Montez Ford reminds so much of Booker T and by that I mean, WCW waited way too long to finally start to push him. WWE don't have to have Ford win the title tomorrow but at least have him challenge a mid-card title holder.
The fact he still hasn’t had a singles run is insane. Elimination chamber last year was the perfect time to start pushing him. At least as a mid carder.
What WCW did you watch? Booker was pushed, always was a prominent guy on the show, he just wasn’t a world champion before nobody cared. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t pushed.

I think Ford needs a new finisher, but outside of that the guy looks like a champion and his matches are crazy.
He has the best frog splash in the business rn and hell possibly ever, Maybe another devastating looking move to actually put people away should be added I agree with that but the frog splash is perfect. One plus if he’s a heel I definitely agree the frog splash isn’t a finisher that should be utilized by a bad guy.

As a Chinese wrestler, I had 3 WWE tryouts prior to 2010.
At least black wrestlers get representation and opportunities. Lashley, Bianca, Jade, Naomi, etc. Same for AEW, where they're all champions.
We don't even have Xia Li anymore.
But at least Jey Uso still uses the move I made in 1998. Search Gen wo neckbreaker.

@@enigmatic13465 Thanks man. I tried to get into the business years ago. (I have a distinct look being Chinese, Japanese and Hawaiian) UPW (Cena was the Prototype there. Samoa Joe was there too) accepted me but the 9-11 tragedy stopped the move in 2001. Had a match with Yuji Nagata and another with Dragon Gate. Did a Chikara event with Generico/Sami, Fire Ant/Orange, Eddie Kingston, Brodie Lee and others. Teddy Hart moonsaulted on my head. Almost had a match with AJ Styles. My FCW tryout was with AJ Lee and Adam Rose. I had a smackdown tryout where I helped a run in with Matt Hardy and I even got to be an Undertaker Druid on RAW.
It was a short run but my regrets are not getting to meet and learn from all of the wrestlers from that time. I help out first responders now.
The Booker T/Triple H angle before wrestlemania told me ALL i needed to know with how WWE does black wrestlers. Booker was way too talented to be dismissed. Him and Austin's angle is comedic gold even till this day. They tried the King Booker comedy angle and Booker still made it his own. Montez has to rise above how they treat black wrestlers somehow because talent and skills are not enough unless you are Samoan or Caucasion. Remember we are only 13% of the population. Montez ain't gonna cry about it...neither will we.

Respectfully disagree. The roster is mega stacked and Ford I believe is still in his early 30s so he has plenty of time. Cody, Damien Preist and Drew Mcintyre are just now hitting their strides and theyre older.
Bianca Belair came in and pretty much recieved a 2002 Lesnar push and headlined mania. Jade Cargil on and off screen was treated like Lebron when he signed to the Heat. Bobby Lashley was always booked like a superstar during his first and second stints. If you watched wwe in the RA era, you can tell they were doing everything they could with Shelton Benjamin. They tried everything they could with Ahmed Johnson and Omos. Big E and Kofi Kingston are former world champs.Carmelo Hayes is being highlighted currently. Trick Williams and Oba are being booked exceptionally well in NXT. And The Rock.........nevermind

The one problem that I see with HHHs booking. He’s too married to the long term storyline. He’ll want to finish and doesn’t want to do the old “this guy is more over currently”. LA Knight came out of nowhere last year but it took till this year to give him a belt. Why? HHH had other stories going on

And I understand that there are Samoans who live among Błack people in certain places like the Bay Area in California, which the Usos & others are from, however there is a huge difference between the way Samoan wrestlers acted and spoke in the past and how they are being portrayed now, specifically in reference to how the Usos acted, dressed, and spoke earlier in their careers versus how they are portrayed now. They have been “urbanized” to the point that The Usos cut that in-ring promo in which the Usos told the Street Profits face-to-face that Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins spoke, act, and even dressed like themselves, when it’s actually the Usos who are now acting, dressing, and talking like Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. Long story short, there is little to no reason to push Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Bobby Lashley, and other Błack wrestlers when you can just script the Samoan wrestlers to cosplay urban Błack wrestlers. I wouldn’t be surprised if this comment was censored or completely removed because it isn’t politically correct to say.

Montez Ford should go back to NXT and get used to being a singles guy with his matches and promos. Reminds me of a young HBK. Has the "it" factor and draw power. Angelo Dawkins seems rock solid with basic wrestling fundamentals and could relate to and train new recruits at the Performance Centre. His look and presence out there is as basic as it comes. Obviously well liked backstage and WWE wants him around in some way.

He's not pushed because black men aren’t pushed. We are only good for dancing. WWE loves minstrel shows. That's why fans love R Truth. Bobby Lashley is the only black man who was pushed without conforming to a stereotype. We are only good for clowning around and being laughed at as fools. The bloodline sortyline is the reason Montez is not the tag team champions with Dawkins and why Tez is not a singles star. Plus having guys like LA knight and Carmelo Hayes on the card taking upper mid card face and heel spot isn’t helping either. If the street profits was on the Raw roster away from those guys. They would stand a better chance. But because they don’t fit into the bloodline storyline fully other than to win the tag championship off of the bloodline next year. I don’t see the profits splitting off from each other and going solo. And I don’t see a solo run for tez anytime soon until after LA night looses as U.S. champion. It doesn’t fit into wwe long term agenda to have the street profits as solo acts. Once the bloodline storyline is finished after WM 41 then maybe we’ll see a solo run or tag titles on the street profits.
