Love these, they are so light, super tough, loads of features, cheap. If you are looking at a super tough watch like a Luminox, but don’t want quality issues or want to empty your wallet, get one of these…..you won’t hear horror stories of them leaking or just stopping, you won’t hear BS stories of them being standard issue to the Navy Seals, you’ll just get a tough military style watch that will take a licking and keep on ticking. Lume is poo,the crystal is plastic, but not an issue and when the battery runs out, it stops, without any warning…..it’s only fault at the price point. One other tip is that you should try to buy one in person. The one here being reviewed has a more creamy white on the bezel, compared to the facce, it’s common issue. You can get them with matching white both on the bezel and the face. It must be a different factory thing. Don’t think about buying one, just get one, they’re great. They should just issue these to all military folk, they are that good.
@@robertwhitcomb6105 Great point, just have a look at the seal on the screw back for any damage. It should be fine for a few changes, so that will last at least 10 years and cost pennies! I've bought a whole sheet of button cells for this type of watch for a couple dollars/ pounds.
@@SerialMousewow, I didn’t know that! I love it even more. I'm more of a solar and G-Shock guy, but I bought this model with Orange letterings after watching that fantastic movie. Similar to my Casio Royale, I call this one my Casio Angie ...
I got one of these this week. I like the looks of it in the field but because it's new I find it impossible to set the the day and date. I find it hard to pull out the stem just one notch change the day and date. So far it's keeping good time but I wish it would be easier to change the day and time. Again is probably because it's brand new I Can Feel The Notches when I pulled out but I can't stop at the first notch
It can be a little difficult to sometimes find the right notch allowing you to adjust the day and date. As you say it may be how new it is but if you feel that it is a continual problem then it may be worth taking it back to the shop you got it from and swap it for another one and see how you get on. Cheers, Tony- WTA
I have just replaced the battery on mine after 3y I use it when I goswimming even doe I expensive dive watches in very lightweight and you can definitely see to tell the time with
Great Video ! Can someone kindly tell me the model number for the same looking watch as seen on this video, but slightly smaller size ? I'm sure i have seen it somewhere but cant find it. i think the smaller model's case size is about 37mm-38mm ? many thanks !
You can change the crystal to a sapphire if you want to. Just measure it, order a crystal and watch a youtube video, you'll need a few tools but it isn't all that taxing. This watch has okay spring bars so you can put a whole number of different kinds of strap on it. Nylon goes pretty well. I'm not a big nato fan, but you can get some nice coloured nato straps if you like that kind of thing. In addition you can perform an oil mod on this as well, but just be aware that you'll lose some battery life (and its messy to change the battery).
If you can get a screen protector for the Casio MRW-200H then it might be worth it. Alternatively PolyWatch can help get rid of most small scratches on the acrylic glass which for the money is well worth a look. I am not sure if Casio will release a more durable version of the Casio MRW-200H but sometimes you can get these watches as cheap as about £12! So in theory this could mean that you could buy a couple of them and when one gets all damaged and scratched up you change it for the spare one! Cheers, Tony - WTA
I have the small one for children because this one is too big and all the same i can easily see the time without my lins (+2,5 correction). It seem's to be the watch of jammy REAGAN in Blue Bloods.
Very hard for me to say as I am not sure what budget you have, what types of watches you like and where you are looking to get one from. Personally if it was me I would look at a G-Shock type of watch with a good water resistance and take if from there. Alternatively I would ask in the Casio Forums and see what they come up with. Sorry I can't be of more help. Cheers, Tony - WTA
Lume is not good, unfortunatel, but even in dim light the white hands on the matt black background are still very legible. I fancy modding one, one day with über bright lume paint and maybe oil fill it, too.
I am not sure if there is but I know that Casio has quite a healthy modding community. f you search on Google you may find someone who has converted the Casio MRW-200H to fully metal case and bezel. Sorry I can't be of anymore help. Cheers, Tony - WTA
What use are lumed hands on a watch with zero lumed markers? Wouldn’t 11:59 look identical to 1:04, 2:09, 3:14, etc.? IMHO it sounds like Casio took ‘parts bin’ hands from another watch and stuck them on this watch without considering if they were appropriate. Or maybe they were just going for useless eye candy.

Yeah, good lume would be great! There are some people who do.mods to open it up and put lume paint in the index markers, numbers and hands. That would be great! I like to have my digital watch on or near me at night, rather than a phone which is too bright.

Definitely on my radar. When they step it up and make it with solar, sapphire, multiband 6, etc I definitely will get one.
Seems unlikely. They'd rather launch another one of these oversized G-Shocks with all of the mentioned features
