i don't know much about hanzo, but he must have been an incrediblely powerful ninja if he's able to take on all three of them and also give them the title of sannin, and because of that title, all three of them are known all over the ninja world. so you can't say "hanzo isn't soo strong" cause he obviously was.
Hanzo deserved more screen time. He single-handedly kept all the nations from going through his ENTIRE COUNTRY out of pure fear, both in the 2nd and 3rd great war. He personally was strong enough to make even legends like the Kages, Minato, ect' from risking passing through, even though Ame was the only direct route to their respective enemies. A country is pretty darn big, so that it some SERIOUS large-scale influence and power going on. I guess Nagato's rain trick probably came from him.

Some of yall don't understand. The reason and literally only reason Mifune defeated Edo Hanzo was because the reanimation brings you back to the state prior to your death. Earlier in the Manga when talking about Pain it's said that Hanzo stopped training and his paranoia also hindered his abilities. I highly doubt that the sannin could defeat Hanzo at least not without one of them dying or ending in a stalemate. In this battle Hanzo proved that he managed to not only defeat an entire konoha squad, but also the soon to be named Sannin. And by the look of it Hanzo doesn't have any injuries. That just proves that he was a badass. He was also considered a legendary ninja just like Madara, but to a lesser, imo not by much, extent. I'm pretty sure that the sannin at this point are stronger than Kakashi in early part 2. That's pretty impressive defeating an entire squad and 3 stronger version kakashi's

+abraham baluz yes. I do believe Nagato is stronger than prime Madara. Remember most of Edo Madara feats are because of his Kabuto's enhancements and his rinne which he didn't have in his prime. Madara was about to lose to a Naruto, Gaara and Inoki combination until he used his rinne. Hanzo was already beginning to deteriorate in his abilities when he teamed up with Danzo. Madara is over-hyped imo. To give a good example on how strong Prime Madara was let's look at Obito who is also stronger than prime Madara. In the official Viz made by Kishimoto it is stated that Obitos abilities Mirrored Madara in his prime. I would say Obito is a bit stronger because of fucking Kamui. I'm pretty sure Danzo could've given Obito a run for his money. There's a reason why he was considered a legendary shinobi.

Secondly, Hanzo's skills had deteriorated due to his obsession with personal security and stopping threats before they became a challenge and he still fought 6 vs 1 against the pains. The best proof of his strength is his ability to resist Kabuto's commands and commit seppuku.
Hanzo was one of the strongest Shinobies in the series. He fought Nagato, Yahico and Conan. He managed to kill Yahico. And run away from Nagato jutsu. Before that. He win against the Sanin of konoha. After aging he face again Pain and got killed. Just like when Sandaime got killed by Orochimaru. After all, he master the Shunshin no jutsu which no one of the Sanin master it. Also it seems Orochimaru still does not learn the Edo tense no jutsu. It is amazing that Hanzo has: Shunshin not jutsu Poison Kuchiose And Explosive master like Conan. He managed to burn Nagato feet and forced him to use Gedo mazo. Hanzo no Salamandar is a legendary Shinobi. Just like the other Legendary Shinobida.
This fight was actually based off of 3 French Legionnaires who stood against thousands of Mexican troops...after they made their stand against them, the commander of the Mexican army spared their lives because of their bravery.... this fight is an epic re-tell of those acts of bravery, and honor/respect.

The Sannin being in theri prime here is BS Oro didn't have reanimation, Tsuna didn't have the byakugo and Jiraiya didn't have sage mode. How are they on their strongest then?
Masashi Kishimoto is truly a genius and the naruto series is brilliantly written and I must say that this series is beautiful and has a wonderful story that surpasses any anime or manga that I have seen. Masashi Kishimoto I nominate you as TAKEO meaning "warrior hero" and you are truly more powerful than the Sage of the six paths or any ninja that ever walks in the Naruto universe.
Bad analogy since the flashback between hanzo and mifune shows that both were close in age, you mean to tell that because mifune is now older it makes him more powerful. Jiraiya even expressed shock when he discoverd that hanzo was killed by pein because he couldn't believe someone was actually able to kill him.
In part 1, Itachi admitted if him and Jiraya fought, it would end in a stalemate at the very least while Kisame said he is no match for Jiraya Overall with Susanoo, I think Itachi would have the advantage but long battles aren't his forte and Jiraya has a lot more stamina and chakra reserves than Itachi

Also explained, that is shisui's eye, Danzo stole shisui's left eye. Shisui's eyes were like a treasure as he was one of the few with the mangekyou and was capable of using the kotoamatsukami (google it), itachi predicted sasuke would attack the village if he found out the truth, so he entrusted shisui's eye to naruto in case he'd needed. This also made it so that once naruto faced reanimated itachi, it would make itachi able to break through kabuto's control.
Kishimoto and his plot holes... How in the actual f*** could hanzo defeat one sannin -- let alone all three simultaneously -- when Hanzo was defeated by little ole Mifune in a one on one? The sannins aren't using summonings, Jiraya isn't using sage mode, Orochimaru isn't using his best jutsu's, and Tsunade isn't even using the self-healing seals that she used when fighting Madara. If Jiraya fought against this Hanzo weakling at the same capacity with which he fought Nagato, Hanzo would be dragged through the mud.
the reason why hanzo was defeated was because he hadn't practiced in like forever. And this is actually the end of the fight, there's no saying that the sannin hadn't used their most powerful jutus already

Agree with the comment that this is simply the end of the battle, we don't know how far the sannin went or Hanzo though the video shows him to be toying with them than actually trying to pursue them with true lethal intent. One has to understand for all the achievements we know of Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jaiyara you cannot dismiss what we know about Hanzo. He fought Chiyo numerous times without any problems and Chiyo is a legendary elite shinobi in my opinion perhaps even more so than the Third Kazekage from what we know of her abilities. since Chiyo and Tsunade clashed allot too we can assume Hanzo is at least as strong as Tsunade but can infer he is greater in skill. He was one of a rare handful to escape the wrath of Nagato and his power at least up until the point he was finally backed into a wall, no less, a impressive feat given no other could do it. Despite his power Hanzo was able to cripple Nagato and take down the original akatsuki. Danzo is also not a moron, he wouldn't have sided with Hanzo had he known he was not powerful enough to accomplish his goals for him. And Mifune is a legendary samarai and he is to a blade as guy is to a fist. Is he elite? Maybe, is he kage level, I dont think so, but he is giften and can best many a Jonin without them getting off a single jutsu, as stated their style is based around. Note out of all the shinobi in the Hidden Rain it was Hanzo who rose to the top and took control as its leader too and waded through the wars brought about by the 5 great countries and survived. That alone speaks volumes. Orochimaru probably didn't have all his best or forbidden jutsu just yet at this point, tsunade was there more as a medical nin at that point in time thus her chakra would have been spend keeping Orochimaru, Jaiayra, and herself alive and not powering up. Jaiyra needs time to prepare sage mode, assuming he had it at this point, he probably wasn't given the chance to use to Hanzo being a adept combatant and all.
At one point, Hanzo was one of the strongest shinobi throughout the series and even pein aknowleged that, but when hanzo experienced first hand at what power the sage of six paths had to offer, he fled and went into hiding. That's when he lost faith in himself and stopped training making him weak as time goes by AND allowing everyone to catch up to him and even surpassing him, but overall he is very honarble and admirable, sparing the lives of many for their courage and abilites *cough* Mifune
Edo tensei brings back shinobis as they were before they died, not as they were in their prime. And yes mifune won because he invested much time over the years training and holding onto his convictions while Hanzo did the exact opposite. Which mifune pointed out as to why hanzo wasn't the warrior he used to be anymore.

There's a difference between making an awesome character and making a character just to be perfect with no real personallity traits other than "I Always Win!" the reason why hanzo isn't as powerful as he used to be is because he has gotten way rusty from shutting himself away after he and mifune fought. If he was as powerful as he used to be he would have smashed them like bugs on the sidewalk. Jiraiya would probably be the only one that would be able to solo him out of the sannin, maybe Orochimaru also, but definately not Tsunade by herself, especially with that high power poison he uses. It's clear that they didn't have a plan for the whole Uchiha Secret thing. Instead of any kind of negotiations, the 3rd Hokage apparently went straight to telling Itachi and Obito to kill thier own clan because they couldn't be trusted... yet he doesn't do anything about Itachi or Obito, 2 unbelivably powererful Sharingun users, or Danzo and his sharingun arm with his clear obsession with power. Or Sasuke. The whole thing is just "Itachi is good and kills everyone but survives because Itachi"
I just imagine the Hokage going up to Itachi and someone they think is Madara and saying "I need you 2 to kill everyone you ever held dear because they're a threat to the village. Then, I need you to leave forever because this ammount of bloodshead makes the village look bad." He actually kinda is important. HE created the saanin and kinda created pain in a sense by forcing yahiko to die and trying to eliminate the akatsuki. He was also the leader of amegakure and a kick ass ninja.
And what I said about Mifune and Sannins surpassing Hanzo can be proven by the fact that Hanzo was killed by Pein. And Pein, despite killing Jiraiya, said that if Jiraiya had known that there were 6 of them before hand, Jiraiya would've won the battle. But he was caught off guard, which is why they got him. So Hanzo < Pein < Jiraiya, who has long surpassed Hanzo in his prime. So this can said about Mifune too, who is of the same ranking as the Sannins.
Hanzo was insanely strong. The fight with Mifune did not do him justice. Pain with full power took him down and that is what kind of level you needed to beat him. Hanzo would easy rape almost everyone in his prime. He was the "Kage" of his village.

Naruto w/o the 9 tails would be a completely different character, same w/ Sasuke if the sharingan didn't exist. There would be no reason for either of them to have lost their families. Naruto would be taught by the greatest ninja alive (the fourth) and Sasuke would have been best friends with Naruto since their parents were friends, too. It's safe to say that Itachi and Minato would have had a huge influence on the two of them if not for the sharingan and 9 tails... they'd still be awesome ninja

it was explained that the edo tensei technique that Kabuto uses the revive people can't bring them back into their prime it is the power they had when they died and they still have all the damage done to them over time on their bodies. that would make Hanzo weaker then when he was alive

Yes, the video. That was before. Now the Sannins are stronger, not weak like they were before. Pain may be incredibly powerful, but even he admitted that Jiraiya would've beat him if he knew about the secret sooner. And that would be a fair battle: Jiraiya vs all Peins from the start, and not having one do a sneak attack on him.

Pain Rocked Up, killed nearly everyone in the village, destroyed the village, Raped the toads (ALL OF THEM) raped Hinata, Raped Naruto, then the fox came out (9 tales) , nearly got raped. Hanzo was old and was caught off guard without his salamander but even if Hanzo had his salamander Pain is a corpse he wouldn't get poisoned. Also Hanzo doesn't have anything in his arsenal of techniques to hold his own against a opponent like Pain unlike Jiraiya who has a lot of jutsu what trap and destroy. Nagato said himself that Jiraiya would have beaten him without the secret of the Six Paths of Pain. I don't know, maybe Hanzo was just about hype, but we weren't given any information related to his prime, the time at when he faced Mifune. I wouldn't go as far as calling him the outright winner, but he would have definitely put up a hell of a fight.

As for the Genjutsu, I agree she has only dispelled some Genjutsu, but her original jutsu type IS Genjutsu. Genjutsu is like her affinity,her nature (not the proper words but I guess you know what I mean). About the superhuman strengh she already suprassed her a little because she also awakened the Byakou seal.
its not that hanzo was defeated by mifune.Firstly edo tensei reanimates the person on the state they were before death meaning when he was killed by pain.When hanzo fougth pain,he was weakened because he stopped training and wasnt on the same level as before.Against mifune he didnt fight until the end but he killed himself becasue of honor
Oh my lord. This was SO AWESOME! Why did they delete this scene?! They only show the end of the fight in the anime (from 1.38). I think Jiraia's attack was "Hari jigoku" - Needle hell! Very cool!
kit makes perfect sense if you pay attention at all. mifunes technique is perfect for taking out ninjas because his sword play allows him to attack before they can form handseals, .. so no ninja techniques = a dead hanzo , did you see him use any ninjitsu?
Dont forget they were still pretty young then, so they may have not been as strong and still getting the hang of their jutsu's. Possibly after that fight is when they figured out what they did wrong and perfected their jutsu, when we finally saw them. :)
Genjutsu is suppost to be illusions. In order to get an ACTUAL crow into someone's body, you need to move it there one way or another. And, right before it happens, they explein that it's impossible for multiple people to be trapped in Itachi's Genjutsu at once. What happened was they wanted to have some cool imagry with the crow flying into Naruto's mouth and then, later on, they wanted Itachi to break free from Kabuto (even though leaving his control should re-kill him).
The first and only time we saw Hanzo using techniques was against Nagato, so the people who made this episode did not have a lot jutsu to choose for him to use... And oh well, Tsunade is only really useful as a medic...
He didn't become rusty. They said when people are brought back, they retain all of their skills and powers from the time they died. He also wasn't turned into a mindless zombie killer; he still had his personality intact. So we know Hanzo was fighting at his prime. And he was good, but Mifune was just better now because ninjutsu doesn't work on him and Hanzo as ninja is not much without ninjutsu. So Hanzo's power didn't drop at all, Mifune just managed to surpass him, sannins too probably.
Do you also want to know how Naruto won? People died to get info about Pein's abilities to him. He had all of the abilities of Pein spoon fed to him by Katsuya while Jiraiya had to find out for himself AND create a solution for stopping each Pain and their linked vision ON THE SPOT. Jiraiya killed the first 3, if he knew about the other 3, do you think Jiraiya would give them a chance to revive the dead peins? I don't think so. Naruto on the other, had a lot of people helping him. And 9 tails.
@macrul3z Are you referring to this fight or the fight we have yet to see from the manga? Because in this fight, based on Hanzo's posture, I would say that he is playing with them. He doesn't show any real desperation in his attacks or even to be using much Chakra at all, as he would be were he fighting to kill.
Jiraiya had the sage mode, he trained it when he was still a kid,in this battle i think his chakra depleted, so he couldnt activate it again, basically hanzo was stronger than these three sannins

I was only trying to state my opinion that a powerful ninja such as Hanzo, could destroy a samurai who has no ninjutsu stuff... though Kishimoto thought otherwise. And yes i know the samurai have chakra too, everyone in the manga did. I'm sure their are other fans who, like me were disappointed when Hanzo was beaten by Mifune as well as Gai beating Kisame.

In this battle Hanzo proved that he managed to not only defeat an entire konoha squad, but also the soon to be named Sannin. And by the look of it Hanzo doesn't have any injuries. That just proves that he was a badass. He was also considered a legendary ninja just like Madara, but to a lesser, imo not by much, extent. I'm pretty sure that the sannin at this point are stronger than Kakashi in early part 2. That's pretty impressive defeating an entire squad and 3 stronger version kakashi's

+abraham baluz yes. I do believe Nagato is stronger than prime Madara. Remember most of Edo Madara feats are because of his Kabuto's enhancements and his rinne which he didn't have in his prime. Madara was about to lose to a Naruto, Gaara and Inoki combination until he used his rinne. Hanzo was already beginning to deteriorate in his abilities when he teamed up with Danzo.
Madara is over-hyped imo. To give a good example on how strong Prime Madara was let's look at Obito who is also stronger than prime Madara. In the official Viz made by Kishimoto it is stated that Obitos abilities Mirrored Madara in his prime. I would say Obito is a bit stronger because of fucking Kamui. I'm pretty sure Danzo could've given Obito a run for his money. There's a reason why he was considered a legendary shinobi.

Jiraiya was in sage mode for that fight. Secondly, Hanzo's skills had deteriorated due to his obsession with personal security and stopping threats before they became a challenge and he still fought 6 vs 1 against the pains. The best proof of his strength is his ability to resist Kabuto's commands and commit seppuku.
Hanzo was one of the strongest Shinobies in the series.
He fought Nagato, Yahico and Conan. He managed to kill Yahico.
And run away from Nagato jutsu.
Before that.
He win against the Sanin of konoha.
After aging he face again Pain and got killed.
Just like when Sandaime got killed by Orochimaru.
After all, he master the Shunshin no jutsu which no one of the Sanin master it.
Also it seems Orochimaru still does not learn the Edo tense no jutsu.

Scares off the ladies friend. Also he was fairly younger during this battle. Who knows when he actually attained it. If I recall, in between missions if he had the time he would go to Mount Myboku to sage train.
The Sannin being in theri prime here is BS Oro didn't have reanimation, Tsuna didn't have the byakugo and Jiraiya didn't have sage mode. How are they on their strongest then?
Masashi Kishimoto is truly a genius and the naruto series is brilliantly written and I must say that this series is beautiful and has a wonderful story that surpasses any anime or manga that I have seen. Masashi Kishimoto I nominate you as TAKEO meaning "warrior hero" and you are truly more powerful than the Sage of the six paths or any ninja that ever walks in the Naruto universe.
Bad analogy since the flashback between hanzo and mifune shows that both were close in age, you mean to tell that because mifune is now older it makes him more powerful. Jiraiya even expressed shock when he discoverd that hanzo was killed by pein because he couldn't believe someone was actually able to kill him.
In part 1, Itachi admitted if him and Jiraya fought, it would end in a stalemate at the very least while Kisame said he is no match for Jiraya
Overall with Susanoo, I think Itachi would have the advantage but long battles aren't his forte and Jiraya has a lot more stamina and chakra reserves than Itachi

Also explained, that is shisui's eye, Danzo stole shisui's left eye. Shisui's eyes were like a treasure as he was one of the few with the mangekyou and was capable of using the kotoamatsukami (google it), itachi predicted sasuke would attack the village if he found out the truth, so he entrusted shisui's eye to naruto in case he'd needed. This also made it so that once naruto faced reanimated itachi, it would make itachi able to break through kabuto's control.
Kishimoto and his plot holes... How in the actual f*** could hanzo defeat one sannin -- let alone all three simultaneously -- when Hanzo was defeated by little ole Mifune in a one on one? The sannins aren't using summonings, Jiraya isn't using sage mode, Orochimaru isn't using his best jutsu's, and Tsunade isn't even using the self-healing seals that she used when fighting Madara. If Jiraya fought against this Hanzo weakling at the same capacity with which he fought Nagato, Hanzo would be dragged through the mud.

Agree with the comment that this is simply the end of the battle, we don't know how far the sannin went or Hanzo though the video shows him to be toying with them than actually trying to pursue them with true lethal intent. One has to understand for all the achievements we know of Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jaiyara you cannot dismiss what we know about Hanzo. He fought Chiyo numerous times without any problems and Chiyo is a legendary elite shinobi in my opinion perhaps even more so than the Third Kazekage from what we know of her abilities. since Chiyo and Tsunade clashed allot too we can assume Hanzo is at least as strong as Tsunade but can infer he is greater in skill. He was one of a rare handful to escape the wrath of Nagato and his power at least up until the point he was finally backed into a wall, no less, a impressive feat given no other could do it. Despite his power Hanzo was able to cripple Nagato and take down the original akatsuki. Danzo is also not a moron, he wouldn't have sided with Hanzo had he known he was not powerful enough to accomplish his goals for him. And Mifune is a legendary samarai and he is to a blade as guy is to a fist. Is he elite? Maybe, is he kage level, I dont think so, but he is giften and can best many a Jonin without them getting off a single jutsu, as stated their style is based around. Note out of all the shinobi in the Hidden Rain it was Hanzo who rose to the top and took control as its leader too and waded through the wars brought about by the 5 great countries and survived. That alone speaks volumes. Orochimaru probably didn't have all his best or forbidden jutsu just yet at this point, tsunade was there more as a medical nin at that point in time thus her chakra would have been spend keeping Orochimaru, Jaiayra, and herself alive and not powering up. Jaiyra needs time to prepare sage mode, assuming he had it at this point, he probably wasn't given the chance to use to Hanzo being a adept combatant and all.

At one point, Hanzo was one of the strongest shinobi throughout the series and even pein aknowleged that, but when hanzo experienced first hand at what power the sage of six paths had to offer, he fled and went into hiding. That's when he lost faith in himself and stopped training making him weak as time goes by AND allowing everyone to catch up to him and even surpassing him, but overall he is very honarble and admirable, sparing the lives of many for their courage and abilites *cough* Mifune
Edo tensei brings back shinobis as they were before they died, not as they were in their prime. And yes mifune won because he invested much time over the years training and holding onto his convictions while Hanzo did the exact opposite. Which mifune pointed out as to why hanzo wasn't the warrior he used to be anymore.

Well every so often you get cartoons that are as good as anime. Usually they're based off of comics but some come from talented minds.

Such a good message to the people who love peace. Naruto is naruto. Itachi is itachi. The Naruto character himself was created to show that he have a mysterious power to change people. The important thing is he never give up and he will success in his life.
There's a difference between making an awesome character and making a character just to be perfect with no real personallity traits other than "I Always Win!" That's what is known as a Mary Sue, someone made to be absolute perfection and good for the sake of making someone who's abilities overshadow everyone else's.

the reason why hanzo isn't as powerful as he used to be is because he has gotten way rusty from shutting himself away after he and mifune fought. If he was as powerful as he used to be he would have smashed them like bugs on the sidewalk. Jiraiya would probably be the only one that would be able to solo him out of the sannin, maybe Orochimaru also, but definately not Tsunade by herself, especially with that high power poison he uses. Hanzo deserves more credit than the series gives the old man!

It's clear that they didn't have a plan for the whole Uchiha Secret thing. Instead of any kind of negotiations, the 3rd Hokage apparently went straight to telling Itachi and Obito to kill thier own clan because they couldn't be trusted... yet he doesn't do anything about Itachi or Obito, 2 unbelivably powererful Sharingun users, or Danzo and his sharingun arm with his clear obsession with power. Or Sasuke.
The whole thing is just "Itachi is good and kills everyone but survives because Itachi"
I just imagine the Hokage going up to Itachi and someone they think is Madara and saying

You were right about everything but the last sentence. The 3 sannin in this vid looked to be between 25 and 35 which mean they were in their prime.
He actually kinda is important. HE created the saanin and kinda created pain in a sense by forcing yahiko to die and trying to eliminate the akatsuki. He was also the leader of amegakure and a kick ass ninja.
And what I said about Mifune and Sannins surpassing Hanzo can be proven by the fact that Hanzo was killed by Pein. And Pein, despite killing Jiraiya, said that if Jiraiya had known that there were 6 of them before hand, Jiraiya would've won the battle. But he was caught off guard, which is why they got him. So Hanzo < Pein < Jiraiya, who has long surpassed Hanzo in his prime. So this can said about Mifune too, who is of the same ranking as the Sannins.
Hanzo was insanely strong. The fight with Mifune did not do him justice. Pain with full power took him down and that is what kind of level you needed to beat him. Hanzo would easy rape almost everyone in his prime. He was the "Kage" of his village.

Naruto w/o the 9 tails would be a completely different character, same w/ Sasuke if the sharingan didn't exist. There would be no reason for either of them to have lost their families. Naruto would be taught by the greatest ninja alive (the fourth) and Sasuke would have been best friends with Naruto since their parents were friends, too. It's safe to say that Itachi and Minato would have had a huge influence on the two of them if not for the sharingan and 9 tails... they'd still be awesome ninja
I remember i use to think that the sannins were such power ninja ,but actually they got this title because they survived against hanzo and he was impressed by them. Its something i never quite understood

it was explained that the edo tensei technique that Kabuto uses the revive people can't bring them back into their prime it is the power they had when they died and they still have all the damage done to them over time on their bodies. that would make Hanzo weaker then when he was alive

Yes, the video. That was before. Now the Sannins are stronger, not weak like they were before. Pain may be incredibly powerful, but even he admitted that Jiraiya would've beat him if he knew about the secret sooner. And that would be a fair battle: Jiraiya vs all Peins from the start, and not having one do a sneak attack on him.

Pain Rocked Up, killed nearly everyone in the village, destroyed the village, Raped the toads (ALL OF THEM) raped Hinata, Raped Naruto, then the fox came out (9 tales) , nearly got raped. And then Pain resurrected everyone. No one (apart perhaps from the Sage of the 6 paths) is even close to him. He is by far not my favorite character, But he was DAMN STRONG!!!

Hanzo was old and was caught off guard without his salamander but even if Hanzo had his salamander Pain is a corpse he wouldn't get poisoned. Also Hanzo doesn't have anything in his arsenal of techniques to hold his own against a opponent like Pain unlike Jiraiya who has a lot of jutsu what trap and destroy. Nagato said himself that Jiraiya would have beaten him without the secret of the Six Paths of Pain. I don't know, maybe Hanzo was just about hype, but we weren't given any information related to his prime, the time at when he faced Mifune.
I wouldn't go as far as calling him the outright winner, but he would have definitely put up a hell of a fight.

As for the Genjutsu, I agree she has only dispelled some Genjutsu, but her original jutsu type IS Genjutsu. Genjutsu is like her affinity,her nature (not the proper words but I guess you know what I mean). About the superhuman strengh she already suprassed her a little because she also awakened the Byakou seal.
its not that hanzo was defeated by mifune.Firstly edo tensei reanimates the person on the state they were before death meaning when he was killed by pain.When hanzo fougth pain,he was weakened because he stopped training and wasnt on the same level as before.Against mifune he didnt fight until the end but he killed himself becasue of honor

kit makes perfect sense if you pay attention at all. mifunes technique is perfect for taking out ninjas because his sword play allows him to attack before they can form handseals, .. so no ninja techniques = a dead hanzo , did you see him use any ninjitsu?
Forgot to mention Shisui was itachi's best friend and entrusted him with his right eye before danzo or someone else tried to steal it.
Dont forget they were still pretty young then, so they may have not been as strong and still getting the hang of their jutsu's. Possibly after that fight is when they figured out what they did wrong and perfected their jutsu, when we finally saw them. :)
Genjutsu is suppost to be illusions. In order to get an ACTUAL crow into someone's body, you need to move it there one way or another. And, right before it happens, they explein that it's impossible for multiple people to be trapped in Itachi's Genjutsu at once.
What happened was they wanted to have some cool imagry with the crow flying into Naruto's mouth and then, later on, they wanted Itachi to break free from Kabuto (even though leaving his control should re-kill him).
The first and only time we saw Hanzo using techniques was against Nagato, so the people who made this episode did not have a lot jutsu to choose for him to use... And oh well, Tsunade is only really useful as a medic...

He didn't become rusty. They said when people are brought back, they retain all of their skills and powers from the time they died. He also wasn't turned into a mindless zombie killer; he still had his personality intact. So we know Hanzo was fighting at his prime. And he was good, but Mifune was just better now because ninjutsu doesn't work on him and Hanzo as ninja is not much without ninjutsu. So Hanzo's power didn't drop at all, Mifune just managed to surpass him, sannins too probably.
Do you also want to know how Naruto won? People died to get info about Pein's abilities to him. He had all of the abilities of Pein spoon fed to him by Katsuya while Jiraiya had to find out for himself AND create a solution for stopping each Pain and their linked vision ON THE SPOT. Jiraiya killed the first 3, if he knew about the other 3, do you think Jiraiya would give them a chance to revive the dead peins? I don't think so. Naruto on the other, had a lot of people helping him. And 9 tails.
@macrul3z Are you referring to this fight or the fight we have yet to see from the manga? Because in this fight, based on Hanzo's posture, I would say that he is playing with them. He doesn't show any real desperation in his attacks or even to be using much Chakra at all, as he would be were he fighting to kill.

Jiraiya had the sage mode, he trained it when he was still a kid,in this battle i think his chakra depleted, so he couldnt activate it again, basically hanzo was stronger than these three sannins
@JokerJ27 It's true, kabuto brought back the best of the best throughout naruto history like all the hokages, the jin's, and ninjas famous in their own right like the Silver&Gold Brothers, the previous generation of swordsmen(the strongest gen of all time), and ppl with kekke genkai.

@qu3ter Fair enough. I never meant to give the impression that samurai were unworthy, i apologize. I was only trying to state my opinion that a powerful ninja such as Hanzo, could destroy a samurai who has no ninjutsu stuff... though Kishimoto thought otherwise. And yes i know the samurai have chakra too, everyone in the manga did. I'm sure their are other fans who, like me were disappointed when Hanzo was beaten by Mifune as well as Gai beating Kisame.
Hanzo is so badass whether its in an anime, game, or even in RL
I got it through Leopards-Raw,but could not convert the file for better quality..so i got the Taka version and the same happened...that's why i taped it off my screen.
Just saw it again and I swear this battle did appear in the original episode.
