This podcast is a fantastic deep dive into basketball in Lebanon! Roni Seikaly's journey is incredibly inspiring, showcasing his dedication, hard work, and undeniable talent. As the first Lebanese-born player to make it to the NBA, Roni paved the way for future generations and put Lebanon on the basketball map. His impact on the sport, both on and off the court, is remarkable. It's amazing to see how he helped to elevate the game in Lebanon, bringing more visibility and excitement to basketball in the region. Keep up the great work in bringing these stories to light! 🏀🇱🇧
A must watch! What a legend roni seikaly, an inspiring figure for the younger Lebanese generations. I would also love to see multiple hosts/guests like uniting jad khalil with gio on the same episode or doing an episode with veterans/coaches from the league, also Lebanese youngsters who are playing abroad to highlight them.
First time I watch this podcast. Agree with previous comments, Gab should focus more on himself and dev himself as a growing basketball player and maybe leave the podcast to be hosted by Jad Moubarak or a retired basketball player. I enjoyed listening to Rony ... a great player and storyteller. Gab wasn't able to keep up with him. He should have prepared more for this interview.
When they brought up the topic of why there isn't any lebanese that made it to the NBA i always brought up this topic is that if u had a traditional upbringing sports were obviously nothing more than a hobby. Plus in schools PE is not taken seriously and is considered as a free time. Plus in my school if you went to class sweaty you were told to stay out. I mean kids play that's what they should do. We have in lebanon a high level of obesity and in the basketball league we don't have a lot of talent. I lived in Egypt through my high school years and there sports were encouraged and this shows as egyptian teams in many sports they get to top tier competitions. Such a shame that in Lebanon if you don't study to become a doctor or engineer you are considered a failure
A podcast host is not there to tell their stories. I really couldn’t finish the episode because of how annoying this guy is. Very childish. (First and last time listener)
I think we need to hear him more in other podcasts he has a lot to tell and we have alot to learn.
Best episode till now by far
