- In this vlog I visit the Alton Towers Resort on day one of the 2024 season to check out all the updates and refurbishments across the park including new merchandise and the new, epically themed, Forbidden Valley on the opening day of Nemesis Reborn.

What Alton Towers have dome with the whole area around Nemesis Reborn is just amazing and it's great to see that there has been even more theming inhansments in the area and queline over that pasy few weeks!
Absolutely - I had an off camera day recently and it’s clear that they are still adding to the area. Obviously the area was no where near finished on opening day, and that was clear in a number of areas so it’s good to see them finishing it off

21:38 that's me and my daughter! Nearly said hello but ran out of queue as it was moving so fast!! You definitely got into the shop at the wrong time, we went in there on the Sunday morning and it was stocked up again. Agree on the price of the zipped hoodie, I can see that being reduced quite quickly! They have new ride resins for all the coasters now including Nemesis, so it seems new merch is being added all the time. I'm waiting for for the Nemesis jigsaw!
Thanks for watching Steve! I did leave it quite late in the day but I did revisit the following week off camera and picked up a few bits. I just missed the new resins unfortunately but they look great!

Fantastic vlog. 1:02:52 really looks great at night. 2010 was the last time I seen AT at night.
I really hope it’s something that they do more of in the future. Forbidden Valley now especially looks amazing at night!

I have also heard that the Nemesis Monsters claw that is ripping up the fake support next to the eye is infact an anamotronic and has been rumored to be testing out of park hours so hopefully we will see that moving soon and sinked in with the eye and we will see it opening amd closing and grapping the support when the train goes past!

I do hope to head back to Blackpool at some point this year, however it takes a bit more planning for that one as it’s a 4 hour drive away from me! I suspect I’ll revisit during the summer months 😊 Will keep you posted.

yes i was after one of them too. only ones that was left what you showed in your Vlog & they wasn't worth that with only been Iron on transfer. im going back on tuesday so i can ride as many times as poss & hope grab the good quality hoodie then, tc be safe & keep the great content coming 👍
The machine that got replaced by the helicopter is an old mining drill. My old man used to drive similar machines. I hope it got kept and put on display somewhere. Always liked that link to the mining past.
I always assumed it was more a drill than gun as it was a nice link to how the pit was created for the original ride. It’s a shame it now appears to have been removed completely. Hopefully it makes a return at some point during the finishing touches to the area.
It is dismantled and few bits placed along the queue line. It's near where the big gun is that faces the corkscrew

Watched a lot of opening day vlogs.....yours is quality as always❤ AT have smashed this, the attention to detail is impressive, love the syncing of the eye and smoke with the trains. Forbidden Valley feels like it could be in Phantasialand the theming is so good. Is that a new barnet you're sporting btw? 😊

I'm off to Chessington on 29th June. I have autism and am very scared of rides and I'm looking for a theme park enthusiast to help me overcome my fears and come on with me.
Ahh well unfortunately I won’t be anywhere close to Chessington then but I really hope you have the best time! Take family or friends to help you overcome any fear you might have. Chessington has a great variety of rides that should let you build up from the ‘not scary’ to the more intense rides. Let me know how you get on. by the way, alton dropped festival of thrills and mardi gras, really to improve on events such as scarefest that have been very predictable the past few years, seeing the same mazes. although it might not seem the best at first, they're just trying to improve on the events they have currently. also, it is a real shame about the skyride and rapids, they've had like 6 months to do work on the rides and the rapids dont even look like theyve been cared for at all which is a shame lets just hope these issues get fixed 🤞🤞personally, i would like if they completely refurbished it, adding new theming such as african houses and water effects like other rapids have around the world.
Let’s hope they are much improved this year. Scarefest sounds like it could be quite promising, and I’m hoping for something in the summer too, even if it’s not an official event 👍🏻

I think its clear they had every intent to open the Skyride this season, after all, why else would you waste time and money refreshing and painting all the stations if you knew they were just going to sit there for another 12 months? I suspect something cropped up at the last minute which forced them to keep it closed
The rapids trough has had a jet wash over the winter (there are videos around from the company who did it) and they have reopened in the last week.

Hi Callum - I would love to do the Gullivers parks, however they have a strict policy of not allowing adults into their park that are not accompanying children. I hope this changes at some point!

Since the skyride was closed do yall have a station where you can rent wheelchairs, electric scooters for people with walking disabilities?
Hi Holly - there are a limited number of wheelchairs that can be hired from Towers Street (I believe it’s a £20 refundable deposit). However it’s first come first served, and it’s a very limited number. They could certainly do better in this area.

How was nemesis reborn
Honestly I didn’t notice too much different from the old ride in terms of the ride itself, possibly riding a little slower than before however given its new, I’ll let it settle in for a couple of months first! It really is all about the new theming that makes it feel fresh and they’ve done an awesome job! Thanks for watching 😊
