For those who think she is just playing a part or selling something...I really don't think it is just about selling her brand. You can go on her site, watch free videos and I've seen where she does free live web chats. Sure, she is trying to support herself and create a successful business, so what? The point is that she is a positive voice with positive messages. She does this whole "real talk" thing that helps people get their head out of their asses to reach their true potential. If you are willing to do the self work, that is. :) I like her.

I've been off heroine for ten years. It was tough coming off my script because I went cold turkey when I was on 8mg of Subutex and boy did I suffer. I was determined tho and that experience has taught me that I can do anything that I commit to.

Many of the derogatory commenters here seem to be missing the point. It isn't about questioning the person delivering the message, but questioning the message itself. Is there something of use to you? How can tearing down another person help you? And why are you watching this anyway if you aren't willing to hear new ideas?

This is one of the better speeches I have heard in a long time. Then disappointed to see the comments where people seem to be so offended by anyone who is "selling" something. This talk was not even asking for anyone to buy anything. And truth be told, we are all in "sales". If we aren't promoting an idea or a service or our own worth to a prospective employer or client, we are probably recommending a product or restaurant to someone else. We all promote ideas and things we like and believe can benefit others. What is wrong with that? If we aren't doing this, what are we doing then? Living for ourselves? I am sure none of these comments really bothers Gabrielle though because she knows the only way to avoid criticism is to done nothing, and that is no way to live. We live to serve others. This is a great speech. For those who didn't like this for some reason, I challenge you to listen to it at a different time in your life when perhaps you are ready for its message. Think with love... :) Remember the four steps to becoming a miracle worker are 1) willingness/openness to make change, 2) surrender... let go of your plans, time limits, listen..., 3) practice forgiveness, 4) expect miracles.

No matter how much we day it the only we can heal the toxicity is to understand that intil heal from childhood abuse in all ways. It is the reason for we don't love ourselves. If you don't love yourself and weren't loved by our parents or caregivers we.need to learn to love ourselves because that is the thing that is missing in our lives. It's painful and not worth it l. That's wonderful. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that ACIM is talking about the mental and emotional level 99% of the time. Rarely is it talking about the physical level. In fact, it comes right out and says that the body is weak and can be destroyed.
So often I thought that ACIM was referring to my body or the physical world, and it really threw me during the lessons.
Example; lesson 1 is something like, "Nothing I see in this room means anything." Now this is true on a emotional and mental level. But it's not true on a physical level. On a physical level, the table means a lot of things. It means you have a table to eat at, a table to study at, something more to store if you move, etc. It just doesn't mean anything on a mental or emotional level. It doesn't mean you are good, bad, lucky, successful, a failure, complete, incomplete, etc. All emotional stuff.
Okay? I just don't want you stepping in front of a speeding truck while thinking, "The son of God can suffer nothing, and I am his son." because it's not talking about your body. The truck is going to cream into your body, and it's going to hurt like hell or kill you.
Alright? This goes for nearly everything ACIM is talking about. And if you doubt me, you need to reread the preface, because this is the only place where it tells you this.

***** Well, our state of mind certainly has an impact on our bodies. We certainly can worry ourselves into all kinds of medical conditions. Doctors know that stress is a leading cause of illness. My own health has improved dramatically since starting ACIM 25 years ago.
But I still look both ways before crossing the street. Don't be thinking your body is indestructible. Only your mind, heart, soul and spirit are indestructible. Don't be teasing rattlesnakes thinking you can't be harmed by anything. lol Okay?
***** No, I don't know any.It was just a subject I and some others really struggled with. Because ACIM doesn't ever remind us that it is speaking on a purely mental level. The way it reads it can easily sound like it is suggesting we don't look twice before crossing the street, and that we are giving in to fear if we do.
So.....yes.....25 years. I see myself as a bit of an expert on the subject. I went fully into it. Reading the text a dozen times and doing the lessons as well as humanly possible. I guess that's another point to bring up. Even though ACIM says the lessons are simple....they are actually impossible at times. Like when it says to repeat the idea for the day every 5 minutes throughout the day. It's just physically impossible to remember an idea every 5 minutes, unless you are maybe locked up in solitary confinement. But in normal life there are simply far too many distractions.
But it doesn't really matter.....ACIM doesn't care how well we do the lessons. ACIM only cares how hard we tried. Because ....and this is interesting......the ego only cares about results, while the spirit only cares about intentions.
You could do the lessons all wrong, and still receive excellent results from it, because it only matters if you tried to do the lessons right. And that's probably why they are impossible to perform at times, because God wants to see how dedicated you really are. And the harder you try, the more results you are going to receive. Well, that's my experience at least. Although it does say in ACIM somewhere that the ego is only results orientated and the spirit only intention orientated.
It's why we don't have to worry about what we say or what we do, as long as our heart is in the right place. As long as "I am here only to be truly helpful" is playing in our head, we are good to go, and can do no wrong.
Oh and.....Marianne Williamson's book, A Return To Love was a New York best seller at the time. I was on a Tony Robbins kick at the time and was buying books left and right. Tony had convinced me to write down a list of life goals. My list was like....1. Truth, 2. Love. 3. Peace. Well....imagine the message such a list sends out to the universe. In 3 weeks I went from being a lifelong troubled atheist to being fully absorbed into ACIM. Again, it's all about intentions. The universe will do the rest. I was hell bent on Truth, Love and Peace, and God sent them to me like a flood to cover the world.
The stories I can tell you about the last 25 years are incredible. But you really had to be there. And if you do the lessons with all your will.....you'll know what I am talking about. But do not let your inability to grasp the lessons or do them perfectly stop you. Just do your very best and don't worry about the rest. All effort will be rewarded in multiples that defy physical laws. You can take ACIM as far as you want or as little as you like. You can even go back to the beginning (I did that) and then return right to where you left off. And when I say you can take it as far as you like......I (I'm in tears now) I mean you can be a servant in things that you never dreamt possible.
Jesus is simply looking for our level of commitment. If all we give is a half effort, than all we will receive is a partial result, which is still well worth it. But if we make Truth, Peace and Love our only goals and then reach for them with all our might.....then we have given Jesus full permission to enter our lives. And the things you will see and do will absolutely blow your mind. There truly is nothing you cannot do, with God leading you. A short conversation, with a seemingly random stranger, can radically transform the world for everyone forever.

I didn't understand lesson 1 the same way you did. I got out of it that we take what we see for granted (I know what it is) and that matter is not what it looks like, since everything is interconnected. Namaste!
"A miracle is a shift in perception." That, to me, is a meaningful insight. I believe it would help for ACIM to become more mainstream, so I applaud this lovely woman for boldly sharing her story and offering her help to those who need it.

What she is suggesting is taking a helpful perspective on the role of "I" ... we do it all day everyday anyways (even when you are trying to avoid it lol)

miracles happen everyday... they are very subtle..God doesn't wave a wand over you and BOOM you can see... the miracle happens when you are at the right place, at the right time, and you are receptive to the information (the miracle) that will change your life... but you also have to take an active part in using that gift to make the miracle happen in your life...you have to do something with that information.. miracles are contingent upon your willingness to act on knowledge given..MIRACLES..!

Those of us who watched closely and found a “negative” opinion (negativity is wholly subjective) are just as entitled to share that opinion as you are. This nonsense is dangerous. Much like religion or cult. It’s sad to see a fellow addict swap one false comfort for another and it’s far too prevalent already. Yes one might say they can believe what they choose but it does harm others when attention is diverted from the serious work of curing drug dependency to this fluff.

Sri, I agree with you. To spin it the other way, all of the negative comments here are actually lovely examples of how our minds run amuck. Learning to control our negative thinking and attacking others is an extremely hard task. The work Gabrielle is talking about is de-programming the ego-mind which loves keeping itself separated from others by means of attack. You have to be really ready to do this kind of work, it is not for wimps!

Everyone bashing this needs to actually let go of the judgment towards her. The only person you are judging is yourself and reflecting yourselves. If you truly listen to Gabrielle's words, looked at the depth in her eyes and applied her words, you life would change. It cannot, however, ever change with the same mind who created it. Reading some of the comments about selling, here is my interpretation: I believe that people feel that she is selling her message. Truth doesn't need to be sold. You hear truth, and instantly, without any "selling," you know that it is so.

Gabrielle makes it all about her. Some are distorting the course in miracles I guess. I started reading, but i stop when i noticed some people are actually using it to make good money. Nothing against making good money from it, as prosperity is a God given gift..but the problem is, this people distort the message. Who is she talking to? She forgets to talk about the holy spirit. it is not "God, Source, whoever is out there" It is God and The Holy spirit. I am not saying that you must believe in it and that you have to use it, but just saying that the course in miracles is about it. And she maybe forgot that is not about her giving a message or teach something but about the work of the Holly spirit

She says that because not everyone believes in the "holy spirit", some call it the "Universe" as well as many other things. She's trying not to push ONE opinion & ONE belief onto the individuals listening. When you speak to thousands of people, it's good to not push one belief onto them. You touch individuals by supporting their beliefs, & by guiding them into shifting it into whatever they have the desire for.

A little dramatic when she claims she was physically pushed by a books energy. That's pretty bold and likely total shit....however a course in miracles is amazing. Truly transformational book, I highly recommend it if you just wanna be happier. This lady conveys it's message ok, but the book is the real gem.
How do you know she didn't feel that way? I've had unbelievable things happen to me. People don't always believe me, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. Open your mind.
If you follow the book's teachings, you wouldn't be denying anybody's experience.. What for? Is your ego saying that? ;) I met many people who had these kind of physical experiences with the book. Not me, i'm tough as a rock, but... Each person has the experiences that needs to have. (to awake)
I guess I dont "know" what she physically felt lol. I'm merely suggesting that a claim like that is illogical, unlikely, and more than likely exaggerated. My ego doesn't tell me that, however, reality does. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking the divine power of this book, as I said before, it's quite transformational. And for the lady that said all this happens to you and no one believes it...there is a reason why no one believes that. You have to understand that the placebo effect is more than just powerful....it's utterly convincing ;). So the rational part of my logical thinking mind is still gonna have to call those claims hokey, placebo driven, neurosis.
I dont understand you completely Levi Castel, but the book clearly says: You dont need to believe or agree with the ideas presented on this book, just do the lessons even if you dont feel like or like them. There's no reality to judge, I mean there's not such thing as being objective... And placebo may be, actually, part of the process, because you designed this for you, but yourself nowadays dont believe or doesnt remember how to.. And pretending and playing that something is, may be the first step to let yourself get into that experience... Whatever, just grab the book and dont judge with your normal mind, of course your normal mind will tell you its not good/real, etc.. Because all what the course pretends it's just to rock your "normal mind", put it in check mate all the time. So, of course it resists.

Correction, FEAR is a built in safety mechanism, as a result of human experience gained through survival. 'Anger' is an effect.
TRUST is a symptom of believing that there was DOUBT at one point, two choices/a single 'choice', therefore there is no 'trust', only blind faith.
We can live in this world through fear or ignorance, trust or happiness, but it all depends on the actual current state of the reality in which we live, and what you 'do' as opposed to who you 'are' as an individual.
The truth is people are too afraid to accept the 'truth', so they create their own little worlds and lies to distract them away from it, fear, doubt, denial, confusion, familiarity, etc
'Truth' can only be one thing, and that is the very definition of the word itself, the ultimate clarity, the opposite of false. It doesnt matter if its 'my' truth, your truth, or whoever's we all share this world together and ascertain to one mindset.

Neville Goddard explains this in a Biblical context! Miracles should be common place for man (wo-man) who has been created in the image and likeness of God to be as God is! It is abnormal to be in bondage to unbelief, fear, lack and limitation for mankind who has been created in God's very own image and likeness! Meta-physics was a man-made limited attempt to explain the spiritual kingdom of God and it's operation of the inner workings of the law and the promise within the hart of mankind, that as within so without! in a scientific way! One has to stop living in the fear based carnal-mind that has been conditioned by fear, lack and limitation and come into agreement with the divine-mind ware all things are (Possible = to all who believe!) and persist in the assumption of belief in the truth of the "LAW AND THE PROMISE" of God's KINGDOM within the BELIEVER! Unbelief is fear, lack and limitation, and belief is faith in the persisted assumption of receiving or having received! God has already given all (answered every prayer and has already provided all substance) it is mankind who is ignorant concerning how to receive what is already given! Forgive let go of unbelief and receive from God! There is ONLY God in the world everyone and everything is God and the believer as one pushed out! The kingdom of God is in the hart and soul of the believer (NOT ones mental-assent lip service!)
If you pretend with God he will pretend with you! If you do what God said in the born-again nature of spirit and truth he will do what he said! she knows how to talk, but the message isn't really well tranmited, "the truth" "love" "the universe" words that can mean too many thing, This very same message could be convey in so many better ways.
The negative force is Rosa Perea...you can only let negative spirits in if you ALLOW them, that is why sane and centered people pray and meditate, and place hedges around their lives and those they love, no matter what God they believe in, Buddha, Allah or, Jesus, they all have that in common. So, if you think what happened to Jesus is funny, Rosa, the joke's really on you because what you're really saying is you believe in what was written about Him and you acknowledge what happend to Him, ha....
I used to buy into all of this new age philosophy, I'd listen to the audio books, I'd watch the TH-cam videos......I believed it was the way. But thankfully God had other ideas for me and by his grace my eyes were opened. It was shocking to see how deeply deceptive these teachings are. They lead no place good, in fact when you follow new age teachings you're opening a door and extending and invitation for dark forces to enter your life. Spirt guides, higher powers......please see these things for what they are. The bible says that Satan presents himself as a sprit of light. Do not be deceived any longer, turn from these things, burn amy books you've bought and throw out any ornaments, like Buddha statues etc, that are in your home.
When You find God and I mean really find God you learn that God is for all of us. God loves us all. God is for the religious, the spiritual, the ones that do not know for sure and God is for those that believe no God exists at all. All paths lead to God and God is beyond religion.

And it seems like what you said is the way of those people who are more evolved and intelligent than anyone who thinks there's only one path to God(Jesus). It seems like anyone who'd believe that Jesus is the only way is backwards and unenlightened.......like I said, I used to believe that too. But then I read the bible and very soon all of it changed. So I would urge you to read the bible and Continue to read it, never let it depart from you.

The graphic war, hatred, and archaic rules. The way God killed a man, because he accidentally slipped while carrying the arc...that's not loving, peaceful, or uplifting.
Now reading Gabby's books, or listening to Ted Talks...that has been uplifting. Amazing. Life changing. Acceptance, love, peace.

Do we not ourselves long for the compassion of forgiveness. Those without err, throw the first stone. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Do not condemn or judge. Who is without fault? Walk in truth. It will set you free. Is not the condemning we ourselves do to others that which we fear the most? God is love. Take your shame to God. Discover how much He loves and forgives you. Surrender. Where are we to blame? What in us has caused our fall? Confess the truth that binds you and reconcile with those you have harmed. God will do for you what you cannot do for yourselves. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Trust this. Faith is a gift. Walking in your truth sets you free from everything that binds you. Good or bad. We are all with faults. Take them to God and you will shine. Invite Him in and He will make His home in you. He will do the work.
