 😊

@TheRenaissanceman65 my point exactly. If you need ready made soup or soup mix to make your soup taste like soup you need to stop trying to make soup. What you're making will end up as chemical warfare!!!😳😳😳

Now that looks simple and tasty. My mom would try to make turkey and rice soup from the leftover holiday turkey, but it usually turned out more like a bog instead. It became a tradition. She always added too much rice so it was thick. I sure do miss her cooking.

This recipe is delicious simplicity at its best! So easy to make, especially since many of the ingredients are pantry staples. And what is better than coming home on a cold day to a lovely bowl of homemade soup for dinner? ETA: I broke out crock pot #2 to make this but I'll use Turkey stock and left over meat from last weeks Thanksgiving bird (crock pot #1 is cooking up chili)

I made your Poorman's Stew a couple days ago, and it was so good. I don't have a Crock-Pot, so I just made it on the stove. I think I'll try this recipe next...with a couple changes (I'll cook the rice and saute the onions before adding them to the soup)...and it should do fine cooked on the stove as well. 😃

Unfortunately, my slow cooker stopped working a couple months ago, and I can't afford to replace it. I also haven't told anyone who might think I expect one as a gift during the holidays, so you are the second (and so on) to know about it. My son was first, but he's not the sort of person to feel obligated for gifts, he only gives them by choice. Which is as it should be, never by obligation.
