They deserve the death penalty for what they did, in my opinion anyway. If that is not an option though, then I would say life in prison, and no parole. What they did was just messed up, very, very, sick.
@@martinwhite418 That is your opinion. I do not agree with it. My opinion is that if it is a case where it is very obvious who committed the crime, and it was a crime where the perpetrator intentionally killed the victim in a brutal, violent, sadistic way, then I feel that the death penalty is appropriate. The victim does not get to go on living, and she was only 20 years old. The criminals shouldn't get to go on living either. I am sure they won't get the death penalty though, not in this case, but they should. They'll get some extremely weak sentence and then they'll be back out by the time they're 35, free to go out and commit more crimes, and leech off society. Edit: I don't think the death penalty should be used unless it is a case where there is so much evidence that there is no question as to who committed the crime. Those guys in this video are definitely guilty. There are cases where there is more of a question about the guilt of a suspect. In a case like that I would not want them to get the death penalty either.
@Nikki C So we punish people who are "really" guilty with the death penalty, and we send people who are "probably sorta guilty" to prison for life. Sounds fair, that's not what U.S. law says, but we will just go with your version.

Yah- the return to take photos as a Momento, of a stationary vehicle that had drifted off the side of the road (obviously containing a severally injured victim at minimum) demonstrates absolute intent to cause great harm. How does that differ from a serial rapist or murderer actively seeking out a victim. It would be devastating to learn they are prosecuted for anything less then first degree murder. Unfathomable actions. How did they become monsters?!
It’s the end product of a school/home environment that tells kids they are special, better than others, gives zero consequences. It’s a massive lack of spirituality and connection to god or any sense of humanist ideals. This is pure unadulterated narcissism. Their feelings and desires come before the entire rest of humanity. It’s a basic lack of respect, and a school/home environment that never taught a single value.

Just because what they did was really bad doesn't mean it's not potentially the fault of bad parenting. Don't know what to call this but I think it's some kind of fallacy can't remember.
Yes, it's sadism, taking pleasure in the pain of others, usually a sign of a personality disorder. These psychos need to be locked up forever because this type of behaviour doesn't go away with age or the amount of time spent in prison.
Dr. Grande, this happened 12 minutes away from where I live in Arvada Colorado. I like to drive late at night and have driven many times where these incidents occurred. I felt heart broken when I heard of this happening. I’ve been scared to drive at night until recently when the young men were finally caught. Just terrifying and senseless. Thank you for covering this case and speaking about Alexa, she seemed so sweet.
I got hit in the head with a rock that was thrown through my boyfriend's truck. I luckily turned my head to look at my boyfriend while he was talking bc instead of hitting me in the temple it hit me behind my ear instead. I had glass embedded in my neck and face and scalp and my head was busted and bleeding bad. I thought I had been shot bc the sound of the rock busting through my window was so loud in the tiny cab of the truck. 😭
It's so appalling that you were put through that! 😲😪 If anything like that ever happened to me, I would be so enraged with the whole world for a very long time! 😡🤯😱 Kudos for your tolerance and resilience! 🤝🖖

If you actually believe in the nonsense then your god did, in fact, let this happen. Oh.... I hear ya "the good lord works in mysterious ways" but prayer is less than useless. Make a casserole for them or something... at least that's real and takes some minimal amount of effort. True story: one of my sons died when he was a few days shy of his 19th birthday... some god freak said this to me "Well, he's now in a much better place... there's some comfort in that." I'll admit that it wasn't my finest hour but I punched him several times in the face and body... hurt my hands quite a lot. Was arrested, detained but released about 10 - 12 hours later. No charges were followed through on.... bit of luck, that. Thank god, right? 🤣🤣🤣 Be careful what you say to people who are grieving... particularly the grief experienced by the loss of a child. It's "next level" grief.... again; not my finest hour but I don't actually regret it one bit.

My best friend was killed by a drunk driver at age 20 in 1994. Her killer didn’t receive any punishment. He was 30 years old and it wasn’t his first offense but it was a small Southern town and his family had lots of influence . I’ve carried a lot of rage about this and I’m disgusted by drunk drivers. I’ll never understand why it’s taken so lightly when it kills so many innocent people. I could have really used her friendship for the past 29 years . As a Christian I have faith I’ll see her again and her killer will eventually answer for what he did.
I’m sorry friend. It’s good that you have faith. I do to, and I don’t know how I’d deal with this world and the people in it without that faith. You two will be together in heaven, while all murderers and liars will be cast out.
We had driving awareness classes in middle school. While most was oriented towards drunk driving we were told about a case close to us where someone threw a piece of wood and killed a person in the car. We were shown images of the car as it was, bloody and with the piece of wood in it. We were also shows images of wrecked cars after drunk driving crashes. Nothing ever taught me as fast as this class. I hope all the kids in my school got “scared straight” because I just cannot fathom what makes anymore throw any object on highways.
we had a similar experience in assembly one year. Saw a photo of a teenage boy who drove while intoxicated....this was 20 years ago, and it's still burned into my memory: literally looked like someone had taken a bowling ball sized melon baller and scooped out half his head. Brutal.
This reminds me of the time when I was driving home from high school and someone threw an unopened can of Coke out of their car at my windshield. Our cars were going around 45 mph in opposite directions. The can went completely through my windshield. Fortunately it went through the center of the windshield and landed on the backseat of the minivan, where no one was sitting. What a mess. I, or my passenger, would have been seriously injured if that pop can had actually hit one of us. So dangerous. Also, the can was still full when it hit the seat, so it's not like it weighed significantly less after it went through the windshield. My mom was so pissed. First at us, thinking that we did it, and then at the asshole who did it when she realized it wasn't our fault.
You seem like someone with alot of patience and tolerance! Had it been me, I would have turned around, chased them down, and the outcome after venting my fury would have been harmful to all parties involved....
Knowingly throwing a heavy object (i.e., not a candy wrapper) out of a car at high speed should either be automatically classed as a felony, whether someone gets hurt or not, or, at the very least, your license should be revoked. Even throwing pebbles is dangerous. There was a case of a group of kids who’d throw metal ball bearings in the freeway here in Southern California back in the late 80s, which was causing all kinds of motor vehicle accidents.
My daughter was hit in the head at a school bus stop by a palm sized rock. A crazed girl decided to throw a handful of rocks in the air every time a car approached... on the first day of school, no less. One badly aimed rock came straight down on my daughter's head and caused a nasty injury. A similar incident occurred a few weeks later, when a different group of kids were throwing rocks at cars while standing on a street corner. It's funny how quickly that behavior stops when you press charges. Real quick. Cops said the kids were practically crying when they showed up. But this is what you have to do. Word gets around quickly, and kids change their behavior. But society is too concerned with feeling sorry for the perpetrators as the first reaction.
What a horrific crime. That poor young woman and her family and friends. Yes, Dr. Grande....those foolish heartless sadistic MEN should spend many MANY years in prison. If they do not get a stiff penalty then something is very very wrong.
Excellent as always. Dr Grande is the only commentator I’ve seen who has given any attention to the nature of the stone. The term “teenagers throwing rocks at cars” can give someone with just a passing glance a wholly incorrect mental image. The “rock in question”..from the one photograph with a scale that I saw..had about cubic size of a large brick but being granite considerably more weight…5 or 6 pounds. See how far YOU could throw that. So no, their vehicles passed close together, however briefly, at night, and this great beach cobble was launched specifically at the windscreen of a car going perhaps 70 miles an hour. Viewed in that way the death of the driver was clearly a realistic possibility… either being struck by the stone in the head or upper body…almost instant death…or causing the driver who was NOT struck to nevertheless lose control of the vehicle at high speed and crash, again with a realistic risk of death and almost certain risk of serious injury, including blindness from flying glass causing them to,lose control and drive into oncoming vehicles, possibly killing others. I agree with Dr GRANDE…a long prison term is called for and if the prosecutor is going to have trouble getting a “.murder” conviction then charging them with each crime separately and ordering consecutive terms in prison is the way to go. How is this different from shooting at cars with a long gun “just to scare em” and hitting the driver in the head?
Sounds so close to the way my dad died that it’s scary. Rock fell off the back of the truck and shot through his windshield. It’s so sad when shit like this happens.

I remember a case in Florida back in the 90s that involved teenagers removing a stop sign at a busy highway intersection. This ultimately lead to at least one death. I believe the teens were sentenced to 10-15 years in prison. I wish I could recall it in more detail.
Excellent points made, Dr. Grande. Just because a motor vehicle was involved should not mean that they did not commit murder. I also agree with your point about people who wittingly drive under the influence and cause death and/or injury of another. I hope justice is served in this case and the sentencing of these men is appropriate to the crime they committed.
@@david-dj8or It wasn't like she was texting and hit something avoidable in the road, she didn't hit the rock because of failing to act because of distraction, it was deliberately thrown at her windshield from a moving vehicle, hit her head and went all the way through the car, she was in the middle of talking to another person on the phone, not like she was texting. @@david-dj8or in many US states, there's what is called a "hands free" law. As long as a driver is using their mobile phone using hands-free technology, operating while moving is legal. In this case, I think it's pretty clear cut that the maliciously thrown stone caused Alexa's death.

Good evening, Dr. Grande! Unfortunately, incidents such as these are common and usually remain open and unsolved cases. Usually, they occur when people thrown rocks off of bridges over streets, expressways and thruways, and the scumbags (if caught, which is rare) claim that they didn't mean to hurt anyone. Frequently, the scumbags are children or teenagers, and, if caught, rarely do much, if any, time. At least in Rochester, New York. Fortunately, scumbags usually have cell-phones with which they share their experiences with others, which can be used for their apprehension. Yes, they wanted to cause destruction. And, if it leads to fatalities, should earn them good, several decades-long stretches in a hell-hole of a prison. Now, THAT'S entertainment! Thanks for sharing.

SPOT ON! Your connection with the Lynch Mob Syndrome (or 'diffused guilt') was well deserved. You could even connect the Standford Prison Experiment. People will do things in groups that they normally would not do by themselves. Please keep up the good work!
I actually heard a program on NPR this past winter about the Stanford Experiment. While I'm inclined to agree with you that mobs empower people to do bad things, the two men who conducted the "Stanford Experiment" were early pioneers of no jail/prisons, and defund the police back in the late 60's and early 70's. Two French researchers went through the exhausting recordings and notes, and found that the violent behavior of the "guards" was promoted and coerced in order to have violent, negative incidents which could then be in turn used as "proof" that incarceration and laws created more problems than they solved. The findings of the two French people can be found with a quick Google search.
@@peteywheatstraws4909 I've worked in a prison and always thought that experiment was contrived. I was glad when it was discredited. Although I'm sure there are sadists in every vocation, in reality, prison guards are hugely outnumbered (1 officer per housing unit of 99 inmates, usually) and can only do their job with the inmates' cooperation, which tends to encourage mutually respectful behavior from custodial staff and inmates.

@@NikkiC777 Death penalty is a really bad idea. There are too many cases with cheating law enforcement and prosecutors.

@@david-dj8or It wasn't like she was texting and hit something avoidable in the road, she didn't hit the rock because of failing to act because of distraction, it was deliberately thrown at her windshield from a moving vehicle, hit her head and went all the way through the car, she was in the middle of talking to another person on the phone, not like she was texting. @@dianebrady6784 everything is getting worse everyday.
That is awesome that they checked all cell phones in the area, and tracked movement to figure this out. Those dumb bastards probably thought there was no way to get caught.
Great police work on this case
Love the new backdrop Dr. Grande! Hardest working doctor on TH-cam.
I absolutely love the new background, Dr. Grande. Looks awesome! 🌵 Have a great evening. 😀
I love the new studio for one of the hardest working TH-camrs out there!
Fresh new set Dr. T! Lookin’ good bruv.
Loving the upgraded studio, doc! Are you backstage for your stand-up comedy routine?
I think it's just a green screen homie...I may be wrong, but...
@@bruisersdilemma354 I know, I was just joking.
You should do closing statements in prosecution courts. So spot on and straight forward facts.
I’m hoping that you’re wrong and that they don’t get leniency. You’re rarely wrong but I’m hoping that you are in this instance. May that beautiful young woman rest in peace and receive justice. She had her whole life ahead of her 😢
People are horrified and def screaming for blood in this Case.
I doubt if there will be any leniency - these were Adults (not Kids) that did this thing, and they were plenty old enough to know that throwing those heavy rocks had the potentially to seriously injure or kill.
They did this intentionally and with malice aforethought.
I wouldn't be satisfied with anything less than 50 Years in jail for these Psychos.
It's my humble opinion bullies are cowards. Picking on those unable to defend themselves
Such a sad case & infuriating. I drove that area when I lived there. Nice new background. Great analysis again. Thanks Dr G😊💝💝
Great Detective Work. Excellent Work by PD.
Wow, I heard about this but I didn’t realize so many cars were hit. It looks like these guys were not planning to stop until they killed someone.
Love the new studio Dr Grande .The blue and green lights ...👍👍
Can you do a video analysis of the drunk driver Stephanie meldoza? A police bodycam video recently came out and it shows her laughing, singing and not comprehending the seriousness of her killing 2 people when she asks the cop when she will be able to go back to school
Yes I think she was def on some sort of drugs. Even alcohol won’t insulate you from a tragedy as big as the one she caused. Or God forbid she’s just another soulless creature like this trio.
@@CC-oi9mc dude she was like 0.26. she was fucking hammered. There's no way she was on bars dude. I was addicted to them hardcore at least 2bars everyday sometimes more, bombed out of my mind for 2 years straight. At the beginning of the body cam video when the cops first get there shes talking to them, little slurred but not Xanax status.
@@Secter84 Yeah I saw the entire 30 minute thing with her. She was drunk as Hogan's goat, but I don't think she was on benzos. I used to munch on them things with my friends all the time, it's an entirely different kind of fucked up.
She was just drunk off her ass, in my opinion.
@@lindas5964 A soulless creature is a good description!!
Good case to examine. Hard to believe.
I haven't shed a tear in years, and this one got me.
Colorado will make an example of these three boys, they have no problem in handing down long sentences to teens like these.
I live in an area where bridges/overpasses/underpasses were under construction for years and given the increase in traffic (since the original format was introduced) there were 1000s of residents thrilled with shorter times to work and home. It was great. Then....some smartarses decided the chucking rocks on to traffic and busses below was a great idea. Not sure they felt quite the same thrill following 2 deaths and a bus driver so traumatised, he retired. I can no longer recall what the term was, but i do know they were older teens, and pretty sure they weren't going to somewhere they could terrorise others. Im pretty sure they were separated too. Best idea! Love your work Dr G. Sometimes you really help, not simply educate. ❤xx
These types of undirected faceless crimes stir me up. It´s connected to a feeling of helplessness and "it can happen at anytime" state. Being hit by whatever in the passing is a method to avoid responsibilty and shows extreme cowardiness and lack of impulse control when you think the target is an easy victim.
I guess this type of crime comes from people with deep devaluation of like you said human in general, an extreme behaviour that forms in people who probably feeel themselves as the victim and failure in society.
i’ve recently just got really into Dr Grande i’ve been subscribed for a few years but just now doing a deep dive on his content. i love the subtle common sense hints and small jokes and unbiased analysis that he gives thanks doc
Your analysis is amazing, agree with everything you said!!!
Oh snap ! The backgrounds looking spicy grande !!
This is really sad..😢 May that young lady RIP 🙏🏾
I’m loving the new background, Doc! Once again, great insight brother. Thanks for what you do by helping me get through my day. God Bless you and your family!
Loving the snappy ‘blinged’ up new set señor Grande 👍
LOVE this new background!
And bearhugs to you, Dr. Grande!
Love the background, very much matches YOURE vibe 😊
I found my friend with the find my phone app when he never came home after saying he was heading back around 7pm. He wouldn't answer his phone so After midnight I got worried tried to drive around to see if I could find him.. after an hour and a half it occurred to me to ping his phone with the find my phone "app" from his ipad... and it worked. the closest thing to the pings map that came up was the police station (for a moment I was afraid it meant he was dead in a ditch in a field NEAR the jailhouse,) so I called and they confirmed he was there. Got a DUI and wasn't allowed to leave unless someone sober picked him up but He was too embarrassed to call.
I can only imagine alexas friend's terror of finding her.
I hope the judge watches this video. Cause I certainly agree with your perspective.
A murder should be treated as such no matter the object that’s used to cause the death.
@@peteywheatstraws4909 So much for their peer-reviewed study.
I agree doc. 30 years sounds fitting for all of them. I mean they even took a photo afterward. That is beyond effed-up
After they're found guilty, all three should get life with no possibility of parole. This was clearly premeditated.
Your ever so subtle comedic sarcasm with that monotone gets me rollin every time lmao 😂😂😂 …. Love your stuff man 👍 keep up the great content 😆 😉
If your last name is Quack, why would you name your kid Zack?
😂
They hated him.
Rednecks.
Good question.
I'm sure that influenced some rage in him.
Excellent analysis of a horrific, disgusting series of choices made by several individuals. Their repetition of the behavior is particularly egregious. Thank you for sharing this.
This is sick. What is happening to our youth today? Rock throwing when using a six pound rock sounds like murder to me. They would not want me on their jury.
When I lived in the Bay Area people in the early 2000s were dropping cement blocks in cars from overpasses.
15 to 20 years seems like an appropriate prison sentence. They must be shown as little mercy as they showed their victims. Soft on crime people are delusional and dangerous and should be treated with contempt for protecting criminals. Dr Grande speaks sense as always. Corrupt prosecutors/judges must be removed or the system will collapse.
15 to20? Seriously? These feril animals should never walk the streets again!
On point Dr. Grande. The one thing alcohol does is lower inhibitions making it more likely your true character will show through. My heart goes out to the victims families.
Can you please add a neon sign in the shape of a cactus 🌵 to your background? I think it would make a fine addition to your collection. 💚 Keep em coming Dr. G.
The photograph taking was all I needed to know. Leave them in prison for many years ! Thank you Dr. Grande
I remember a case some teens male a d female removed stop signs from an intersection a d someone was killed by an 18 wheeler I believe. Judge gave them life in prison. They were crying during the verdict but remember thinking what did you think was going to happen Jagoffs? Someone did that in my hometown during construction and an lady crashed. They never found who did it. They probably go about their lives and like what they see in the mirror. Sad.
I thumbed this up even though I'm very sad or depressed right now. I'm glad you recommended 30 years, doc. Let's hope these retrobates get the most possible from the state.
Another Colorado video. Since you're in my neck of the woods, please do a video on Leticia Stauch. I think her trial will wrap up next week.
Nice back drop Dr. Grande. It is always great to listen to your analysis.
