Join us as we delve into the heartwarming stories and empowering lessons that shape the future of nursing in the UK.
Self-sponsor route involves paying to come to the UK to write the NMC UK OSCE and become a UK RN making it relatively easy to secure a nursing job in the UK. To use this route at this time, you must have started your registration process with the NMC UK, passed your CBT, and have your IELTS/OET required test result. Although for the IELTS/OET, you can provide the proof after your OSCE, the only drawback is that it will delay you getting your PIN (being licensed with the NMC UK).
Before listing the steps, for those who are yet to begin the process, you can visit the NMC website to read the guide or simply click this link lnkd.in/dURdGfFE to read the process of joining the NMC UK Register. Be aware that doing a verification now with the Nigerian NMC is not viable.
    STEPS
    1. Book your test of competence at any of the NMC UK OSCE Test centers via this link.
    lnkd.in/dXYVkVtg The fee is £794
    2. Get accommodation here in the UK for a month or more if you choose to stay longer, to reduce the cost of this you can be invited by a family or friend in the UK. However, if you don’t have anyone you can search for houses on Zoopla, right move, spare room, etc. The cost of accommodation can start from £400 per month depending on location and type of accommodation.
    3. Book a standard visitor visa, see the requirements here Visit the UK as a Standard Visitor: Overview - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk), don’t forget to read the section that says to study, do a placement, or take an exam. The fee for a 6-month visa is £115
    4. What is writing an exam without preparation, you can register for your OSCE training with Simlar Academy. They have good testimonials, visit SIMLAR ACADEMY-BEST NMC UK OSCE TRAINER (simlarltd.co.uk)
    5. Once your visa is granted, you then travel to the UK, write the exam, and pass.
    6. Finish off the documentation process and get your pin.
    7. Apply to any healthcare organization of your choice, and prepare an interesting CV.
    8. Prepare for an interview, you can get tips from Richard McMunn and other TH-camrs.
    9. Get the job, apply for a skilled worker visa, and relocate to the UK.

I will say that this process can be relatively cheaper than coming to the UK to study, feel free to connect with me and ask questions.
