I love the way you say, "We." "Remember when WE transplanted this peony and that one and there's another one back there last year? It's always "we," instead of "I." I always think to myself, "Why yes, I do remember when WE did that." You probably don't even think about it, but it's really special because we do feel like we're there with you.
Our Sweet Laura, is so very respectful of us all, that why we all love her so much, right? Wanda In Bartlesville, Ok.
The Laura Edition auger I bought from your online store is a total game changer and back saver for sure! I feel pretty cool using it while sporting my Garden Answer t-shirt. I'll admit...I'm a GA Junkie!🤩
Oooohhh meeeeee to. Luuuhuuuvvv it. 💜💜🌈🌈🐝🐝🦋🦋🦋
Me three!🌸🙌🏼💕
I have the Laura Edition auger. It is a game changer 😊
Sorry to sound corny but me four 🤗
Me too!
I’ve been watching GA for about 3 years now. You kept talking about how wonderful bubblegum was. My mother and I always loved petunias, but had no luck , so we had given up. I finally bought 1 bubblegum to try and we were pleasantly surprised by how well it did. Mom was thrilled! She passed a year ago, but not before she could enjoy her beloved petunias. Thank you so much for that. This year I am growing 4 different petunias. Wish me luck!
I'm so glad your mom got to see her petunias!❤
Luck luck luck 🍀
I only have a porch to put plants on so I decided to try the Sure Fire Rose Begonia in pots. My porch gets morning sun and the plants are awesome. The blooms don't fall off at the slightest touch like the older versions.
I'm sorry to hear about your Mom passing. I am glad to hear that the two of you enjoyed flowers together. Thank you for sharing.
I’m so proud of you for feeling okay to lessen your load in certain areas of your garden. Such wisdom you’ve shared in this decision… so many try to do ALL the things, but often it makes other areas actually suffer. Like, our sanity. 😊 I have prayed that you don’t take on more than you can handle because I’d be so sad if you got burnt out and stopped enjoying yourself. ❤ Wise lady you are! ❤️
My compliments to the editor. The music choice has been amaaazing!
Ola te quedo bonito te felicito un hermoso jardín para una bella mujer cuídate y sigue siendo feliz con esa familia queDios te dio
Who loves Laura!❤ ❤❤❤Garden Answers is truly the greatest show ever 🎉take care P.S. take the kids out to pick pumpkins 😃
Since learning that moving a plant is just okay, I did some revamping in my garden this spring. After awhile I thought I could hear the bushes whimpering to each other, “Here comes that old woman with the shovel again!” They all did great and I am much happier with the changes. Was inspired as my small garden is in the area garden walk at the end of June. Thank you for all the inspiration!
Laura! I love how you streamlined your work flow and pulled the plants out of their containers before taking them all to the bed! BRAVO!
Right?! Work smarter not harder!
Thank you for stopping to show us the peonies! With all we see you plant, it’s nice to see how those plants grow on and flush out. I know you share this on your garden tours, but a quick stop to show us something feels similar to how I enjoy my own garden… seeing things day by day as they bring their own beauty.
Laura, plant as many as you want, don’t let anyone rain on your parade! I love the saturation in your garden! You are such an inspiration.
Dear Video Editor -- THANK YOU so much for the soothing background music, slower-speed footage, and drone footage during the planting of the Supertunia Bubble Gum! Is it possible to do more of that? Gardening, though hard work, should always be a relaxing, restorative process. Well done!
While the subject matter (flowers and gardening) captivates. It's the photography and bright demeanor which keeps me coming back. 🌼🌻🌹
I'm happy to hear you talk about changing your mind, experience and maturity shining through!! Laura you're such a beautiful light in this world, thank you for sharing your entire family and your life with us.!!
Your gardens are like the Garden of Eden. No issues with rabbits, deer or rampant squirrels. No serpents either 😉Everything thrives. You plant a tree and it grows so quickly. I know a lot of work goes into it but dang I go outside a tree I put in is scraped bare by a buck. 😩
You give us all hope.
I wonder if low humidity has something to do with it ( aside from her gardening skills). In humid areas it’s so wet where slugs, and fungal diseases are so common.
I have three trees that have not leafed out yet and I'm waiting to see if they're dead. I feel your pain! Lol
Remember, every single thing they grow has to have drip line! It is Eden, but they work hard to get there❤
In Atlanta here and already ran into five copperheads since I started planting in early April! That's the most I've ever found in my yard. They were babies, but found in all different areas, which makes me a little bit nervous. Like they've surrounded us! And already nursed a few mosquito and spider bites... When I see Laura putting her bare hands into places I hold my breath often! The good news is, my five year old blueberry bushes are FILLED with berries right now! Usually the deer get them. Not sure why this year, perhaps my neighbor's getting all the visitors. And Rhonda, I've only had to water my garden once in the last five weeks, the rain's been fantastic here.
My goodness you were a busy girl today. Well everyday, who are we kidding. Sooo beautiful Laura. I just love the education you give to us gardeners out here. Especially like me who is learning day by day with your videos. My beautiful yard is only getting more beautiful thanks to you. Be blessed. See you in the next one!!🌿🌿🪴🪴🦋🦋🦋🌳🌳🐝🐝🐝
Yes Laura! Finally, supertunia Vista bubble gum!!!!! 👏👏👏👏 So happy you have that back in your garden. 😊
Oh, Laura, I’m so proud of you for cutting back on your tomatoes this year. It seems you have always ended up with thirty something every year. A lot of work….and space….to end up giving them away. I’ve noticed lately that you seem to be “working smarter not harder” as the saying goes. Just little things here and there that make a difference. I’m glad you’re feeling less pressure. Planting tomatoes in the rose garden instead of roses when you’re not sure what you’re going to do about the rose spacing is such a good idea. You have a lot more property and a lot of projects. It’s good to see you going with the flow and relaxing a bit with all that’s going on. You love what you do and you are fortunate to be able to do what you love for a job. Relaxing with the process is a game changer. Kudos. 👍🌺🥰
Laura, I’ve been watching your channel for a couple of years and you continue to keep the inspiration fresh and fun. Thank you for helping me be a better gardener.
I know there will come a day when you will retire or call it quits, so I will enjoy your gardens every day until that sad day comes. Love your family and all the wonderful things you do.
I especially enjoyed the filming aspects of the video today. Very nice quality, angles, use of drone shots, editing. All the things. 👍💚💚💚
I have such great memories of my entire family going to a local farm, taking a hay ride out to pick pumpkins, and then drinking cider and eating donuts.😊
Loving the topiary in the south garden. Talk about “right plant, right place”!
Y'all's videography has really tightened up. It has a real professional quality.
I must say Aaron's grass looks gorgeous in this video. It was a scene stealer!
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
That before and after shot … wow such a huge difference . You’re very good at designing with landscaping. I love it!
🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
Thank you to the GA editors for reducing the dial in the speeded up parts. Much appreciated ❤
"Their roots are sensitive to rotting, and if they spend any amount of time in wet soil, they can be set back or even die. Most of the time, if you lose a butterfly bush after winter, it wasn't due to low temperatures or snow or ice - it was because the plant sat in cold, wet soil in fall or spring." Proven Winners
Totally understandable to want to pair down & condense. I think it's a universal thing of gardening... what we dream vs. what is attainable and realistic. I think we are always trying to find the balance. 💚
14:59 "Look at how much this plant has not resented me for it!" 😂😂😂Love how real you are and so proud of you for recognizing the need to cut back in some areas. None of us know how you do it all already. Looking forward to seeing all that this year brings!
Funny 😁
Thank you for being so positive & inspirational. I figured why I enjoyed you so much.
You are so knowledgeable, truthful, inspirational, thoughtful, appreciative, imaginative, dreamer, nice voice, pretty, your videos have lovely music AND share your beautiful family.
But most of all you bring love and beauty to this world.
So THANK YOU LAURA so much for what you all do to inspire us.❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏🙏🙏🌺🌷🪷🌸💮🏵️🪻🌻🌼
Your gardens get more beautiful every 🍃❤️🍃
Again , absolutely love the editing of the closer up planting . Thanks
Green bell peppers are just unripe bell peppers. The “green” ones from the garden centers will turn red or yellow if you let them.
I have a soft spot for begonias, all kinds. My parents’ garden was mostly shaded under live oaks. And begonias were an ever present part of the yard. I especially remember huge angel wing begonia hanging baskets all along the back of the house. Wonderful memories associated with begonias.
Hi Laura and Aaron! I was wondering if you would consider a butterfly/PeterRabbit/fairy type garden near the play area for Benjamin and Samantha? The garden you made before with Benjamin was so sweet. I remember him picking out plants. I think Samantha would love it! Love your channel, I have my coffee with you every morning.🍄🪺🌸
Thank you for planting less plants. Most of us can’t buy 50 or 80 plants.
Awe I like it when Laura feeds the nation. It would be my dream if someone just gave me the fruits of their labor. I guess though things are just getting harder to do when there’s so much property to plant yet and something’s have to give. I’ll miss your bountiful crops though. 💐💚🙃
Good morning Laura I love your show. I think you’re very wise to scale back on your tomatoes and pumpkins and other vegetables. I watch a couple of other gardeners as well and most people plant way more than they need. It’s nice to put in what you will use and what you plan to share, good choice
Love that you are relaxing on rules of where you plant stuff, i.e., tomatoes in rose garden space!
glad you are putting the begonias back under the maples. I just love them!
The gardens are all looking AMAZING!! I just love how there are still pink tulips scattered about. That pop of pink makes me smile!!
Hi Laura and family
I'm 1day behind on this video but, that's ok now I get to watch 2 this morning. The begonias are going to look great yum on the tomatoes.
Thank you Laura for sharing this video hope you all had a great day.
👋🙂
Awww...Your pumpkin harvest videos have become a fall tradition in my household. You always have such wonderful uses for them, and grow such fabulous varieties. I understand your reasons for changing your mind this year, I will miss the harvest video this year!
Me too! My favorite out of all of her videos. I do wonder if her sponsors have anything to do with her decision.
@@angelarios8305I don’t think the sponsors had anything to do with it. Laura is free to plant what she likes. I think it’s more about space and time management this year. The dream stream is being installed in October. Plus, last year she had to be really careful of black widows in the open field patch so the kids couldn’t be quite as involved. If she takes a breather this year then next year she’ll find a space because she does love to grow them.
Love, love, love your trick of removing the begonias from their pots prior to taking them to the planting area! I tried this, and it's so nice not wrestling with all the pots and labels while planting. Thanks for your continued inspiration!
I'm amused about tomatoes ending up in the rose garden. Even though I watch the video, That your husband had a panic attack. When you joked about it. I love your videos. And I'm sure everything is good.
Laura I’m excited for anything that gives you time to work on new areas of your wonderful garden. Going to buy pumpkins will be such fun for the children. And not being overwhelmed by produce will be freeing. I’m eager to see what you will do in front of the house, the dream stream, the dirt lands and the playground area as well as all the other areas. I’m amazed you get so much done. Can’t wait to see more. 😎👍🏼
Love when its this time of the year. To see all your beautiful plants blooming and your garden filling in. You are so inspiring. ❤
Espoma needs to make a spout for you on those backs. So you don't have to rip it open you just open a little plastic spout and it has a little pour out.
Such a good idea, in general!
Nicely edited video - loved the music with Laura's work - it fit beautifully together. Thank you again to everyone at Garden Answer for all your hard work!
Putting mangaves in those urns on the west side garden would be beautiful and very structurally interesting. You wouldn’t need to worry about clashing colors either. Maybe if you have space you can underplant it with lemon coral sedum.
i agree! forgot about those.
Sorry for so many comments. Just wanted to add I'm in zone 6b and I have given up on Buddleia. I planted 3 dwarf Lo & Behold and lost all of them. When I shopped for replacements, I read so many negative comments (on Buddleia in general) that I decided to take a different direction.
Planting annuals is always fun, and it sure brings me joy to see all those beautiful trees in the background growing and providing structure. The before and after in the east bed really showcases the impact. This video feels different in a good way, I’m not sure if it’s the music, but I like it.
Morning Sweet Laura, Aaron, and Children, Sure love the new changes on your property, garden is all about the change.Hope all is going your way, stay safe, Sending my love and God's blessings 🙏🙏🙏🙏 to you all.Wabda In Bartlesville, Ok.
Excellent camera work capturing planting the tomatoes & showing the drip line! Excellent perspective!!❤️👀❤️ This is one of the ways your videos stand out from others.
Music is also pleasing & positive & active .
Excellent!!!
Idk how to express how much I love these daily videos ❤I always learn something, and so enjoy seeing your gorgeous property. Your family adds the icing on the cake❤ great way to start my day with a cup of joe❤
White and sparkling plants would look great in the urns behind the surefire begonias. Also would be highlighted by the evergreen arbs. ❤❤❤
Everything is so green and beautiful. Spring is here
Laura you are showing such wisdom !! Less is more and you will find you enjoy your garden and family!!
It’s good to find flowers that perform great and reuse them.
Although your job is to try new plants BUT REMEMBER YOUR GARDEN SHOULD BRING JOY!! 😊! Enjoy watching you and your gardens grow🤓
Sooooo happy to see the surefire rose begonias back under your maple trees. The white ones were ok but the rose colored ones are stunning.
Laura for the future you might consider an edible landscape project. Demonstrate how to incorporate edibles into existing ornamental gardens. Not everyone has space or the inclination to have a dedicated vegetable garden but a lot of people would love to have fresh tomatoes, squash etc. They just don't know how to pair the two together. Demonstrate the beauty of artichoke foliage, tomatoes on ornamental trellising, squash and zucchini leaf contrast against the ornamental plantings. Just a thought. Love the show.
Everything looks great! Y'all are doing a WONDERFUL job! I love y'all!🫶🥰🤗☀️⭐️
You should plant the mangaves in the west side urns
I could sit in that black bench for hours! Such a beautiful, peaceful area.
Supertunia Latte would be pretty in those tall urns ❤
Red, yellow and orange bells are just different degrees of ripness of the green bell peppers. The longer the green peppers ripen the colors change.
Laura, you could market yourself as an efficiency expert! I am just as fascinated by how you set up your process as what you plant and why. Today it was how you took all the begonias out of their containers at the gator and put them in the cardboard tray and planted them from that. Simple step but, in my eyes, genius! No plastic containers to deal with as you’re planting! And you do this ALL the time and I love seeing it. It jives with my love of order and, well, efficiency. I’ve been watching you and Aaron since townhouse days. You are in my morning routine and ALWAYS give me new, great ideas. I have to say that not only do I feel such a deep gratitude for your happy, healthy TH-cam offerings, but I also feel an abiding affection for you and your family. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! ❤
PS you posted something on Instagram not too long ago where Benjamin and Samantha Grace were pulling weeds instead of helping you bake brownies, and I could listen to Samantha Grace say Benjamin‘s name 1 million times and it wouldn’t be too many. So Flippin adorable. 😂❤😂❤
I was surprised that I had never thought about taking the plants out of their containers and taking them to their new home. I've always disliked having to corral those wind blown plastic containers at the planting site.
Sorry, I meant P W is really glad to get pot's back. You use thousands!❤❤❤
Those begonias looked so beautiful two years ago I’m glad you are repeating it. Do you know how much you influence plant choices? When I see something I like in your videos and go to buy it - a lot of times they are sold out. I think God smiles at all the all the different plants growing now because of you and Aaron 😊
Great video, cant wait to see the bubble gum suoertunias start filling in they are going to be very beautiful and such a large impact. And the veggies are looking great ❤
I love going along with you as you share your planting ideas and varieties of plant options. So beautiful
Piano music was just wonderful as a backdrop for you planting - loved the sound.
Laura One suggestion: maybe it would be nice to put those black benches under the Maples, but on the side where you planted the Begonias, and on the other side to put some smaller urns. In the summer, it is beautiful to sit in the shade under the Maples and look at the rest of the yard. Great time.
The birds sure were talking today! I LOVED hearing them with the music. Beautiful 🤩
I need to start watching your videos in the afternoon after work because I always feel ready to go. If I watch in the morning, the feeling is gone by the time I get done with work!
I got a little nostalgic while you were laying out the plants for the gorgeous weather the US can lay on…whether in the Spring or the Autumn. I’m hanging out for some warmer weather in the next few days. I’m coming from New Zealand to Wisconsin…I need to warm up my internal furnace, I can’t wait 😊
you gardens just make me smile. what an amazing transformation. Westside garden is till one of my favorites.
Taylor ... You're Doing A Great Job Buddy ! ... Love It !
I first started watching the Garden Answer channel when the brick walkway was being installed, creating the west side garden. I have been a non-stop viewer ever since. I have gone into "the archives " and binge watched most of the available videos from the start... boy, what a transformation your property (and your lives) has taken through the years.♡ The Surefire Rose Begonias are going to be stunning in their spot under the trees. As you were planting, I could envision the black benches on the opposite side along the pathway... maybe with a simple pot of Surefires and Dichondra Silverfalls combo on each side of each bench? ♡
I love watching Aaron and yourself.
Hi Laura! We gardeners always change things up and we learn as we go. The garden is constantly evolving and the journey is always fun! Thanks for sharing that with us!
Laura, can you give a little more information on the purple/blue bulb plant (not sure I’ve ever heard the name before) that the bumble bee was enjoying? I’m super curious about it…just beautiful!!!🤩
Love the evolution of your garden and how you purpose your time. Taking the begonias out then in a tray. Smart, efficient step.
Time well spent! Very excited for your family. Lovely and peaceful part of my day. God bless!
Yes! Take your kids to pick pumpkins because it is a fantastic memory
Glad to hear its ok to amend the soil annually in containers instead of replacing it unless you've had an infestation..Thats something I've always felt was ok but it made me feel better hearing you say it is was ok..Lol If you have big containers that can be quite the task!!
Do you have pumpkin patches in your area? In the Midwest they are a huge attraction. Basically mini amusement parks. You get to go out to the fields and pick your own pumpkins and there is usually homemade food at a food stand, stuff for the kids to play on, corn maze, etc. It's a great way to go get your pumpkins.
Can’t wait to see how the bubblegums fill in. I put only 4 around my mailbox area. My brain was like, “Noooo! You need six more!”
I stayed with only 4. We shall see! I planted less in my food garden as well.
Some dwarf butterfly bushes are just not as hardy as the tag claims. I've learned that one the hard way. I've tried 2x with 2 different ones. No joy. But I talked to other gardeners and it's common and a nursery told me it was the newer dwarf ones. So I have enough room to try out an older cultivar this year. I've also trasferred peony's this year from the garden of a friend who passed. It's been raining ever since so can't say they haven't been well watered lol. The flowers flopped but the leaves bounced back.
Good morning from soggy Maryland. Laura was quite the busy 🐝 today.
I gotta say, I think 25 is overkill. I use supertunia bubblegum in the front of our house along our sidewalk backed by evergreen bushes. And they grow 6-7ft wide! One plant! It’s insane how the bubblegum perform. This is with weekly fertilizer. So we’ll see but I think you’ll be saying you didn’t need that many. Gonna be gorgeous either way!
Last year I put just 4 vista bubblegum in a 10 x 25 space and they were soooo vigorous they ate the rose bushes behind them and the African daisies and lemon coral sedum in front of them! So this year I planted 3 and will prune them regularly. On another more protected space, they wintered over and have been 2 feet high by 4 feet wide for a month already. I’ve trimmed them weekly to keep them from climbing the roses and alliums, and covering over the alyssum at the edges.
I bought PW Purple colored Butterfly Bushes. I planted them in pots by my front door. I love them. Gorgeous purple color. Thanks for the idea.
I think all white would look pretty in the urns.
This is by far my favorite gardening utube Laura and Aaron and kiddos and kitties oh my!! I've recommended it to many friends. Carry on and thrive my friends on Garden Answers.
I love how colorful your place is. I watched one of your videos from 6 years ago or so when you planted a long row of arborvitae’s along the fence. Could you do a 6 yr review on them? See how they turned out. Thanks!
I know the feeling of wanting to scale things back some years but go for it other years. It keeps things fun! Love it!
Laura, please protect your knees, because I'd like to see you over the years in the same good shape! I damaged one of mine working like that in the garden last year. It was so fine outside, but the next day I couldn't walk at all. I love your garden, I love your love for flowers and plants. You' re amazing. Never stop . You gave me the virus...of gardening! That's a good virus 😊😊
WINNING FORMULA....Chores, gator ride/mini tour, kids/cats ❤ love this episode
I love how neat and tidy everything is!! Love your gardens so much. ❤
Jimmy Nardello peppers are a sweet ltalian frying pepper. Delicious!❤❤❤
