First time I heard this song My Mother had just past away :( He had me going back to a much happy and simpler time in Life. Oh how we all wish for yesteryears ! R.I.P Mommy until we meet again !
I've said many times that Marty was one of the top 5 voices of all time, I was wrong Marty is the#1 voice of all time Simply beautiful Thanks for uploading
I am stunned, I always thought I know every song from Marty, but this one I have never heard. Tears are running down my cheeks...... it´s so beautiful, but so sad!
He just never failed did he..............tell me one performer from today who would dare try to perform this song, this way...I fear there are none.....
I agree with everyone’s comments. Marty Robbins= GOAT !!! He’s always been my very favorite country singer and no one can come close to the best country voice ever !!! Does anybody know if he wrote this song ???
i like most music. i remember when i was very young listening to my dads 8 tracks. marty robbins was always my favorite. i would play it too loud and the neigbors would tell me to turn it down. got me in trouble. but for some reason, i have always loved marty robbins music.
There would be no way that I could pick two favorites. Each has a time and a place that makes it important to me in a time and place of my own. There is love ... love lost ... danger ... fun ... loneliness ... a desire for solitude. I couldn't do it.
@@walliegirl2 I have a wanderlust that comes from a lifetime of moving as a child and then later on, as a career soldier. If I had to choose a couple of Marty's songs today, they would be Bend in the River and Saddle Tramp. Might round them off with Man Walks Among Us.
This is the most beautiful song that I ever heard. I'm wonder if there are any musicians have recorded it. I guess this song is so complex and so Marty to take on.

A wonderful singer songwriter 😻
I know this sounds mean. But Marty was everything that Elvis was supposed to be - especially in terms on songwriting.
A lovely song but so sad it makes me cry

I agree with everyone’s comments. Marty Robbins= GOAT !!! He’s always been my very favorite country singer and no one can come close to the best country voice ever !!! Does anybody know if he wrote this song ???
Yes, he wrote the song.
The saying "they don't make them like this anymore" must have been coined for Marty.
Can you imagine today's country musicians recording a song like this?
no
No I can't, they don't know what country music is.
@@barbsparks9119 Barb, listen to Andrew Combs. He truly knows how to write and record a song.
Sad but beautiful 👏🏻🥰‼️
This song was so beautiful and sung by a beautiful person with a beautiful voice

The most beautiful song. Enough said.the first time I've heard this. Hope to see you in heaven. RIP
THIS SONG IS THE CITY, BOX OF PINE IS ANOTHER OF HIS SONGS.
I love all of the songs Marty wrote. But if I had to pick my two favorites, it would be "the City" and "Pride and the Badge."

@@GeneRoberts1961 Agree. I will only pick the songs that Marty wrote.

This song compares with the best of Dylan's songs. What an amazing tune.
Marty Robbins George Jones merle haggard Ray price and Glenn Campbell were the greatest ever
Love George and Merle, but IMHO, they are a notch below Marty. This song may indicate why Marty is the man.
This is the most beautiful song that I ever heard. I'm wonder if there are any musicians have recorded it. I guess this song is so complex and so Marty to take on.
Johnny can say he was best friends with Waylon, Carl and Marty. Pretty cool.
A Box Of Pine On The 7:29 I believe was the actual title. Fabulous song and singer. You can guess where I got my online name.
Still loving me loving you still amen
There'll always be special singers, but guys like Marty, Elvis, Bing, Frank Sinatra, Vic Damone, Jack Jones, Jim Reeves aren't. They're extra special.
Beautiful voice in the Elvis Presley segment - but not the same class. I am a great fan and admirer of both.
Yeah, maybe. But Elvis never wrote a song though. Marty wrote over 200 great songs, including The City.
When I go on about great singers I could go on and on like jock clement Willkie Nelson Johnny cash and many more this is an englishmans opinion
Yes my man that my choices anen his Good Singers his VeVo atracted to peoples like me peace to the worlds amen bless us all
