@@FootballAnalysis1 That was the game that his confidence became completely shot. I kinda wish we'd kept him around, maybe he develops late. But I guess we needed the roster spot more. Without Sainristil being a hit this year, the Forbes failure would have really hurt the team.
As a Bengals fan, Duke Tobin doesn't really have a good track record of drafting after Chase in 2021. However I do believe that Sam Hubbard is holding Murphy's development up and needs to be cut after this year.
Not sure if you’ve been paying attention to the mazi the past what… 4, 5 games but he’s been playing much better football and getting better each week. Definitely been looking more like a starting caliber DT and that’s a lot more than what everyone (myself included) has been saying about him to begin the year. I agree with everything else tho in terms of the mis management 100%. He’s damn sure been playing like a disappointment in his time in Dallas, but I think this recent uptrend in his performance continues. (Btw, yes Micah is a huge reason why not just mazi but the whole Dallas d line has looked better recently)
He has and I hope it continues. Nothing personal against Mazi, I was incredibly frustrated for him when the organization didn’t help out a player they selected in the first round anywhere close to the level they should have
Since Cj is in the beginning, I’m convinced CJ doing the podcast and everything he possibly could in the off-season was a terrible move for his development. He has the potential to end up a bust if he doesn’t stop imo
Just as an aside , Mazi has been playing good for the last few games and it normally takes defensive tackles 3 years to really see what they are as a player. With that being said as a cowboys fan we need a true run stopper
He is an outstanding WR2 on the Vikes and I think would be a WR1 on a lot of teams. He is a great player that just has to share targets with the best receiver in the NFL
and Quentin Johnston is such a weird situation, cause he'll have a game where he shows the talent to be a top receiver, and then the next game will drop every pass thrown at him.
I love that Chargers back QJ, is he great no but maybe I do wonder about his run blocking ability or for other things besides catching that make him a valuable spot in the roster. He’s made some good catches too
As someone who is a bengals fan, I can certainly say I think there is more talent on this bengals roster than is believed because they aren’t getting played. Myles Murphy may not be much better than Hubbard but he should definitely be playing over him, give him the time and reps to help him develop as a player. We are almost throwing games while playing older players on our defense when they are obviously not good. Sheldon Rankins, Geno Stone, Germaine Pratt and Sam Hubbard have all been terrible with younger players behind them who can be much better. I think it partly comes down to the money being payed to these players but that shouldn’t matter when you’re trying to win football games
Bryce Young was the #1 overall pick and people are anointing him for throwing...6 TDs on the season? Meanwhile Brock Purdy throws for 30+ and 4000 yards as Mr. Irrelevant and the very same people are calling him terrible. Young went from historically atrocious to tolerable (for a 3 game stretch). Draft bias is real.
Well Purdy isn’t performing at the levels that were set for someone of his position right now. Bryce is elevating a team that was hopeless after week 4. Brock has been kinda mid. If Bryce counties the performances he has had he could be the best QB from 2023 in two seasons. Brock already is from his class. Brock is definitely great and teams would love to have him but if he turns into the highest paid player ever and underperforms, then their is a problem
@@oscarhess1376 Admittedly, Brock has been Sub par the last few games but we got nearly a 2-season sample-size of Pro Bowl level play and it still wasn't enough. Brice gets 3 games of 200 yards and 1 TD and those same people are falling over themselves...

While I will never claim to be an expert on wide receivers, a part of me wonders if Johnston is self-sabotaging himself from reaching his potential. It's pretty baffling that a wideout of Johnston's size is so afraid of reaching his hands out to catch the ball. Teams favor taller receivers specifically cause the added height should give them an advantage to catch the ball, especially with longer limbs. A good receivers coach could have fixed Johnston's flawed mechanics, but as the old saying goes, "you can bring a cow to the river, but you can't make it drink". If Johnston adamantly refuses to work on his mechanics and be a better receiver, he only has himself to blame if his career in the pros is a short one.
That is just like a person that bought a $60,000 SUV with all the bells and whistles, but still lives in a rundown trailer park. Browns selling out to some rich bastards will still not fix the defense issues.
