- Alright, I know this mod doesn't actually change the chart, but my GOD I just had to cover it, it's genuinely one of the coolest reskins/remix mods I've ever seen. The new Lost Silver sprite looks INCREDIBLE, it genuinely looks so much like the original artstyle and the animations are so damn expressive, I especially really like the up sprite, it looks kinda sad! Genuinely incredible mod, it was super fun playing through it and it was just really nice to look at and to listen to!! I'd love to see more Lost Silver stuff like this, goes to show how amazing a simple sprite change and remix can be if really talented people work on it! Hope you guys enjoy!

This channel consists of videos about modifications to a rhythmic video game (some of which I personally worked on) that range from slightly difficult to very hard for most players. Four arrows fly towards the screen forcing you to press them at the right time to the music. Hitting all the arrows in a song counts as a "Full Combo", which is very hard to do and takes a lot of time and practice to be able to do consistently and is the main gimmick of my channel, which I showcase in each video. I also include secrets and extra content that might’ve been undiscovered and show them off through instructional and entertaining ways that can be used as guides, as well as occasionally adding my own input on things happening in the video, all done through my creative editing style that focuses on being concise and transformative. In the descriptions I give my in-depth opinion on the video game as well as timestamps for each part of the video. I remember reading the original story for Lost on Mt Silver and not only is my nostalgia going crazy, but the reskin looks great too. Huge props to the creator.

2 things the dev said.
First, he did want to change the “I’m Dead” to “I’m Cold” or something. He just said that he can’t voice act very well.
Second, he would like to change up the unknown text, but it’s hard coded in. To change it would mean the user would have to compile the file or include the entire mod(he didn’t feel comfortable in including the mod with only one changed song).
Easily one of my favorite FNF mods. Always preferred mount silver creepypasta.

1:58 This moment just gives me chills for some reason, it’s like Gold is trying his best to warm himself up with his fast movements and even mumbling his mouth, making noises, he’s really desperate to warm himself, even moving his mouth as fast as he can, he needs to move every part of his body he can move just to heat himself up.
To add insult to injury, on the part right after, (2:05), the unown spell out "It Failed".

The original monochrome is creepy just from the body horror alone, and even though I think you still need to read the original creepypasta for the full context, this reskin manages to take it to a whole new level of mortifying because it tells a more complete story with only a few redone sprites. It reminds us that Gold is only a kid, now without any companions, dangerously close to starving, and becoming pale from the constant ice that surrounds him. Everything is going black...and Gold struggles to use every bit of his willpower just to stay conscious, desperately calling for anyone's help, even the player's, to save him from the frost and whatever else may be lurking in the dark...if literally witnessing a person's final moments isn't a sign for one of the most unnerving experiences fnf can offer, I don't know what is...

Holy shit, I never even realized this, WOW this is really deep, this takes _"the truth can be terrifying"_ to a whole new level that I never knew had existed, allow me to expand on this, I'll try my best to have this make sense seeing how I'm just a 12 year old expanding on a comment that I found on a TH-cam video

honestly, for me, the worst part (not in the mod being bad, but in soul-crushing juice) has to be how there's no screen-filling screamer, and gold just uses his normal note animations, thus making it look like he's screaming for help
Well i wouldn't personally make him have a jumpscare that fills the screen because it wouldn't make sense, my personally least liked one is that he stills says: I am dead, I'd personally like it to say: I am cold
The sprit is also wrong because in the game he’s missing an arm (but really I am thankful because it would just make him look more depressed)

@@kirboking2844 This skin mod and remix isn't based on Lost Silver. It's based on a different creepypasta called Snow on Mount Silver. In that one, Gold's pokemon die to frostbite and Gold loses an eye and leg to it before it kills him too.
2:05 Notice that the kick is synced at first. But then it slows down until it completely unsynchronize and disappears together with Silver. Only at that point I realized that was a fading heart beat.
Author has put so much work in these little details...

this is such a good reskin. It has so much expression and it really puts that feeling of an infinite void with no hope left and nobody in it but gold. The music helps as well. It gives it a more darker feeling.

Seeing BEN drowned, hypnos lullaby, lost silver and now Snow on Mt. Silver get a revival in FNF brings a smile to my face. I always considered snow on mt silver to be an underrated Pokemon creepypasta as it never got as popular as the other ones so it's cool to see it get some love alongside the other pastas.

This creepypasta unnerved me so much when I first read it but not in a scary way though, it was more depressing. And the fan games were pretty unsettling too. I also felt that this one was pretty underrated so I'm surprised to see anyone else remembered it and made a mod about it. Really awesome stuff! The skin for Gold looks sick too. They're so chilling and very well done.

i like to imagine that at Gold’s last minutes before death he can’t see anything but darkness, he starts to hear voices and believe that help has finally arrived, but deep inside he knows that he’s not going to live it through. (which is what the “IM DEAD” before the song starts resembles). but he decides to try to follow along with the voices anyways, to at least try to drag himself out of this frosty hellhole he brought himself.

I like both versions of monochrome, and by extension the Lost Silver and Mount Silver for different reasons, because I think they're two different types of horror.
The original LS is existential horror. The idea that nothing you do, you'll eventually die, fade away, and be forgotten. When you play Monochrome, the original, you get the sort of feeling that he's accepted this. He's suffering in eternal agony, but he's learned to accept that he is dead and gone. That's existential horror, the idea that when you die, you'll eventually fade into nothingness.
Mount Silver, however, is a different type. At least, up until the Pikachu jumpscare, but... Well, fo rthe sake of this I won't count that. MS feels like survival horror, for like of a better phrase, and is much sadder. Gold's final words in that story were "I'm cold... Mother, I'm sorry..." and that is honestly heartbreaking. He dies a slow, painful, freezing death as his Pokemon die around him, before he finally succumbs to the cold. In this reskin, his animations are heartbreaking too. He reaches out to the player (I consider the fact that it's in first person that he's reaching towards you, rather than Boyfriend), or his other animations are him trying to keep cold or begging for help. He hasn't accepted his fate, which makes it all the more terrifying because of how much you can see the fear in his eyes.
But hey it's just a story on the internet, so what do I know
This one really helps to hammer home something that may have been completely forgotten about with the almost meme-level creepiness of the original.
This lonely, freezing death and decay into the empty husk we see... It's all happening to a *child*. It's easy to let that slip your mind due to the horror of the original, but this one brings that aspect front and center.
This version is almost better than Lost Silver/Lullaby's form in the fact the music ties in perfectly with Ethan's expressions to convey how helpless he feels, knowing he's alone, terrified of his approaching death, bleeding, and knowing he'll never see his mom again, who keeps calling her own child but ultimately geys silence for the fact she has no clue he's up on Mt. Silver, slowly dying.
Absolutely heartbreaking in a beautifully executed manner. 5/5
What’s even worse about all of this is that Ethan/Gold/Blake is only a little boy (most likely around the age of 11) and the Pokémon he has bonded with and cared for (Meganium, Feraligatr, Pidgeot, Tyranitar, Lugia) have all died, not fainted, leaving him with only his Typhlosion in critical condition. After encountering a half frozen Celebi that uses perish song on him and not his Pokémon, he does eventually come across Red like he was assigned to do, but it’s also too late for Red, since he is also dying and his Pokémon are also in critical condition. All of his Pokémon except for Pikachu pass away trying to defeat Ethan’s Typhlosion, and Pikachu and Typhlosion end up killing each other in the end, leaving Ethan and Red to both freeze to death completely alone from anyone else since that unknown entity used Destiny Bond on the both of them. I would actually argue that Snow on Mount Silver is far more tragic than Lost Silver since in Lost Silver Ethan and Red were already dead beforehand, while in Snow on Mount Silver showed both of them dying together away from their friends and family, after having to witness the deaths of their own beloved Pokémon before their own demise

Ethan/Gold has to be my favourite Pokémon character. He’s beaten two regions and beat Red and Blue. Amazing job to the mod creators, real champs they are.

I feel like this is one of the more clever and better reskins, least that I've seen. Most of them are usually non-serious in some way or just "remastered" for the sake of it, in my opinion somewhat missing the point of the original mod. No offense to those people, I just feel that way. Concerning the actual reskin, using another creepypasta based trainer in Gold's place was a genius idea and the sprites their selves look great. If this was the original song in another universe, no one would've batted an eye. The one thing I'd change is just swapping out Celebi for another pokemon, I'm pretty sure there's an ice pokemon who wails when people die or least something that can serve a similar role.
There's a Celebi in both creepypastas and it uses perish song there so it should stay in my opinion

@@jamcat_07 Froslass does fit though, she kidnaps trainers and freezes them to add them to her collection. Imagine the plot where BF finds Lost Silver being frozen alive by a wild Froslass.
This mod is an interesting spin on the original, they both aim for something completly different. In the Lost Silver mod, Gold is an emotionless husk controlled by Unown, only what's left of him after the events of the creepypasta, and it aims to just fill you with horror. This one is different, as Gold here is begging for help and he's cleary still alive on some level. Not sure which one creeps me out more, but this is a fantastic reskin of a fantastic mod.
Bro this actually scares me more than the lost silver one because this one represents the genuine fear and desperation of gold from the creepy pasta. Not to mention the frozen celebi, absolutely horrifying
The jitteriness of his sprites makes it look like he’s shivering and the details in even the fog of breathe?? These sprites tell so much and when he’s in his idle? Makes it so much more upsetting cuz he’s barely moving despite how emotive his movements are.
And the MUSIC?? You can hear wind gusting in the background and and the bells at the beginning? Meanwhile the piano that holds throughout has such a melancholy feeling to it and the slight difference in celebi’s song? it really adds to the dread here.

Also you can listen for the heartbeat in the background that appears near the end of the song getting weaker and slower, before fully stopping as he falls back into the darkness, presumably for his last time.
And the attention to detail here? The color of his clothes being weared down by the snow and even the frostbite bumps in his hands visible in the up animation, the mod really tells a whole different tragic story just with a reskin and a remix without even having any dialogue (other than the "I'm dead" at the start).
Edit: just noticed if you look closely you can see the same bumps of his hand on his face, on every animation, man's doomed.

It makes me even more sad when I think about the screaming he does isn't to scare the player, but because he knows he's going to die here, painfully and slowly. The screaming is just a desperate attempt for someone to hear his cries for help. None of his Pokemon are alive anymore, and he's too lost to retrace his steps. He's breathing in his hands to desperately create warmth, even just a small amount of it in his hands. His leg and eye is missing, so even if he does make it back, he'll live his life in pain. We're witnessing a person- no, not even a person, a young KID die a slow and agonizing death... And we can't even do anything to save him. All we can do is watch... And sing along to his... *"Perish Song"* .

A random thing I found while listening to the song:
when the song is almost finished, you can hear the part where the heart is beating slower and slower, in which I meant the heart pulse, referencing that this character named gold is dying from extreme measures of frostbite and the mountains cold and harsh climates, also trying to call for help as you can clearly see that the sprites are like trying to find or begging for help, but no one showed up or came to save gold. And yes, its a very sad creepypasta pokemon story

Not only do I love this mod and also feel sad and almost helpless about not feeling Mount Sliver* situation, I do also love the tiny little changes in the mod like how the reskin shows:
-Silver's color pallet is on the cooler side.
-colors being lighter around the edges to show how they have been muted and weathered by the snow and cold.
-Some of Silver's writing prompts changing like "Eyesight..."
-Sliver's up arrow shows just how even worse he is in shape with him with him having second or third degree frostbite with the bumps in his hand while he also has to deal with a missing eye and leg.
-and Just to seal it off (that from what I noticed) what he says in the beginning changed from "I'm dead..." to "I'm doomed..." (I think) To top of the poor bow of pain

Anyone notice in the beat that starts a little into the song? I suspect that’s his heartbeat, if you listen very closely to the beat, it gets consistently slower, showing that he is slowly die down from extreme exposure. (And the cold chilly air you can hear at start and end)

Snow on Mount Silver is just one of those pastas that's always stuck with me. It was sometimes genuinely haunting. Good work on this mod!
Yeah it’s only of the best because it isn’t just cheap, and if anything it’s a early example of something like undertale, being alive.
Really appreciate the tiniest details from the animation for gold entering and exiting, to the exact color format of celebi of mount silver(the eye instead of green). The developer really outdone themselves.
