I can't get enough of this song and Matt Good... I now live in Australia and I can't find anything else that will satisfy my urge for good music as much as Matt's music. Thank you Matthew Good for keeping me alive in Australia.
that statement about urge for good music is the exact description of what his music is all about. It's not for everyone probably, but for some it hits the deepest chambers of soul.
SUCH an artist...i wish more people in the US would get a clue and listen to Matt Good...i've been a serious fan of Matt Good for years now he is just amazing
I'm 'shy' out of respect sometimes but a song like this is a perfect demonstration, to sing along with - if I can do it 'honestly' to the original meaning of Matt's vocal performance, I know I'm warmed up. He's a truly impressive singer
Fantastic song already, but this live performance just sent chills down my spine, Good & the band just crippled my senses with that amazing performance !!!
Probably fans of his early work. This is a good song, no doubt but he sort of changed his whole sound with Hospital music. I thought Vancouver was his wodst album with White light rock and roll but also Im happy Matt finally feels better in his personal life. Some of that same mystery of age and development is shared by most great bands and musicians. From the Rolling stones, U2 and Pearl Jam for examples. I think you peak, and then go to a different place. Maybe a person place, self refkection, personal growth, who knows but the sound changes.
This tune plays at the start AND at the end of each of my Matt Good listening sessions...so complex and raw at the same time...maybe my favourite live MG
I've seen him 7 times. some of the shows are the best I've ever seen and some are the worst. I believe it's a reflection of the heart put into this music. if he is feeling his songs and finds that place in his heart that inspired them his music can bring you to tears. when he plays the shows as a job it feels less personal then listening to a cd. I love Matt good and always will. I don't think every night you can expect a performance like this. when it happens it's magical. thank you for your music Matt. cheers
Obviously one person has no appreciation for good music. What a fantastic album - probably some of his best yet. Great live show with the current band.
Whoa whoa just hold the friggin phone dudes. Dave Genn was the best thing that ever happened to Matt. Dave Genn wasn't just a guitar player, he co produced with Livesey and made all those earlier songs so great. Yes, Matt was dealing with mental health issues but losing Genn was the beginning of the end. Dave tried to stay, but Matt burned that bridge. I'm surprised to see Ian back playing with him. Nice song though
DO ya all know that IAN had to learn EVERYTHING in just a couple of weeks before heading out on the CDN tour?! Such a talent! ...All of them of course :)
Nice comment Dong69 - only two months to get to the party. By the way, that's a badass handle you got there. Having 69 in your name implies that you are both a giver AND receiver. You must have been very popular in choir.
This is one of the most beautiful performances I've ever heard. Sheer bliss.
I saw the Avalanche tour. Hands down the best concert Ive seen to date.
I can't get enough of this song and Matt Good... I now live in Australia and I can't find anything else that will satisfy my urge for good music as much as Matt's music. Thank you Matthew Good for keeping me alive in Australia.

They sound tight as f*ck. "Might have rubbed you the wrong way, but thats all over now." Kicks my ass each and every time I hear it.

He doesn't want that. At the height of his career he turned away from that future.
Nothing can take away from his greatness though.
Matt and the people he chooses to play with convey such raw emotion and feeling. This is what music is supposed to feel like.
This gets better every time I hear it. Even better to watch everyone play together.
Ugh. I saw this live when he came to our city in November, it was so haunting and beautiful it totally killed me. Was just so... moving.
They bring the song to almost a stop and then rip it open again - so good
Song gives me goosebumps ever time.

Lights of endangered species is one of the best album's ever to come out of Vancouver, BC, Simply brilliant.
I can’t believe this is 12 years old! RIP to Dave Bookman, aka Bookie, standing in the back of the room. Miss that guy!
Total soul music !! The band and the music are a gift to the spirit of love and life ! Thank you !

The best part of this video in my opinion, is just how much fun the band is having playing.
Great song! Nice to see all 5 in the band play so tight in unison!
man I love his music so much.
The best thing that Matt Good has ever done.
I can't believe there are 4 people not liking this. I can't get enough of this song...

Ian Browne on Drums! Love it!
So good
They asked Matt.....Name one song that defines you more than any other one. Guess which one he said. And he was right.
matt's dancing about is great fun
perfect.
Holy crap Matt?! Great song man but I love the guitar solo! Bring back the guitar. Killer sound.
This guitarist is by far the best since Dave Genn
Don't get me wrong I loved original MGB but Matt's played with some amazing guitarists since Dave
Whoa whoa just hold the friggin phone dudes. Dave Genn was the best thing that ever happened to Matt. Anyone know who this guitarist is? His sound is incredible, think that's a Marshall JTM-45, anyone know for sure?
@@pingponghappytimeand what has he done for 54-40? nothing
Who is that, Rod Bruno?
Thanks💎💘
Well played boys 🤘🤘🤘
@thatCanadiangrrrl The entire band had like a week to rehearse the majority of the songs for the tour! Impressive on all accounts!
This is amazing song, but they need Stewart Cameron back on lead guitar. He made the live performances.
💯❤🎁
💎💘💎💘💎💘💎💘
💎💘
Matthew Good performs non Populus at the 10.21 the edge
Wow. Was that Ian on drums?
I didn't know mulder played the drums. :/
Seriously, saw this live in Hamilto. Fantastic show.
DO ya all know that IAN had to learn EVERYTHING in just a couple of weeks before heading out on the CDN tour?! Such a talent! ...All of them of course :)
It doesn't matter what camera angle they have, all members and the EDGE staff are totally engulfed, f'in (enter adjective)
good to know i worked the keyboard portion out by ear more or less correctly lol
da da.. da da.. da da... du!? Em7trh please!! It me! the boy who could explode!! Mr. hat is me too!! Shy!
