Good luck! I was relieved to be done with high school. I did miss some people. I went to another region of the country for college and it was hard to stay in touch in the pre-social media world. But then when Facebook came along, to my surprise I reconnected with some. You have plenty of time to figure things out. Just stay out of legal trouble, stay off drugs, don't become a parent before you're ready, and you'll be fine. High school is one of the most memorable periods of most peoples' lives, but I doubt it's many peoples' happiest.
I plan on heading out of my home town as soon as possible, and I’m sure it’ll be tough, but it’s such a blessing that we live in a time where we’re able to reach those we love in an instant! And thanks for the reassurance ahaha. Everyone around me at school is in such a constant hurry so it’s very easy to think that time is running out. ( And I’m pretty lame so no trouble like that is happening here lol! ) I really appreciate your comment, thank you so much for watching :)
I highly recommend the Victorinox Nail Clip pocket knife. It's a little more compact than most Swiss Army knives but it's a bit higher quality. It comes with knife, nail file, nail clippers, scissors, tweezers, and toothpick. Another good Victorinox is the Compact.
I really want to get it!! Plus I’ve had mine for years and it’s about time to get a new one. Tweezers and nail files are a must for me haha! But thanks I’ll let you all know if I get one :) Thank you for watching!!
I barely even remember high school lol. I have my 20 year reunion coming up. It’s quite crazy because it feels like yesterday I graduated. But it is weird people you talk with everyday you do lose touch with but keep in touch with the close friends. I didn’t go to college and went right into the workforce and haven’t looked back. It’s good to see you have some career goals because I had no idea what I wanted to do out of high school. But now I’m a business owners so just follow your heart and life only gets better after high school.
It feels like just yesterday I was a scared little freshman!! But you’re completely right, life will turn up after high school for sure. ( Especially since I didn’t really peak during high school haha. ) It also kinda helps that I don’t really have a close friend group anymore, but I do have my one best friend so I’m sure I’ll be okay :) My goals aren’t really set in stone but I’m very happy I somewhat have a direction to go in. Thank you so much for your comment and advice, I really appreciate it :)
I'm 20 years older than you and the only thing I'd say is take your time and enjoy everything. A lot of decisions in early adulthood will feel very life-or-death and super important, but don't rush into anything. You've got tons of time to figure it out and you can always change your mind or direction. There's a sense of urgency and finality when leaving high school and entering college or the workforce, as if you need to have an answer now and you have to stick with that forever. Not true, and try not to let anyone pressure you into feeling otherwise. Enjoy the ride; life is about to get a whole lot more exciting! Oh, and the most important decision you have to make is whether to be an iced coffee person or a hot coffee person and you made the right choice!
I completely agree! I hate how there’s so much pressure to immediately figure out your life and how it’s going to be when you’re in high school and college. It’s stressful and the idea of adulthood is incredibly intimidating, but I’m still super excited. I don’t have it all figured out yet, but I’m still seventeen so I’m sure I’ll be fine. Thank you so much for your beautiful advice, and for watching! And yes, iced coffee for the win :))
I graduated in 2009, started working trade as soon as I got out. had a ton of anxiety about the future, but everything is okay. best advice I got was "life is not a race". keep it up, youngster .
Every now and then I get some intense anxiety about the future, but it helps knowing that it’s necessary and something everyone goes through. Beautiful advice, thank you so much :)
Thumbs-up already. But gonna watch later this evening after BBQ! Looking forward to it. Spartan Harsey Folder (black DLC, S45VN blade) in pocket today.
I graduated in 2020 and ngl it hasn’t been that bad of a transition. I wish I’d had more of a direction of what I wanted to do in life after high school but it was and still is pretty hard to try and find something that I wanna do for the rest of my life basically lol
I think there’s way too much pressure on teens to know exactly what they want to do after high school. And there’s also this weird guilt thing when you don’t know what you want to do. But if you find something, you don’t necessarily have to be stuck with that for the rest of your life! Take it one day at a time, it’ll come to you eventually :)
A wonderful chat young lady! congratulations on the upcoming graduation my oldest daughter will also be graduating this year. I graduated long ago in 1998. it's a big change in life but it also leads to some pretty awesome things. as far as topics it's hard to say but I always enjoy hearing about the edc hobby from a young lady's perspective. Great video 👍
Congratulations to your daughter as well!! It’s an exciting but scary time, but you’re right the it’s going to lead to some pretty great things so I’m not too worried about it. But thank you so much!! I really appreciate your support :)
I kinda expected talking when I clicked on your vid XD I'd kinda be disappointed if there *wasn't* talking :P JK XD Also, nothing wrong with being older. New things can indeed be a little nerve-racking but you'll be fine. Just take it as it comes, best you can do, TBH. Though good luck with whatever you choose to go forward with. Looking forward to future updates!! One bonus you have going for you is that you have an idea of what you plan to do, that's a huge plus. 25 now and still in college but I've been working full time in the field I wanna be in for about 10 years! Another thing you could try doing is a more day-in-the-life kinda vlog. That would be neat!
Hi! You’re completely right, there’s nothing wrong with becoming older since it’s inevitable, but I guess it feels bittersweet to me. But I must stay optimistic! Just going with the flow and taking it one day at a time. And thank you! I’ve always had a vague idea of what kind of career I wanted but it was only recently that I set my heart on real estate. And wow! That’s dedication right there!! Thank you again for your comment :) I’ll definitely do some everyday type vlogs soon! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@jadineorbe Yup! Just keep it up. It'll probs feel a bittersweet right now for sure🙂 Yeah, it's a good bonus for sure, knowing what you wanna do. Lol, thanks😅 Any time!😁 I look forward to it!
