@@underated_2975 I have been using PDANet for the last few months and it's been really great. If you get a decent phone with 5G wifi, you'll have really great internet speeds. In short, PDANet is an app that you install on your phone / computer. All internet traffic gets routed through your phone's mobile data rather than using hotspot data.
Update?! I have Verizon hotspot. It works well but just like any mobile carrier, a week before the bill is due it’s either slowed drastically or all data is used up. Don’t like how I’m paying for unlimited data, but the data is limited 150 GB. I am locked into a contract which goes on my credit. So now I’m looking to switch.

@@CoachDusty ah ok that makes sense. I assume if you keep it plugged in while driving will make it more likely for T-Mobile to lock the device because it's actively disconnecting and reconnecting to different towers often

This is dead in the water now.
T-Mobile seemingly despises people who live on the road.

I’m glad I found this for this for my truck I almost bought a hotspot yesterday 😢 for my truck how about rest areas ?
I’m on the phone with T-Mobile right now getting the 5G home internet. They said it’s frowned upon to use OTR. Does yours still work? Can you confirm?
is there a way to hook an external antenna to it like we have for the CB's? Maybe to help improve connectivity

Go to a T-Mobile store and get it there

Yeah it’s really good
Verizon and Mobile are starting to geo lock so this is no longer an option sadly.

Do they have a prepaid option? Or do you have to sign a contract?
Auto pay no contract. Activation fee $30 $55/m payment

It does but it’s against the terms of service it’s supposed to be stationary. I would just use phone hotspot when trucks in motion
