I have to agree, when I hear this particular concert & see the footage, it really is the best line up. Gary does a great Paul McCartney vocal, from a distance, he does resemble Paul's mannerisms, talking & all. The guy playing George, on lead guitar has the look, and the energy is oozing from him., he is a very good lead guitarist. The guy playing drums, looks like the real Ringo, moves like him, has the manerism's down pat. The best Ringo out of all the Beatle tribute bands. The guy doing John, sounds like John,
Got all the vocal & harmonies right to a T, but sadly doesn't have John's manerisms, & his look isn't quite right. The hair style isn't quite right, if he changed that, he could improve the Lennon look.
But these guys have great energy on stage, the Beatle presence is there, in this particular performance. Unfortunate that the line up has changed to guys that don't pull it off, as they once did. No malice mean't, but they are like most of all the other Beatle tribute bands, that haven't got it down properly.
Why change it, if it is working. Ofcourse Gary can't help not being there any longer, very sad, a great musician, a huge loss to the music world. But getting rid of the guys playing George & Ringo, was a bad move, because the replacements just don't cut it the same. 1964 The Tribute are virtually a whole new band now. What happened to the George & Ringo players, they were the best, great players, that uncannily had the look, and energy. Are these 2 guys still playing?
Perhaps an answer from the band itself would be good, to explain their departure.
Anyway guys, keep up the good work, there is a lot of competition out there, when it comes to Beatle Tribute shows. At the end of the day, it really is about the music, and playing Beatle songs, arrangements, isn't as easy as it looks. All the musicians around the world doing these shows, have to be good at their craft, and have good musical talent within.
@@nevillede-hoedt6520 Hello Neville, the last I knew, Jimmy Pou, was playing "George" as part of Beatlemania Now, as well as a solo act. The "Ringo" the last I knew was playing his part as the drummer for the Liverpool Legends in Branson MO. Imagine playing in the same theater night after night ! The original "George" was Tom Work and he took his part back after a 12 year sabbatical. I don't know if the breakup was amical or destructive, however I do know that Jimmy sat in sometimes. I don't have the details though. You can find him on TH-cam playing "You're Gonna Lose That Girl" in 2013. Hope this helps.

Saw them at a place called McGuffey's in Dayton. Ohio in the 80's. About 20 feet from the stage, drinking draft beer from a pitcher and I absolutely could not believe what I was seeing and hearing. Just went there on a whim and had never heard of them. I can't thank them enough for giving me one of the best nights of my life!!!!

I've seen a ton of Beatles tribute bands on TH-cam... this performance is the most accurate I've ever heard. Everything is spot on but they have one thing that so many others don't get quite right: the vocals. It's only hearing these guys makes me realise what most of the others were missing. These guys are singing and harmonising in the right register and with the power to make the air crackle the way the Beatles did. Amazing.
Agree. The vocals are one half step down, but really good.

I saw the group back in the early 90s in this configuration, at least 3 times at a local jr college in their extra large cafeteria/auditorium on a slightly raised stage. I was twenty feet away and could see how they played everything. It was like listening to a Beatles record every time. Sadly Gary (Paul) died of a brain tumour. He was the most definitive of any Paul impersonation I've seen. He learned to play left hand bass/guitar for his part. I felt

It was their ("1964 TT ) energy, back then, which lacks with most of the other's. These guys, including ( TFF ), have been impersonating the Beatles, longer than The Beatle's career. What a good job to have. They deserve medals, perhaps they should be ( knighted ) for their longevity. Good work guys.

This video is very very old....Gary Grimes (The "Paul" here) died like 10 years ago and this video is from at least the 90's...1964 aren't any good anymore unfortunately...they sound and look old!

Every post is different, but usually use multi band analog compressors to try to even out the sound.

How would you compare this group to The Fab Four?
it may not seem as connected here because you're up close, but the real enjoyment was live because it was a little harder to tell it was a tribute band. They were fun too
@@dave-nevins I’ve seen The Fab Four several times live. I can say that without a doubt that they are the absolute best Beatles tribute band out there. I’ve seen others, and while there are other good Beatles tribute bands like Rain, The Fab Four is head and shoulders above them. Unlike 1964 The Tribute, The Fab Four cover all the stages of the Beatles, including the Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road periods. That, to me, takes more talent than just wearing one costume and singing only the early songs of The Beatles, as 1964 The Tribute does.
