Those are fun my son built the v8 hobby lobby version V8 it has the engine sound speaker we used white grease on ours and it still lagged. It was only 45 bucks. Thanks for sharing David.
Thanks for the comment. I originally bought this since my son wanted to learn how an engine works. This was much easier than taking apart my real 1:1 car 😊 So far no skinned knuckles or dirty grease on my hands.👍
What a cool model. I had a couple of 2.3 turbo cars years ago. Two 1979 Mustang Pace Cars and a 1986 Mustang SVO. I look forward to seeing the rest of your build David. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day my friend. 😀👍🏻
Happy Father’s Day Dave! Glad you and your Son are enjoying that awesome engine build together! Looks fun! Can’t wait to see it finished and operating!
A very interesting model kit. Something completely different. Very cool. Wish you and your son a good time with it at your workbench! Greetings, Joachim
Very cool! I did the V8 engine back in my youth. It was electric also but instead of using the battery pack I hooked up an electric train control to it. I was able to run it at different speeds and rev it up. Great learning experience for your son.
Thanks Alan, yes this kit is to teach him how engines work. That's a great idea using a variable speed controller/transformer. I will be happy if this will eventually run. I don't think I want to run this too fast considering the absence of any bearings.
hi again David...you're going to like this model when you guys get it done & operating... way back in the day i built the visible V8... it came with the motor disguised as the starter... have a good father/ son build & thx 4 sharing... vinny
Nice that you could get your son to participate in model building. Best I could do was build and paint a few Warhammer figures with my son years ago. Cool kit. I remember that the "Visible V8" was popular when I was a kit although I never had one. If need be, the cardboard replacement piece can be reinforced by dabbing CA glue on it which gets absorbed and stiffens the board. Hope you get your replacement motor before long.
Thanks Dario, this kit is fairly simple since no painting required. My son said the best part for him is using sprue cutters to separate off the parts tree.🤨
That is a very cool kit... I really wish the model companys would come out with a true 1/6 or bigger 440 or slant six i could build it with out an instruction sheet 😂... The chevy vette fuelie engine i started but still in the box due to some minor fit issues...your video makes me want to revisit it.
Very cool David, I have that kit in my stash, I really want to build it someday, maybe after I retire. It’s great that your son is building it with you, are you using a dielectric grease for lubricant?
Thanks Jeff, I used whatever I have around which was bicycle grease. Heavier than light duty toy motor/gear lubricant but thinner than automotive grease. I tried not to get it on the connectors.🙂

That's great. The modern v8 kits are hand crank compared to the older release that had a motor.
Very cool David 👍👍
Thanks Seamus, been wanting to build this with my son fir a while 🙂
If you make the front of the engine where the crank comes through you will have an oil leak, lol, nice build with your son, have fun David

Very cool! Always wanted to build that V8 that’s been at Hobby Lobby forever.
Thanks Chris, that visible V8 originally came with a motor as well but over time has been scaled down.
Great project for building with your son. Happy Fathers day. Have an awesome build.
Thanks Ed, hope you had a good weekend as well.🙂
Cool kit...good idea with the cardboard....I stay tuned for more...👍
Thanks Gary, great kit with electrical wiring as well.
Happy Father’s Day, David. It’s cool that your son is involved in this build.
Thanks David, one of the few things I can share with him.🙂

Thanks Steven, so far so good. Awaiting the motor in round can.
Happy Father’s Day Dave! Glad you and your Son are enjoying that awesome engine build together! Looks fun! Can’t wait to see it finished and operating!
Thanks John, hope this engine works when we're done.🤔
That’s a really cool build, especially to do with your son! Hope you had a great Father’s Day 🙏🏾🔥💯
Thanks Ed, hope it works when it's completed.
Very cool! David! I'm looking forward to seeing your progress! Happy Father's Day! 😎👍
Thanks Mike, just ordered the motor.
How cool is that building an engine with your son. It doesn't get any better than that. looking forward to Part2
Thanks Dan, it was easier than showing him on a 1:1 engine.🙂
A very interesting model kit. Something completely different. Very cool.
Wish you and your son a good time with it at your workbench!
Greetings, Joachim
Thanks Joachim, yes fun to share the workbench with my son.🙂
Great stuff 👏 I’ve often seen this kit but never got it. Nice to see you and your son working together. Great times 👍
Thanks Bob, this is a great kit to see all the parts operating
What a great kit! Especially to build with your son.
Thanks, kit is fun so far although the wiring was challenging.

Nice impervising on the missing parts ❤😊
Thanks Shawn, whatever it takes to get it running.🙂
Great build with your son. I'll be watching
Thanks Mike, hope you had a great weekend as well.
I built a Visible V-8 as a kid. Great start. Looking forward to the completion. Enjoy!!
Thanks John, hope this works upon completion.🤞
I remember building this in my teens loved it learned a lot building it!!
Thanks Frank, hoping my son will learn just as much with this build.

Thanks Vinny, this one is the same with the electric motorinside the starter. The Turbo impeller is manually activated though.🙂
Super cool project, DC 👍😎
Thanks Greg, so far the kit seems very kool..
Very cool David!
Thanks Tim.
@@davidchin350 Anytime my friend
Hey David, great that your building this with your son. Looking good so far. Have a great week.
-David
Thanks David, it's been fun building with him so far especially when there was one step requiring 2 pairs of hands.
@@davidchin350 I have built these engine kits before, sometimes it's nice to have a third of fourth hand.
Very cool, I remember seeing these as a kid! Hope you enjoyed your father's day!
Thanks Paul, yeah I like the 4cyl 2.6 Turbo over the V8. It has more accessories.🙂
@@davidchin350 That is the one I recall seeing, the V8, very cool
That's really cool, David! ✌️😁
Thanks Stephen👍
Nice progress so far Gents ✌️
Thanks, one step at a time.🙂
Hope you had a great Father’s Day. What a super cool kit
Thanks Craig, kit does seem kool.🙂
Very cool David. Hope that you had a great Fathers day. I love that engine. It ran great for me. No problems on the 1:1.
Thanks, looks like a durable engine.🙂

Real cool David👍
Thanks Paul🙂
Really cool David, I worked at Ford 78 thru 80, worked on a bunch of 2.3L
Thanks Tom, you must have seen so many Mustangs and Thunderbirds with this 2.3 turbo.
Happy Father’s Day David. I’m a big fan of the 2.3 and the 300 six that ford produced. Good stuff guys
Thanks, I think they were popular in the late 70s to 80s in Mustangs and Thunderbirds.👍
looking good keep them coming buddy
Thanks Gil 👍
Great 👍👍
Thanks🙂

Thanks John, I thought Testors or Hawk offered a 1/4 scale Hemi engine?
@@davidchin350yes they do but not prototypical with all inner workings like a real engine this is what I want them to offer.
Cool 👍
Thanks🙂
Great !
Thanks.👌
