Not sure if you’ve been paying attention to the mazi the past what… 4, 5 games but he’s been playing much better football and getting better each week. (Btw, yes Micah is a huge reason why not just mazi but the whole Dallas d line has looked better recently)
He has and I hope it continues. Nothing personal against Mazi, I was incredibly frustrated for him when the organization didn’t help out a player they selected in the first round anywhere close to the level they should have
Since Cj is in the beginning, I’m convinced CJ doing the podcast and everything he possibly could in the off-season was a terrible move for his development. He has the potential to end up a bust if he doesn’t stop imo
and Quentin Johnston is such a weird situation, cause he'll have a game where he shows the talent to be a top receiver, and then the next game will drop every pass thrown at him.
Just as an aside , Mazi has been playing good for the last few games and it normally takes defensive tackles 3 years to really see what they are as a player. With that being said as a cowboys fan we need a true run stopper
He is an outstanding WR2 on the Vikes and I think would be a WR1 on a lot of teams. He is a great player that just has to share targets with the best receiver in the NFL

Meanwhile Brock Purdy throws for 30+ and 4000 yards as Mr. Irrelevant and the very same people are calling him terrible. Young went from historically atrocious to tolerable (for a 3 game stretch). Well Purdy isn’t performing at the levels that were set for someone of his position right now. Bryce is elevating a team that was hopeless after week 4. Brock has been kinda mid. While I will never claim to be an expert on wide receivers, a part of me wonders if Johnston is self-sabotaging himself from reaching his potential. It's pretty baffling that a wideout of Johnston's size is so afraid of reaching his hands out to catch the ball. Teams favor taller receivers specifically cause the added height should give them an advantage to catch the ball, especially with longer limbs. A good receivers coach could have fixed Johnston's flawed mechanics, but as the old saying goes, "you can bring a cow to the river, but you can't make it drink". If Johnston adamantly refuses to work on his mechanics and be a better receiver, he only has himself to blame if his career in the pros is a short one.
