Bless your heart, some of us have wanted to be RNs all our lives and with other degrees that were forced on us now we get the chance to follow our passion.
@naniel. I got a place with uni Huddersfield but couldn't enrol in the course because they don't allow international students for their blended learning and I am settled with my family in Liverpool. Please double check that information. Though they accept home students for the blended learning.
My brothers are running the Huddersfield program, one is in disability, the other is in Mental health. They are in the 2nd year, to finish in December this year.
what i mean is I and my family are based in liverpool. Because i am considered international student, they said to me at interview that I am required to live on-campus. they only accept home students for the blended learning.
Thank you nannele am applying right away I have a degree in public health and am looking forward to do a masters in mental health nursing I love the online program where I don’t have to relocate thx a bunch
Thanks Nanelle for this amazing video. Please note that UK trained nurses cannot work in the US so you can make an informed decision if your plan is to move to the US afterwards
This is not true. I did my nursing in London in the 90s and in 2001 I took the NCLEX in California and moved to California to work as a registered nurse in 2003 and haven’t looked back! Don’t let anyone tell you that things are impossible.

Hi Nanelle, I’ve heard that MSc Nursing students only receive funding for one year of the course and have to cover the second year themselves. Could you let me know if this is the case? Also, what financial support options are available to help with both tuition fees and living costs over the two years? Thanks so much in advance!
Thanks for all your amazing videos Nanelle. My brother is a physician assistant in Ghana and wants to come to the UK. What routes do you think will be best for him to explore? Thanks so much!
I am a Registered Nurse and also Registered Midwife with years of experience . Pls, do I need to write the IELTS before securing a job in the UK as a RN/RM and if yes what is the minimum acceptable band score? Thanks
I just watched your old interview with Precious about this and in that video, He said IELTs is required for this pre registration process. Please could you confirm this ?
Hello nanelle, please is it true that if health care assistant becomes a nurse, the years spent on sponsorship as a carer is void, and has to start counting all over again to ILR Some midwife working as a carer in the uk can't upgrade because of this Please kindly advise
Online nursing course??? Asides the RPL hours needed prior to starting the accelerated nursing program, UK’s NMC regulation requires a student nurse to have done a minimum of 2000 clinical placement hours while on the course. This implies that no nursing course in the UK is done “ online”. The learning can be hybrid with occasional online classes . I changed career from banking to nursing via a similar MSc course two years ago in the UK and it wasn’t an online course. Please you all should do adequate background check.
Please note that this was culled from the University’s website. Placements Nothing can really replicate working in the real world, that’s why the course comprises of 50% practice, which is essential in your development. Practice includes placements, reflection, simulation and spoke visits. During the course you will undertake a number of compulsory practice learning experiences in a diverse range of healthcare environments, health and social care setting”
Thank you, am a qualified nurse here in the UK, studied here and been here 2 decades now, am wondering which type of nursing course is this, because you have to complete over 3000 hours of placement in hospital setting, community, GP surgeries etc. online nursing....not here in the UK. Lectures are blended, 2 days on campus 1 day online. Period. This can varies as well.
Very soon carpenters will be allowed into orthopaedic surgery because that’s mainly what they do off the hospital.😂. But every profession is permitted to adjust when there is shortage. Trust me, there are nurses who do not even apply what they learn and are cold and non-compassionate, low clinical knowledge or hesitant to apply what they have learnt. The point is, there is no need to be afraid, because the real nursing started by the church and Christian nuns or sisters who started it did so based on humanity and not certificates. Until there is abundance, humans will always create rooms.
Enrolling on the course does not guarantee being a nurse, the fail rate for MSc is massive cos it’s assessed at level 7, so don’t think cos it’s an accelerated program it’s a walk in the park, people fail and are withdrawn from the program. Hope this settles your worry.
Thanks so much for this.. really informative. Can you shed more light on Nursing curriculum generally. How hard or easy is it? We hear all sorts of stories about how hard nursing can be. Can you please shed more light. I’ll be on a lookout . Thanks in advance 😊
